In Deep Cover starring Bryce Dallas Howard, Orlando Bloom, and Nick Mohammed, the comedy format is deployed to infiltrate London's criminal underworld. The film released first-look images last year, but Amazon has just released a trailer for the comedy, which is coming to Prime Video on June 1st.

The film will adhere to the comedy rule of threes, teaming up a trio for the criminal mayhem. Bryce Dallas Howard plays Kat, an improv teacher who fears she may have missed her shot at fame. Orlando Bloom's character is an intense method actor who uses improv as a tool to hone his craft and stay immersed in a role, while Nick Mohammed is the window character and the audience's surrogate into the world of improv as a down-on-his-luck everyman who wants to find his confidence.

Going into the ceremony, Wicked and Conclave are the top 2 nominated films this year, both garnering 11 nominations. FX’s Shogun has the most TV show nominations this year with 6 total.

Although it is easy to compare his dreamlike, esoteric work to other international auteurs like Frederico Fellini or Michelangelo Antonioni, it would be disingenuous to suggest that Sorrentino lacks perspective. In fact, the wry sense of humor, interest in pop music, and playful skips through time that may have once been derided as lazy have become integral to his style.
