Amarasiri Kalansooriya was born on 20 September 1940 in Kandy, British Ceylon. He was an actor, known for Apeksha (1979), Megha and Hanthane Kathawa (1968). He was married to Ajantha Thalatha Kumari Ekanayaka. He died on 1 April 2023 in Ja Ela, Sri Lanka.
