Ben Affleck and Matt Damon have done some great work together. That might hold true when Netflix releases Rip later this year. But another project involving Affleck and Damon has gone a bit awry.

The film is called Animals, with a screenplay penned by Billy Ray (who also wrote Captain Phillips and The Hunger Games) and Connor McIntyre, and Damon was set to star while Affleck directed. The start date for filming got pushed back, though, and other projects for each of Affleck and Damon forced a change in roles.

Damon had to bow out of Animals completely as he would soon be filming in Christopher Nolan's new film, The Odyssey, and that made his availability for Animals impossible. Affleck made the decision to not only keep directing the Netflix project, but to take over the featured role vacated by Damon as well.

It’s been great to see Ben Affleck and Matt Damon joining forces on screen more often, and their latest collaboration will debut on Netflix this fall. Rip, a crime thriller written and directed by Joe Carnahan, follows a “team of Miami cops whose trust begins to fray when they discover millions in cash in a derelict stash house. As outside forces learn about the size of the seizure, everything for the team is called into question — including who they can rely on.” Netflix has dropped a first-look image at Rip, featuring Affleck and Damon showing off their chair-sitting skills, and you can check that out below.

Affleck spoke onstage at the Next on Netflix Special Presentation (via People), teasing that the movie “takes a look at the things people will do for money” and that it’s something of a cross between Heat, Narc, and Training Day. Sounds good to me.

Silo is a dystopian sci-fi series created by Graham Yost (Justified) based on a series of novels by Hugh Howey. The season 2 finale aired on January 17 and fans are eager to find something to fill the void until the third season airs on AppleTV+.

Lionsgate has brought online the extended look for From the World of John Wick: Ballerina that was shown at Ccxp in São Paulo, Brazil over the weekend.

Stars Ana de Armas, Ian McShane, Norman Reedus and director Len Wiseman took on the iconic Thunder Stage on Sunday for an electric finale panel at Ccxp.

The action-packed panel kicked off with a spectacular dance and stunt performance by local artists followed by a special conversation with the cast and director. Ana, Ian, Norman and Len were welcomed by a wildly enthusiastic crowd, with cheering fans holding up signs for the cast, and thunderous applause for the new footage.

Ian shared a moving tribute to his former co-star, Lance Reddick, who played Charon in the John Wick franchise. The crowd was also treated to a surprise pre-recorded greeting from Keanu Reeves and producer Chad Stahelski.

Lionsgate has revealed a short teaser for the upcoming John Wick spin-off flick Ballerina, set to release next summer.

Frame it anyway you want, but From The World Of John Wick: Ballerina has a bit of a PR job on its hands. It’s got to convince potential audiences that a visit to the cinema will guarantee them the same level of high-quality action and thrills that they’d get from a mainline John Wick movie, and it’s been bumpy up to this point.

Far be it from me to talk down a movie’s chances before it arrives, but the public perception of reshoots often leads to the assumption that a film’s in trouble. The extensive reshooting of Ballerina means that chatter around the film is already focusing on whether it’s doomed or not.

Lionsgate is bringing light in darkness, unveiling a character poster for Ana de Armas’ Eve Macarro, the titular ballerina of the upcoming John Wick spin-off movie, adding to the already peak anticipation for this expansion. Following their Ccxp presentation Sunday, Lionsgate also released a new extended look featurette examining the film.

As you can see on the poster, Eve is tatted up, with one notable phrase standing out above the rest: Lux in Tenebris, which is Latin for Light in Darkness. That might feel a little on the nose, but it does give us a better glimpse into her psyche – especially when she’s got a gun in her hand. The poster has incredible coloring to it, too, which plays off of the trailer quite nicely. Check it out:

Ana De Armas is finally stepping into the John Wick universe with the next installment in the massive action franchise previously led by Keanu Reeves.

