Kory J. Hoang

Trivia

Kory J. Hoang

Edit
  • When he was 7 years old, Hoang discovered Michael J. Fox after Teen Wolf (1985) aired on TBS late-night programming. The following summer, he ordered as much of Fox's filmography as he could from Blockbuster's mailing service, including the Back to the Future trilogy, Doc Hollywood, and For Love or Money.
  • Before acting, Hoang was a formally trained percussionist who consistently performed between 6th grade and his senior year of college. He's been affiliated with groups like Georgia Southern's Southern Pride Marching Band, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket Marching Band, and Atlanta Quest's Q2 Independent Indoor Percussion.
  • Coming from a family full of musicians on his mother's side, Hoang taught himself how to play guitar after seeing Marty McFly's performance in Back to the Future.
  • The Quacking Pancakes YouTube channel was actually named after the comic publishing company that Kory Hoang and Evan Mullvain founded in 7th grade.
  • Kory Hoang is of Vietnamese descent on his father's side and Hmong descent on his mother's side.
