All American’s Dollars For Dudes Mirrored One Tree Hill’s Boy Auction
Image
All American had a Dollars for Dudes charity event that ended up quite similar to One Tree Hill’s boy auction. In season 5 episode 8, Asher Adams (Cody Christian) took his girlfriend, Jaymee (Miya Horcher), to the hospital because she had chest pains. Unfortunately, that left her with a hefty medical bill that only a portion of was covered by insurance. In episode 10, Jaymee wanted to return to work before she was ready to earn the money to pay it back. Layla Keating (Greta Onieogou) came up with an idea with the vortex to hold a fundraiser to help raise funds so that she could focus on her recovery.

One Tree Hill’s season 1, episode 18, “To Wish Impossible Things,” had a similar episode where the Raven basketball players were auctioned off in the Annual Boy Toy Auction. While the episode was fun, it felt questionable that these teenage guys were auctioned off to the highest bidder.

Solis Studios, Kodiak Pictures to Co-Finance Defiant Studios Slate
Image
Eric B. Fleischman’s Defiant Studios has landed film slate financing from Solis Studios and Maurice Fadida’s Kodiak Pictures, Variety has learned.

Defiant, behind genre titles like “The Knocking” (pictured above during production) and “Offseason,” will make multiple features under the partnership, with the first to shoot this summer.

This is the first significant move by Solis, the film division of the media and tech collective led by former “One Tree Hill” star Brett Claywell and Brendan de Kauwe. The company’s goal is to create “deeper layers of engagement between content and the communities who consume it,” their mission statement says, including the utilization of blockchain technology. Solis also counts Polygon Studios as a technology partner.

“Over the past year we have truly aligned with this team and have become fans of their work, so we couldn’t be more thrilled to launch Solis Studios with this slate of films,...

What are the best LGBTQ soap opera love stories of all time: Will and Sonny? Olivia and Natalia? Luke and Noah? [Poll]
Image
Who were the best LGBTQ couples in daytime soap opera history? The sad truth is that there aren’t that many to choose from. Despite the shows dipping their toes in the water with queer characters and storylines in the 1990s — like Ryan Phillippe as groundbreaking gay teen Billy Douglas on “One Life to Live” from 1992 to 1993 — the show shied away from romance for its queer characters until the 21st century. Scroll down to read some of our forum posters’ favorites below.

Fish’s Flounder: Scott Evans Posts Nude Selfies
Prurient: having or showing too much interest in sex

We’ve been accused in the past of pandering to prurient interests, and we do take the criticism to heart. However … when a Tbl all-time favorite like Scott Evans decides to post nude selfies for the world to see … we have to think about the greater good.

Out actor Scott (brother of Captain America star Chris) is best known as Police Cop Oliver Fish on One Life To Live, and was one half of the show’s gay supercouple Kish (along with Brett Claywell as Kyle Lewis). For a while, they were the “it” gay couple on daytime TV, until they were unceremoniously dumped by Tptb.

Since then, Scott has had small roles in episodic TV, and an unfortunate run-in with the law last year.

And now, Scott has decided to join the growing trend of public figures posting nude selfies for the world to see.

No word yet on exactly what drugs were involved, but he was booked at 6:15Pm for attempting to possess a controlled substance.

Langford On Soaps: Are Kyle and Oliver Returning to "One Life To Live?"
Langford’S Picks And Pans

All That Matters

Florian got some bad news about Roman..

As I said last week, I can’t bring the clips of this storyline to you, but I did want to discuss it as it's an important arc for one of the most beloved TV gay couples. To begin, to my surprise, I’m really enjoying this storyline. Last week’s episodes detailing Roman's impending doom were terrific. The writing for this story has been unusually strong for this generally fluffy soap, and the acting is outstanding, especially by Igor Dolsgatschew, who plays Deniz.

The scene where Deniz begged Roman to tell Florian about his illness and then talked about his own feelings about losing the man he loves had me misting up as much as the actor. Dennis Grabosch as Roman was good, but I was really taken by his co-star's work. Dolsgatschew has...

Stripping 101: The Guys From "Magic Mike" Can Learn A Thing or Two From These Classic Male Strip Scenes
Channing Tatum, Matthew McConaughey, Alex Pettyfer, Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello, William Levi

As you've probably heard (we may have mentioned it a few times), Oscar winner Steven Soderbergh is preparing to film the Citizen Kane of beefcake films. No doubt, Magic Mike will be competing for Oscars this time next year.

