The film, produced by Maverick Films (under Madonna and Guy Oseary) and distributed by MGM, grossed over $16.9 million at the box office. Carney is also the creator, producer, and star of Twentyfourseven, MTV's documentary-style reality series that followed seven young men chasing success in Hollywood. Dubbed the real-life Entourage, much like Laguna Beach was to The O.C., the show ran for eight episodes and gained a cult following for its authentic portrayal of ambition, struggle, and brotherhood in the entertainment world.
