Following the financial success of Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, a direct sequel was announced with Grant Sputore directing and David Callaham writing the script, which will introduce several new human characters as the two titular titans "face off against a cataclysmic world-ending threat." Now, Warner Bros. has shared a video announcing that the sequel's official title is Godzilla x Kong: Supernova, along with the first footage from the film, which is now in production. The video begins in the Monarch offices and slowly tracks toward a computer screen, revealing an emergency alert and a real phone number, (240) Monarch, for fans to call and report a titan sighting.

The studio has shared an ominous first teaser for Godzilla x Kong, showing a Monarch call center office. The camera pans to one of the desks as the following warning flashes on the computer screen: "[Emergency Alert] – Severe. To Report a Titan Sighting, Call (240) Monarch." If fans respond to Monarch's call to action and dial the number, they will be treated to a recorded message from someone who works for the Monarch Community Support Hotline, asking them to "Press 1 to receive messages from the Monsterverse."