Magic Mike is based on the early stripper life of actor Channing Tatum, who will star in the film alongside some of the most notable male specimens of this generation.

You may think that a film about stripping will be silly, and a walk in the park for these actors, but this is serious business. If there's one word that will never be used in conjunction with this movie, it's "fluff."

Oh wait. Actually, that word may play a role.

What I mean is that it's not going to be as simple as it looks. Stripping isn't only about taking your clothes off.

AfterElton Briefs: The TV Land Awards, Adam Lambert Talks Dirty, "And Tango Makes Three" Reclaims the Throne, and More!
Happy 33rd birthday to Brett Claywell, still our favorite guy in scrubs.

Good news for fans of Desperate Housewives. All four leading ladies have signed on for an eighth season, with an option for a ninth. And Vanessa Williams has also re-upped for next year, so the show will remain watchable. Speaking of renewals, EW.com has a scorecard of which shows are sure things to return, and which are "iffy." Brothers & Sisters is still on the second list. The TV Land Awards were filmed over the weekend, and usually I'd be squeeing all over the place looking at the pics. I'll still watch the program when it airs on TV Land on April 17th, but I'm just not as interested as I was say, two years ago when the planets aligned and we got Nph hosting, a Knot's Landing reunion, and a tribute to Sid & Marty Krofft that included...

Morning Meme: "Glee" Addresses the Pink Elephant, Taylor Lautner's Abs Don't Come Cheap, and "Law & Order: UK" Slang Primer
There are huge spoilers about Glee’s Super Bowl episode in this post concerning Sue Sylvester. But just how big and flashy is the episode? According to Chris Colfer, “It's by far the most expensive episode we've ever done. There was one scene where they were filming and they had two ambulances on standby, which is two more ambulances than they usually have. It's a big one."

Meanwhile, this post about Glee has Darren Criss addressing the future of Blaine and Kurt “We're definitely going to start seeing some layers to the two of them. The pink elephant in the room will finally be addressed, let's put it that way.”

The real Being Human, the one with Russell Tovey, is set to hit the air for its third season in the UK January 23rd. Which may not bode well for those with access to both the original and the American series.

Celebrity Twitterwatch: "What Are the Stars Watching?" Edition
Shouldn't it be raining glitter?

When Randy Rainbow, met Miss Coco Peru, he had nothing but good things to say about her show, which I'm betting means she had nothing but bad things to say in her show. But the fun kind of bad things, best said over martinis.

Celebrity Twitterwatch: Bird Brain Edition
Maybe the owl will chase you off.

Here at Twitterwatch, we use the 140 characters of Twitter to plumb the minds and souls of our favorite celebrities. And it turns out that some of them have birds other than the little blue bird of Twitter on their minds.

The closest I'll get to cuddling up to the hunk of my high school years.

New Kid on the Block Jonathan Knight looks exhausted. And I know how he feels. This summer I had an owl move into the oak tree outside my bedroom, and he was more reliable than a rooster for a 5:30 Am wakeup call. So I wish him good luck with chasing him down, because if he’s like mine, or the one at the top of the page, maybe he should just move.

Hope you all had a great Saturday! I have an owl to chase from a tree then off to bed!

AfterElton Briefs: Brett Claywell Runs For HIV/AIDS, Did Tim Gunn Go Too Far, and Glsen's School Climate Survey
Plus George Michael gets jail time, Aiden James gives away music, and did Will.i.am sing the next gay pride anthem on Sesame Street?

Because this is how I always dress when flying.

Above you can see Lady Gaga at the airport, with her new tattoo, a unicorn with a ribbon around its horn that has the title of her new album, "Born This Way." I find it increasingly difficult to believe that this entire Lady Gaga Dadt repeal effort &#8212 her Sldn escorts, her Twitter campaign and the response from Senator Harry Reid &#8212 wasn't an intricately orchestrated piece of theater. We need more of this in our politics. Brett Claywell broke Twitter silence to announce he's running the New York City Marathon to raise money for Grassroots Soccer, an organization that does HIV/AIDS outreach in Africa via soccer. He's looking for sponsors for $25 for a single African youth to $1000 for an entire classroom.

