Though she came to LA to pursue TV writing, Crystal Ann Taylor has discovered that her true calling is acting. She hails from Chicago, where she was a biochemist and a magazine editor. Because of this past, she is well-versed in medical-speak and science-speak. She also has a life-long interest in Native American culture.
She has won awards for her poetry and has had short stories published in small magazines in the US, UK, and Italy. She also contributed to the writing of most of the articles written about the projects she participated in which are listed in Index Medicus. A happy day in her career was when she sold the story "War Wagon" to the series "Hercules, the Legendary Journeys."
An even happier day was when she got to act in her first film, "Burden of Esteem."
And on March 27, 2019, Crystal Ann Taylor was able to fulfill one of her cherished acting goals. She was cast in one of SAG-AFTRA's live radio plays at the Autry Museum of the American West. She played Katie, the maid, in My Favorite Husband: "Knitting Baby Booties."
