While everyone knows Captain America is a hero, there's always been a grain of truth to Tony Stark's MCU insult that, "everything special about you came out of a bottle." Steve was given a peak human physique by science, including perfect reflexes and even enhanced mental acuity. He may be uniquely self-sacrificing and scrappy, but Steve Rogers was essentially just handed the tools he needs to be a hero... at least that's how it seemed.

The trinity of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor, come together while getting their classic comics-accurate costumes in new fan art. As the MCU is introducing new heroes and fleshing out established ones, it has still been a transition period when it comes to moving on without two of the three heroes that began the franchise. While Thor is still around, Tony Stark and Steve Rogers' adventures came to a conclusion in Avengers: Endgame, with Iron Man sacrificing himself while Captain America retired and passed on the mantle to Sam Wilson.
Nevertheless, it's hard not to miss the beloved MCU trinity that was integral to the first three phases of the popular Avengers franchise. Artist Art of Time Travel, a popular digital artist, agrees, bringing Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, and Chris Hemsworth's respective characters together with some classic costume designs.

The Contest of Chaos promises to be a fun summer romp for Marvel Comics, and the newest matchup is a battle between Iron Man and Storm. The crossover takes place across several series' annual one-shots, as a result of an upcoming conflict between Scarlet Witch and Agatha Harkness. The Armored Avenger at the height of his inventiveness and success might have been a match for Storm's power, but the broke Tony Stark with one armor of today will have to be creative if he hopes to have a chance against the Regent of Sol. Of course, many key aspects of Contest of Chaos remain hidden, so there may be unforeseen factors that level the playing field between the two.

Spider-Man is one of two characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe getting four solo movies, and with his mentor Tony Stark/Iron Man gone, he might be the one leading the next Avengers team, and he might do so in Avengers: Secret Wars due to his most recent adventures. Since his debut in Captain America: Civil War, Tom Holland’s Spider-Man has become one of the most popular characters in the MCU, and after his role in the MCU’s biggest multiversal adventure to date in Spider-Man: No Way Home, the web-slinger might be on his way to becoming one of the most important characters in the MCU’s Multiverse Saga.

With Gamora's help, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 settles Iron Man's death as a definitive farewell to Robert Downey Jr.'s original iteration of Tony Stark, making an Avengers: Secret Wars return possible. Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame concluded the Infinity Saga with various major casualties, including Loki, Heimdall, Gamora, Vision, Black Widow, and Iron Man. Yet, the Multiverse Saga has brought some of these characters back with the help of the multiverse, which makes it possible for them to eventually rejoin the McU's main universe.
The concept of the multiverse is tricky to handle, as it could make heroes and villains practically invincible. Infinite versions of characters could return over and over indefinitely and make death irrelevant. However, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 takes a big step towards fixing this issue, which multiversal MCU titles such as Loki and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse had already addressed.

As though they didn't have enough trouble from them already, there are many movie heroes who unwittingly created their own villains. This is often a useful device to generate dramatic tension because a villain created by a hero will usually come back to put the hero in peril, inspiring a fierce rivalry that can propel the entire plot of a movie. In these instances, this conflict allows a hero to explore the innermost recesses of their turmoil, because often the darker parts of them are reflected in the villain who acts as a mirror, or even a cautionary tale meant to inspire them on their altruistic path.
These situations can also inspire empathy and even mercy when a movie hero becomes aware of the damage that they've done to someone who, without their intrusion or misguidance, might have turned out entirely differently. Sometimes, it's the movie hero's ego that leads...

Marvel Studios could retcon several moments from the McU's history to include Kang the Conqueror, the Multiverse Saga's major villain. Jonathan Majors debuted as a variant of Kang the Conqueror, He Who Remains, in Loki season 1, before starring as the Conqueror himself in Phase 5's Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Though not much is yet known about Kang's backstory in the MCU, his ability to travel through time makes his story more complex than most. This also creates the opportunity for Marvel Studios to easily integrate Kang into the history of the established MCU, which could explain some major mysteries from the McU's past.
The concept of time travel was first introduced to the MCU during Avengers: Endgame, as the remaining Avengers embarked on the Time Heist to collect the Infinity Stones from various periods in the McU's history. These actions indirectly led to Kang the Conqueror and his...