Twitterwatch: Tweets From Our Favorite Celebrities, Fictional Characters Edition
It's family reunion time on How I Met Your Mother.

Here at Twitterwatch, we mostly focus on the celebrities. But some celebrities have so much personality that they need a second identity just to hold it all. That character then comes to life and gets a publicist and a Twitter account all their own. With the fall television season around the corner, those personalities are waking up, and that's where we'll start today before hitting Broadway, knights, and even some male models.

We knew that Neil Patrick Harris' How I Met Your Mother character was going to discover his father isn't Bob Barker this season. So it makes sense that his family would be part of that journey, including his gay brother James, played by Wayne Brady. Sounds like they've filmed at least part of the arc.

We know from our own Michael Jensen's experience at TCA that...

Twitterwatch: Tweets From Our Favorite Celebrities, Equality Wins Edition
Well, at least the balls aren't blue.

Here at Twitterwatch, we're big fans of everyone being equal. Well, equal in all the important ways - we obviously place our celebrities on a pedestal. So it's great to know that our favorite celebrities also care about our rights, like how they reacted to the Prop 8 ruling. And don't worry, we have other things too. We'll celebrate Prop 8 at the end, O.K.? Let's start with people on the move.

Matthew Mitcham is presumably still wandering around the Gay Games in Cologne, Germany. I'm not sure if he's staying for Chrolli's September wedding or not, but he did pop in to bowl, or at least to pose for suggestive pictures with the equipment. I'm just impressed he made it over - he swore his boyfriend and his coach were certain he couldn't travel alone. He was confident he'd be all right as...

Twitterwatch: Tweets From Our Favorite Celebrities, Watching Us Watching Them.
Now that he mentions it, I totally see the resemblance.

Here at Twitterwatch, we try and bring you celebrity news straight from the celebrity's diamond-encrusted Blackberry, unfiltered. We also try and string together a coherent narrative with a lot of different celebrities over the course of a week, to varying degrees of success. This week, we're not even trying, because these folks are all over the map, so hang on and enjoy the ride.

Brett Claywell isn't nearly as prolific a Tweeter now that he's in Los Angeles with all the big time celebrities. But he gets some good ones in, mostly about the celebrities he meets. And as you can see at the top he's right - Kris Allen has more than a passing resemblance to Brett.

But it doesn't matter that Brett is on the west coast, and his television hubby Scott Evans is on the east coast,...

Twitterwatch: Tweets From Our Favorite Celebrities, Does This Tweet Make My Butt Look Big?
Both gurls in this picture are big and muscular.

Here at TwitterWatch, we've said goodbye to our abs and come to the realization that Twitterstalking celebrities for a living is not conducive to a healthy lifestyle. Our celebrities are a mixed bag though. Most make their living, at least partially on their good looks, but summertime BBQs provide a lot of temptation to be on Team Food instead of Team Gym.

Considering he runs in Broadway circles with a lot of actresses, when I saw Cheyenne Jackson tweeting about a "good facelift" I assumed he was at an event with Joan Rivers. It turns out he was just faking a good facelift with the #1 girl in his life, on a grassy hillock somewhere in New York City.

Comedian Josh Thomas, who announced his breakup from his boyfriend on Twitter, is experiencing the conflicts of being newly single and back in the dating pool.

Twitterwatch: Tweets From Our Favorite Celebrities, Who's Your Daddy Edition
Sierra Rose - you're getting so big!

Here at Twitterwatch, we don't really celebrate Father's Day. The common theory is that we evolved from a cockroach exposed to some toxic sludge in the Blungeon™. But lots of celebrities had something to say on Father's Day, and not all of it was the saccharine, "Thanks Dad!" stuff that makes your teeth hurt.

Our favorite gay dad, Scott Evans, thought about the fact that his signature character, Oliver Fish, would be celebrating his very first Father's Day (offscreen of course). He wondered if he'd get any well wishes from his onscreen hubby or the baby momma, which I think requires a Ouija board, not Twitter.

Brett Claywell didn't seem all that interested in Father's Day, but he may have been distracted. I know that when people insist on sticking me with needles, I'm lucky to remain conscious, much less shop for Hallmark cards.

Twitterwatch: Tweets From Our Favorite Celebrities, Feelings, Nothing More Than Feelings...
Maybe you should tip the hair person.

