The cinema lovers in Kerala are in for a treat as two new movies are set to hit the screens tomorrow. Toby, a Kannada action drama starring Raj B. Shetty, and Theeppori Benny, a Malayalam comedy starring Arjun Ashokan, are the two films that will be released in theatres on September 22.

Toby, directed by debutant Basil Alchalakkal and written by Raj B. Shetty, is based on a short story by T.K. Dayanand. The film follows the life of Toby, a mute man who is often used as a hired killer by the village chief Ananda. The film also features Samyukta Hornad, Chaitra Achar and Raj Deepak Shetty in pivotal roles. The film has music composed by Midhun Mukundan and cinematography by Praveen Shriyan. Right on track came the posters featuring Saiju Kurup as Parameshwaran ‘Potty’, which denotes another Upper Caste surname like Nair, and Prithviraj as Abdulla ‘Marakkar’ — a Muslim for a change, but an ‘elite’ one nonetheless.