Warning! This article contains spoilers for The Invincible Iron Man Vol. 5 #6 Iron Man is one of the Avengers’ founding members in both the comics and the MCU, and on top of that, he’s also one of the most powerful right there next to the likes of Thor and Captain America. While Iron Man himself is clearly a force to be reckoned with, even he will admit that there’s one MCU Avenger who has the potential to be a legitimate threat to him as well, proving this Avenger is way deadlier than the movies pretend: Hawkeye.

In the Marvel Cinematic Universe film Avengers: Age of Ultron, Helen Cho is introduced as a brilliant geneticist responsible for creating the technology that leads to the creation of Vision. But despite her vital role in the plot, Cho is often considered the most forgettable character in the film. While there are several reasons for this, including her limited screen time and the crowded nature of the movie, the most significant factor is her lack of development and exploration as a character.
Cho was introduced relatively quickly in the movie. But she doesn't have much time to develop and connect with audiences on a personal level. The geneticist was first seen at Avengers Tower, attending a party. Later in the film, she was shown working on a regeneration cradle, which was used to create Vision. Cho last appeared at The Avengers' new training facility at the end of the movie.

Actors are known to transform themselves, emotionally and physically, to disappear into their roles, but these performers look unrecognizable in upcoming movies and TV shows. From the use of prosthetics to affix an entirely new face onto their own and growing beards, to wearing wigs and dying their hair, these actors aren't afraid to cash in on their trademark looks to commit to the story. In many ways, the process of turning into completely different people can be both challenging and liberating, particularly if an actor is known for their distinct and recognizable features.
Upcoming sci-fi epics like Dune: Part 2, HBO's Dceu origin story Penguin, and other genre movies and TV shows are appropriate — even expected — places to find actors undergoing a shocking metamorphosis to become their characters. However, there are a few projects set in the real world that also feature actors becoming characters startlingly removed from themselves...

It's safe to say Fast X has been one of the most anticipated sequels in a while. The Fast & Furious franchise, after all, has been a massive Universal Pictures tentpole, raking in the bucks globally. And make no mistake: this tenth installment is due for a big box office opening that's almost as big as its cast.
It shows the power of Dom Toretto's (Vin Diesel) family and the extent to which fans love their story. They've evolved from ground-level street racers into super spies since the first film in 2001. But now, the crew's about to meet their biggest threat in Dante Reyes (Jason Momoa) -- someone more than just a gangster with guns and knives. Interestingly, it's still unconfirmed if this final chapter will be a two-parter or a trilogy. As a result, folks are curious if there will indeed be a post-credits sequence to set up the continuation of the series.

In the upcoming Ultimate Invasion crossover, the threat of the evil version of Reed Richards called the Maker to the main Marvel universe will see the return the Illuminati to oppose him. In the latest trailer for this ambitious crossover event, the controversial clandestine group of iconic Marvel figures gets together to discuss the Reed Richards of the Ultimate Fantastic Four. While this is not the first time Mr. Fantastic has struggled against doppelgangers with less-than-honorable motives, the fact that he had to gather the Illuminati signifies the threat the Maker represents to the Marvel universe overall.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has finally moved away from the Infinity Saga, but that doesn't mean there are no plot holes left from the first three phases of the MCU, and this universe continues to ignore a big plot hole about Thor that Avengers: Age of Ultron left. The success of the first Avengers movie in Phase 1 set the bar high for the sequel in Phase 2, but unfortunately, Avengers: Age of Ultron didn't live up to expectations and did more harm than good, and though some plot holes and loose ends have been addressed as the MCU has expanded, not all questions left by the second Avengers movie have been solved yet.

There are many reasons to watch a trend. People have a habit of thinking everything is permanent but are often surprised when, years later, they’re making fun of (or loathing) the very thing they loved.
Superheroes may be that next trend, and the MCU and Dcu must be very careful about their next steps.
The Story So Far
The MCU has made over 26 billion dollars worldwide—no drop in the bucket. When Iron Man came out, it was a huge gamble. Not just the fact that this was a character that most people weren’t aware of, but it was in the hands of an indie director working with a threadbare script and an uninsurable lead actor. But it worked. It was solid, and it launched a franchise that took over cinemas for the next fifteen years.