Ahead of the spin-off’s June 6, 2025 premiere, Lionsgate unveiled a new featurette for From the World of John Wick: Ballerina during a Comic-Con Brazil panel, which was livestreamed on YouTube on Sunday.

The featurette was introduced by Reeves and John Wick director Chad Stahelski in a pre-recorded message. “Today is a big day,” said the latter. “Keanu and I are thrilled to welcome Ana, Norman [Reedus] and [director Len Wiseman] into the world of John Wick. And we couldn’t be happier that the amazing Ian McShane could be there with you in person.”

Reeves added, “So, remember all the amazing crazy stuff going on in Chapter 3? Well, it turns out there was a lot of stuff you didn’t see.”

From season 3 made a popular fan romance come true at a brutal cost. Given the many horrors that From's characters constantly have to face in the Town, romance is often not at the forefront of the series. At the same time, romance has blossomed and been rekindled in the Town. Ellis Stevens (Corteon Moore) and Fatima (Pegah Ghafoori) would never have met, let alone fallen in love and gotten married, if they had not become trapped in the Town.

When the Town trapped Marielle (Kaelen Ohm), she was unexpectedly reunited with her fiancée, Kristi Miller (Chloe Van Landschoot), who had been missing for months. Meanwhile, Tabitha Matthews (Catalina Sandino Moreno) and Jim Matthews (Eion Bailey) were preparing to get divorced before they became stranded in the Town with their children but have since rebuilt some of their marriage.

Warning: There are spoilers ahead for From season 3, episode 10, "Revelations: Chapter Two."A From theory suggests that Eloise Kavanaugh (Ellie Cluett) may still be alive. Eloise was the sister of Victor (Scott McCord), one of From's best characters who has been trapped in the Town for decades. Victor was originally trapped in the Town with Eloise and their mother, Miranda (Sarah Booth), but had to learn to survive on his own. From season 3 revealed Miranda's fate, showing that she was killed by the Smiley monster (Jamie McGuire), although it is later explained that Tabitha Matthews (Catalina Sandino Moreno) is a reincarnation of Miranda.

As for Eloise, Victor has spoken before about how his sister died the same night Miranda told him to stay in the Town's root cellar. During the From season 3 ending, Victor takes his father, Henry (Robert Joy), to where he buried what was left of Eloise after the monsters' massacre.

The From season 3 finale addresses a long-running mystery about the monsters' ages. Since their introduction, From's nocturnal monsters have been one of the show's most prominent mysteries. They have terrorized, manipulated, and killed many of From's characters. The monsters' tactics only become more ruthless in season 3, including when they release all the farm animals and wait in the barn, where they brutally kill Tian-Chen Liu (Elizabeth Moy) in front of Boyd Stevens (Harold Perrineau).

While the monsters remain as terrifying as ever, the From season 3 ending does answer several major questions about them, including how and why they were created in the first place. The rebirth of the Smiley monster (Jamie McGuire), which was what was growing inside of Fatima (Pegah Ghafoori), also confirms that the monsters are immortal and Boyd did not permanently kill Smiley in season...

A subtle detail in From season 1, episode 1 cleverly hints at season 3's game-changing Tabitha Matthews (Catalina Sandino Moreno) and Jade Herrera (David Alpay) twist. The first episode sees the Matthews family and Jade both getting trapped in the Town, with Victor Kavanaugh (Scott McCord) later remarking that it has been a long time since two cars arrived on the same day. Since their introductions, Tabitha and Jade have become two of From's most important characters and have been determined to unravel the Town's mysteries.

The From season 3 ending reveals that Tabitha and Jade have been to the Town countless times before and have been reincarnated as many different individuals over the years. One of the children who was killed was Tabitha and Jade's daughter, and they have been repeatedly trying and failing to save the children and set them free.