Here at TwitterWatch, we wear a permanent scowl because we're chained to the desk and haven't seen sunlight in years. We tend to live vicariously through the tweets of the celebrities we follow to bring you the best of Twitter. And this week, that took us on an emotional roller coaster ride.

Tom Lenk has set our own Flying Monkey an impossible task. Monkey usually only handles gay (or gayish) pop culture questions in his weekly column. Unfortunately, our recent solicitation tweet of "Have a question for the Monkey?" was possibly a bit too open-ended, prompting this from Lenk:

Among those making me feel happy is our little Fub, Scott Evans. When he's happy, he just radiates joy, and it's really contagious. I'm happy he's happy - and coming to a screen somewhere, I would guess, which also makes me happy.

Another person...

Twitterwatch: Tweets From Our Favorite Celebrities, Recreational Activities Edition!
No tweeting while driving!

It's summertime here at Twitterwatch, but while we're still chained to our desks scouring the information superhighway for your amusement (and watching reruns), the rich and the beautiful are off having fun. Let's check in with them as they live their fabulous lives.

At the top of the page you can see the Browncoat leader, Nathan Fillion on the track at the Indianapolis 500. But he wasn't just watching the race - since he's famous, he got to take a few laps around the track at high speed. That's on my bucket list, but for him, it's just a Sunday afternoon.

Bryan Safi's downtime resembles my downtime in a lot of ways. And evidently my grandmother's downtime too. Who am I kidding? I'm from West Virginia, my granny drinks 190 proof moonshine, and she'd kick Bryan's rear end for drinking those.

Another hottie hitting the sauce during...

'One Life to Live's' Scott Evans lands role in gay indie flick 'The One'
Proving that there is life after Kish, fired "One Life to Live" star Scott Evans has lined up his next project, an independent movie called "The One." Fans rallied in support of Evans and his co-star Brett Claywell after their gay storyline was written out of the soap.

According to AfterElton, Evans' new film is described as "a quick-witted, tender romantic dramedy about a young, successful Manhattan investment banker who lives the charmed Upper East Side Manhattan life about to marry the woman of his dreams who, a month before his wedding, meets and unexpectedly falls in love with a charismatic man from his past."

His love interest will be played by super-hot Jon Prescott, who has appeared on "One Life to Live" as Chad, and as Mike on "As the World Turns." The couple will have three love scenes in the film.

Openly gay Scott isn't the only Evans...

‘One Life to Live’s’ Scott Evans to appear in indie film
By Greg Hernandez

HollywoodNews.com: Writing Scott Evans character of Oliver Fish out of One Life to Live has got to be one of the biggest bonehead decisions in the history of daytime soaps.

The character had been on such a journey and had managed to continue to do his job as a police officer as he came to terms with his sexuality.

The exit of Fish and boyfriend Kyle Lewis (Brett Claywell) still makes me absolutely furious.

But Evans has moved on.

Best. Gay. Week. Ever! Hot Asian Men! What Was Gay at the Upfronts and More!
No Gay. Lesbian Joke. No Gay. Gay Joke. No Gay. Ooh, Look An Actual Gay!

This week the major networks announced their fall line-ups and mid-season replacements, and overall the news wasn't great for gay characters. Ugly Betty had already been deep-sixed on ABC, and as expected, NBC axed Trauma with gay paramedic Tyler and Mercy with gay nurse Angel, while the CW dropped Melrose Place, not that what's his face got much screentime anyway. Also not unexpectedly, ABC isn't bringing back the hilarious Better Off Ted which had two out actors Jonathan Slavin and Portia de Rossi, and which was usually gay-friendly.

Of the pilots that weren't picked up, the two biggest disappointments were ABC passing on the Cheyenne Jackson/Christopher Sieber sitcom It Takes a Village and CBS not going for the drama The Quinn-tuplets, both of which featured significant gay content.

So what did the networks go for of gay interest?...

Twitterwatch: Tweets From Our Favorite Celebrities, After Hours Edition
Looks good to me! w00f!

Summer is here, and just like regular folks, the celebrities we follow like to have some down time to enjoy the warm weather. We've got the scoop on their fun. Plus, we have a quick look at how some reacted to the Hot 100 list.