He's made it clear that he wants to make the world a better place through his climate change efforts, and now he has a new show that dives in deep with his love of cars and his willingness to change them to benefit society. Iron Man has a collection of heroes who can replace him in Phase 6 of the MCU. However, some candidates are better suited than others despite their shared potential to inherit his legacy. After all, filling in the shoes of Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) is a rather tall order for any current or future Avenger.
As seen in Avengers: Endgame, Tony Stark sacrificed himself to defeat Thanos, ensuring that half of all life in the universe would remain restored five years after the Snap with the Infinity Stones. Using the Stones which claimed his life, Iron Man's final act was his greatest in the MCU. As such, the legacy he left behind means someone will eventually step up to become the McU's next Armored Avenger, likely in Phase 6 with Avengers: Kang Dynasty and/or Avengers: Secret Wars. Here are the 5 top heroes to replace Iron Man, ranked from least to most likely.

In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the concept of despicable dads has popped up a few times. Howard Stark wasn't the most loving toward Tony Stark, which did shape the Iron Man legacy. In addition, Ego was also quite toxic toward Peter Quill (Chris Pratt), but still, some good came from these scenarios. However, Thanos was the one who really topped the list, coming off as the coldest, most heartless of the bunch.
Not to mention, a swath of death and destruction followed him. It's something that has always resonated in the Guardians of the Galaxy movies, with Gamora and Nebula playing such key roles. No matter what, fans can't forget how he conditioned and mentally abused them as he tried to assume godlike power with the Infinity Gauntlet. Ironically, come Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3,...

But it almost never happened, as MCU chief Kevin Feige originally had someone else in mind to don the stylish facial hair of reformed weaponeer Tony Stark.

2008's Iron Man brought fans into the Marvel Cinematic Universe and has enthralled fans for years. However, when Iron Man was released, it was at a time when connected movies weren't as abundant. As a result, many factors that feel common now were far more unique and meticulous when it started, like Easter eggs.
In the MCU, Easter eggs have helped fuel audience speculation and offer a small but significant insight into what could be coming next. For example, in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Doctor Strange was name-dropped two years before his solo movie would release. This helped prove the storytelling power that Easter eggs could have on a universe. But Iron Man offered one of the most eye-opening Easter eggs tied to Captain America and may have informed an upgrade the hero would get years later.

When Jon Favreau made "Iron Man" in 2008, he, like many, assumed it might be the last time audiences ever saw the character on the big screen. As such, he included a few cute in-jokes that were never really meant to be extrapolated into future movies. One was the post-credits stinger when Iron Man was approached by Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) about joining a team called the Avengers Initiative. Favreau has admitted in interviews that it was meant to be nothing more than a wink to fans, and not a promise of things to come.
The other in-joke was the film's last line of dialogue. When asked if he knew anything about the mysterious armor-clad superhero that had been rocketing around the world disarming terrorists, Tony Stark winked and said out loud "I am Iron Man." In superhero comics, his secret identity would have been vital. With that single line of dialogue,...

Iron Man’s holographic technology in Captain America: Civil War came back to menace the MCU’s heroes in Spider-Man: Far From Home, but it can return in an eventual X-Men adaptation. Created by Quentin Beck for Stark Industries, Barf (Binarily Augmented Retro-Framing) is a highly advanced holographic technology system with seemingly unlimited applications. Tony Stark modified Barf to use in trauma therapy, but the system could easily reappear in the MCU’s inevitable X-Men properties as a reimagined iteration of iconic X-Men lore.
Despite Tony Stark’s altruistic intentions for Barf in Civil War, the technology fell back into the hands of Quentin Beck in Far From Home, allowing him to manipulate Spider-Man, Shield, and the world as a whole as Mysterio. Despite Mysterio’s death at the end of Far From Home, Barf can easily resurface in the MCU via Marvel Studios' first project dedicated to the X-Men.

The following contains spoilers for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, now playing in theaters.
Peter Quill's superhero title in the Marvel Cinematic Universe was always a deliberate joke. The character has more than a little Peter Pan in him -- a big kid not all that dissimilar from DC's Billy Batson -- and naturally gives himself a big-kid title: "Star-Lord." Of course, no one's heard of him: a gag that more or less kicks off the Guardians of the Galaxy movies and remains one of the saga's most consistent running jokes.
That changed as he made his way through the galaxy, and the moniker eventually attained the respect he desired (in as much as anything the Guardians do merits respect from the rest of the galaxy). But in the process, the MCU never quite clarified why he uses it. It's a reasonably anonymous title, which is part of...

The release of the MCU’s Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 3 featured a few classic songs that tied into the ongoing narrative of the franchise. 2014's Guardians of the Galaxy was one of the first MCU movies to put a focus on music that helped fans relate to the out-of-this-world sci-fi story. However, other entries in the shared superhero universe have also followed suit over the years.

