The After Dark Originals continue to entice horror watchers to theatres this January 28th. The Task is one of the eight films to be shown by After Dark Films and this is a horror piece set within a reality show. Once immersed in a dilapidated correctional facility, a prison warden comes back from the dead to inflict torture. Cover your eyes and then watch the two minute trailer inside!

"Having accepted the challenge to play on The Task reality show, six students have each been offered the chance to win no less then $10 thousand dollars towards their college student loans. The only thing they'll be required to do, is survive the night of terrifying dares that await them in an abandoned prison. As they each take turns, testing their abilities to cope with the horror that lurks in the shadows, they will one by one face the ultimate terror.

Something diabolical is taking place on the set of The Task, a new reality show in which players complete terrifying missions within the confines of an abandoned prison hoping to win a hefty cash prize. As six young students explore their new environment, malicious spirits make their presence known in the most gruesome ways imaginable. Unable to escape the labyrinthine prison, the contestants become unwitting pawns caught at the center of a blood-soaked night of terror.

Well monster movie fans, another Horrorfest has come and gone: more chills, thrills, and blood spills have once again graced the silver screens and disappeared just as quickly. But After Dark Films understands that your murder-lust cannot be quenched with only a few films once a year so they’ve begun creating their own original horror movies, in a partnership with Lionsgate and the Syfy Chanel. This gritty film, written by Kenny Yakkel (Exorcism Diaries, Dead Air), stars Texas Battle (Final Destination 3), Alexandra Staden (Basic Instinct 2), and Jonas Talkington (Harpies). It was directed by Alex Orwell, produced by Courtney Solomon and Chris Milburn, and shot in Bulgaria. It is currently in post-production with a release date of fall, 2010.