A possible solution to escaping From's town might have been debunked in the season 3 finale. Even before the Matthews family became trapped in the first episode, many of From's characters have searched for a way to escape the Town. Abby Stevens (Lisa Ryder) tried shooting and killing all the residents, as she believed they were in a dream and this was the only way to wake them up. Sara Myers (Avery Konrad) heard voices that promised escape if she killed certain individuals.

Tabitha Matthews (Catalina Sandino Moreno) actually did escape the Town after being pushed out of the lighthouse during From season 2's ending, although she ended up trapped again in season 3. Dale (Cliff Saunders) tried to escape by going through the faraway bottle tree, but this ended up with Dale getting stuck and dying inside the wall of the Town's pool.

From season 3 solved many of the show's biggest mysteries, but there are still important questions that remain unanswered. The season 3 premiere immediately answers what happened to Tabitha Matthews (Catalina Sandino Moreno) after she was pushed out of the lighthouse and woke up in a hospital during From season 2's ending. Tabitha's time in Camden, Maine brings more answers and questions, especially where the family of Victor Kavanaugh (Scott McCord) is concerned.

From season 3, episode 8 addresses the lingering question of who threw the rope down to Boyd Stevens in the season 2 premiere and officially introduces time travel into the series. This episode also begins to answer even bigger questions through Victor's restored memory of Christopher (Thom Payne) and the Boy in White (Vox Smith). From season 3 reveals a difficult truth about the monsters despite Boyd Stevens (Harold Perrineau) killing one of them. All the residents in the Town have been terrorized by From's nocturnal monsters, who emerge each night without fail, and have found increasingly disturbing ways to torment their victims. The Talismans that Boyd discovered have been useful in keeping the residents protected from the monsters in an enclosed space. This allows From's characters to stay in their homes at night instead of having to hide as they did before Boyd found the Talismans.

“You can fall in love with a character, you can get really emotionally invested,” declares “From” star Harold Perrineau, “but they’re just like, ‘yeah, we don’t care, sorry, bye!” For our recent webchat he adds with a laugh, “We are trying to hurt your feelings!” referring to the series’ growing list of casualties as evidence that no character is safe on the horror drama. “Lately it’s been a steady stream of people who are like ‘I love ‘From,’ but if they kill Boyd, I’m gonna be mad!’ Like, I can’t control that!” he laughs. “It’s been really exciting to see that it’s really getting into people’s homes and they’re really digging it.” Watch our video interview above.

The season 3 finale of MGM+'s critically-acclaimed sci-fi horror series, From, is now streaming, and while "Revelations: Chapter II" did finally provide answers to at least a couple of the show's overarching mysteries, it also raised some new questions.

Episode 10: “Revelations: Chapter Two” kicks off with Fatima (Pegah Ghafoori) having strong contractions, showing that the birth of what’s growing inside her is near. While this is going on, Tabitha explains that Victor’s mother, Miranda (Sarah Boothe), was previously murdered by Smiley, and Ellis (Corteon Moor) tells Boyd (Harold Perrineau) that he thinks Elgin (Nathan D. Simmons) has something to do with Fatima’s disappearance. Oh, and the cicadas’ chirps pushed Randall (A.J. Simmons) to the point that he tried to shock himself in the head with a defibrillator.

The From season 3 finale may have answered some questions, but it has also given fans much more to think about. The MGM+ horror series ended on a massive cliffhanger, which included the death of one major character who left his wife, Tabitha (Catalina Sandino Moreno), alone to raise their two remaining children (one of their sons passed away before From began). We also learned that Tabitha and Jade have been in the town before in past lives.

Catalina Sandino Moreno has been a part of From since the very first episode. The series has heavily focused on her and her family as they navigate being stuck in a mysterious town that becomes overrun with murderous creatures at night. While she briefly found her way home, the town had other plans, summoning her back almost immediately. From season 3 is now streaming on MGM+ in its entirety.

From has been renewed for a fourth season ahead of its third season finale later this week. MGM+ announced the renewal of the sci-fi horror series via a short video on Instagram. Season three launched in September.