Marvel Studios' Black Panther ended with two post-credits scenes, setting up stories for the immediate future of the MCU. While Chadwick Boseman debuted as T'Challa, a.k.a. the Black Panther, in 2016's Captain America: Civil War, Ryan Coogler's Black Panther brought the Protector of Wakanda back to his home nation. Following its release in February 2018, Black Panther quickly became one of Marvel Studios' most successful properties, grossing over $1.3 billion worldwide and being the first superhero film to receive a Best Picture nomination at the Academy Awards - and the first MCU film to win in multiple categories.
Black Panther detailed T'Challa's return to Wakanda as King following the death of his father, T'Chaka, in Captain America: Civil War. The original six Marvel Cinematic Universe Avengers posses varying degrees of power. The original Avengers team assembled in 2012's The Avengers, going on to appear in three more team-up movies, minus Hawkeye in Avengers: Infinity War. The original team memorably consisted of Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow, and Hawkeye.
2019's Avengers: Endgame saw the original team disband, with two of their number dying in the movie's ending. Their deaths and Steve Rogers' fateful decision made way for a new version of Earth's Mightiest Heroes to form in the McU's future. But while the MCU has turned the page on the Infinity Saga's Avengers, the six characters are likely to remain synonymous with the team name for years to come. Here's a breakdown of the original Avengers roster, their respective powers, and how they compare to to each other.

Several theories have created huge connections between the McU's new big villain, Kang the Conqueror, and the wider world of Marvel Studios' franchise. In the wake of Thanos' defeat in Avengers: Endgame, the MCU needed a new major supervillain to take his place, and Kang the Conqueror was the perfect fit for the McU's Multiverse Saga. Debuting as He Who Remains in Loki, Jonathan Majors soon took on the role of Kang the Conqueror himself in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and also brought a variety of other variants to life. As the villain's story continues to develop, many theories have arisen concerning Kang's existence in the MCU.
In Marvel Comics, Kang is depicted as a 31st Century scientist and the descendent of the time-traveling Nathaniel Richards (Reed Richards' father). Using Richards' technology, Kang journeys throughout history, taking on many names and guises and creating a plethora of variants,...

A lot has already been said about Chris Pratt's historic use of the F-word in James Gunn's cosmic trilogy capper "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3." For the last decade or so, Pratt and his co-stars have been trying to get just one cuss word to make it into the final cut of the Marvel movies they've been a part of, and finally, the dream has been realized. As the only earthling, Peter Quill was perfectly suited to belt out our planet's favorite expletive, especially during a sequence that takes place on the High Evolutionary's experimental Counter-Earth. Out of any major MCU character, Star-Lord was the obvious choice to drop an F-bomb, save for maybe Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) who came oh so close to saying "Motherf******" when he gets dusted during the post-credit scene in "Avengers: Infinity War."

Tom Holland's Spider-Man is one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's most beloved heroes, and Marvel has already set up a possible list of candidates to replace the hero if need be. Holland debuted as Spider-Man in 2016's Captain America: Civil War. Since then, the actor has been racking up MCU appearances, with seven movies as Spider-Man under his belt. Holland's trilogy finale, Spider-Man: No Way Home, used the multiverse to bring in Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's versions of Spider-Man to create a generational event.

As the saying goes, art imitates art, and this phenomenon is especially true in cinema. Reboots and revivals have been all the rage in the last decade, but there are some movies that go way beyond that. Certain movies end up having almost an identical plotline, once the frills and secondary details melt away. These twin movies share several plot similarities but might be fundamentally very different.

I hate to upset people, but those who longed to see Tony Stark doing a load of laundry in the 2008 film "Iron Man" will not get their wish.
It seems the scene was filmed, but then cut from the film and left on the cutting room floor. It was never included in any of the film's Blu-ray/DVD special features, and it was never screened outside of editing bays and the rooms where producers review dailies. The "Iron Man" laundry scene is, it would appear, lost to time.
To remind readers, the opening of Jon Favreau's "Iron Man" -- a positively quaint film when compared to the groaning machinations of the Marvel Cinematic Universe it spawned -- was about a hotshot inventor and weapons manufacturer named Tony Stark who was kidnapped by Middle Eastern terrorists. The terrorists, led by the gangster Abu Bakkar (Sayed Badreya), had been stealing Stark...

The Marvel Cinematic Universe really gives us a novelty that took forever for comic book movies to fully embrace. The idea of superhero properties crossing over and building to a much wider world is something that’s in the DNA of the source material. Outside of the Lou Ferrigno Hulk rubbing elbows with half-realized versions of Thor and Daredevil, it’s something that we never truly got to see until Nick Fury stopped by Tony Stark’s house after the Iron Man credits. Before that, the closest thing we had was J. Jonah Jameson referencing the existence of Doctor Strange. Even their rivals at DC Comics couldn’t give us more than a Superman reference in Batman and Robin or a Batman and Robin reference in Steel.
But we did have some close calls over the decades. Some closer than others. Movies and sequels that would have brought together various...

Iron Man producer Jeremy Latcham claims there are multiple "embarrassing" deleted scenes from the acclaimed 2008 superhero film that will never be released, including one that airs some of its dirty laundry -- literally.
Per Screen Rant, Latcham says there are "three or four" deleted scenes from Iron Man the public will never see because of how "bad" they are. One scene in particular concerned Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, featuring notable Iron Man antagonist Abu Bakaar (Sayed Badreya) doing laundry. Feige insisted the scene couldn't come out as it would make Marvel look incompetent. "There are still three or four deleted scenes from [Iron Man] that I don't think will ever be released because they were so bad," Latcham said. "I remember Kevin saying to me in 2012, when I was like, 'Should we put the Abu doing laundry deleted scenes out?' And Kevin was like, 'No. We can never put out Abu doing laundry.

Avengers: Age of Ultron is generally acknowledged to have mishandled the Avengers' love lives, particularly those of Black Widow, Hawkeye, and Hulk. However, except for Vision and Wanda, Age of Ultron managed to screw up the dating life of every single member of the team permanently. From refusing to follow up on Steve's romance from Captain America: The Winter Soldier to confusing Tony's promise to Pepper to once again not including Jane Foster, the film left the core team's dating lives scattered and ultimately made sure they could never truly find a romantic happy ending for the sake of short-term drama.

Tony Stark never struck us as a particularly private guy. There's one scene from the first MCU movie that still hasn't seen the light of day, and chances are it probably never will. Released in 2008, the original Iron Man officially kicked off what would become the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It features Robert Downey Jr. making his debut as Tony Stark, the billionaire who suits up as the titular superhero. The Jon Favreau-directed film was a huge success, spawning multiple sequels along with a slew of crossover films, culminating with the end of Rdj's run in the role of Iron Man in 2019's Avengers: Endgame.
In a new chat with ScreenRant, producer Jeremy Latcham reflected on the first Iron Man and divulged details of a scene that Kevin Feige felt was too embarrassing for Marvel fans to see. Because of that, the scene was withheld from home video releases for the film, and to this day, it still has not been seen.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3's ending provides a clever solution for a potential problem involving the cosmic team's role in Avengers: Secret Wars. After Avengers: Endgame left the bar extremely high, the MCU has been left with the responsibility of matching the epic scale of the Infinity Saga's conclusion with Avengers: Secret Wars, which not only could gather together all past and present heroes but also their multiversal variants. However, some obstacles could arise before that happens.
The original Guardians of the Galaxy go on a final adventure together during the beginning of the McU's Phase 5, which barely reaches the Multiverse Saga's midpoint. With a new Avengers team yet to take shape and the Council of Kangs' threat looming on the horizon, the Guardians' definitive farewell could have seemed premature, as their absence would have been deeply felt in Avengers: Secret Wars. The Marvel Cinematic Universe wasn't quite so organized in its early years. There were many ideas on the table and many years of planning before the MCU turned into the massive franchise it is today. It was even the plan for the first Avengers film to feature the Incredible Hulk as the antagonist, much like he was in the 1963 Marvel comic. But one early MCU deleted scene offers another hint at a different direction the franchise might have taken.
The scene can be found in Marvel Studios' second film, 2008's The Incredible Hulk. While many fans may forget the movie, it introduced some of the longest-running concepts in the MCU. Not only did it mark the first time Tony Stark made a cameo in a film, strengthening the bonds of the shared universe, but it also hinted at the origin of Captain America, three years before The First Avenger. The following article contains pretty major spoilers for "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3" so proceed with caution.

We've heard from some of the actors, like Dave Bautista, that they're just done with Marvel, we know James Gunn has moved into the lead creative role at DC, and all the marketing was touting Vol. 3 as the final chapter of the "Guardians" series as we know it.

The average comic book movie viewer is actually aware that these actors signed multi-year deals, so even if Bautista wasn't telling every interviewer that he's done after the latest "Guardians" movie,...