Up at the top of the page you can see out musician Aiden James shopping for a summer wardrobe. I'm on record as not being a fan of deep scoop neck shirts, but in his case I'm willing to make an exception. No, Aiden, it's not too much at all - unless you're willing to forgo the shirt completely.

If you're a musician, do you spend your off hours with music? Isn't that like taking your work home with you? Not for Tetu coverboy Jake Shears of Scissor Sisters. He seems to be a fan of LCD Soundsystem.

Our boy...

Presenting The 2010 AfterElton Hot 100!
The winner of the 2010 AfterElton.com Hot 100 is …Ramin Setoodeh from Newsweek!

Just kidding. Truthfully, we can’t imagine anything less appealing than the attitudes expressed by this out gay journalist who recently argued, ridiculously, that gay actors can’t play straight roles.

So who did come out on top? If you’re the kind of person who opens your Christmas presents early, go here to find the start of the list.

The three of you left might be interested to know that the most noteworthy thing about this year’s list is that the top seven positions are occupied by out gay men, five of whom are actors; last year, only the top three were out gay men, and only four of the top ten were gay.

Of the entire list, 26 were out gay or bisexual men — up from 20 last year. And for those who really like statistics, our...

AfterElton Briefs: Mr. Broadway Needs Our Help, Brett Claywell Open Up To "Details", The New Justin Beiber, and more!
Plus, backstage at the premiere of The Kid, the Harlem Renaissance, and the Great Global Kiss-In.

Brett Claywell sits down with Details about the beginning and end of Kish, and how he prepared to play a gay role:

"I didn't do any research because I didn't think it was necessary. I've been in love before. I've had great relationships. And so I don't think there's a big difference between a gay relationship and a straight relationship. Love is love. For me to play a gay character required no extra work than playing a straight character."

Rod 2.0 has a great read about Harlem Renaissance: As Gay as It was Black, a new exhibit at Florida Atlantic University.

Below you can see 12-year-old Greyson Chance perform Lady Gaga's "Paparazzi" on The Ellen Degeneres Show. He's already being called the next Justin Beiber.

Last night's Modern Family scored the show its best ratings ever.

Twitterwatch: Tweets From Our Favorite Celebrities, Taking a Break From Work Edition!
David Blue during his time as Marc St. James' boyfriend.

Here at Twitterwatch, we're all about work, because if we aren't, the Flying Monkeys come after us, and that's just not pretty. But celebrities are on an eternal school schedule, and many of them are already on summer break from their shows. This week we're going to take a look at how they spend their down time.

I really do enjoy it when celebrities play along, especially if I've maybe had a drink or two and respond. When this tweet came out from lovable David Blue, I responded back that I failed to see the problem. I still don't. He responded with a Ha!

Not necessarily trying to have heterosexual sex was Alec Mapa, who explained my problem with the dating world completely (other than my appearance and personality defects).

Afternoon Meme: Joy Behar Gives "Newsweek" a Pass, Casting Sue's Parents, and "Modern Family"'s Gayest Line Ever
Plus, talking with Louis Van Amstel, Jake's fear of ostriches, Daytime Emmys are a bust, Sofia Vergara's little friend, and finally someone asks if Mma isn't just a little gay!

Spurf™ asks a valid question: Since we’ve met Sue Sylvester’s sister, she needs parents. Who could possibly play her parents? I’m thinking Ed Asner as her dad, but all of my first choices for mom have passed away, like Bea Arthur or Dixie Carter. Ideas?

Glee’s Ryan Murphy has written a doozie of letter demanding a boycott of Newsweek over the horribly self-hating articles by Ramin Setoodeh. Which makes sense, since an editor somewhere agreed to publish the trash. It’s one thing for Setoodeh to basically admit that he can’t write if we don’t understand what he meant, but when my articles don’t make sense, Michael doesn’t publish them.

Afternoon Meme: "True Blood" Looking To Cast Another Gay Hunk, Colbert's Alphadog, and More!
Plus, Brothers & Sisters contemplates gay segregation, Sean Hayes' activism is a "byproduct," Lady Gaga is tops online, and Greta Gerwig is no Liza

Elizabeth Perkins is leaving her role on Weeds as the delightfully bizarre Celia Hodes for a big screen role as James Marsden’s mom in Hop, the Easter Bunny film with Russell Brand and Kaley Cuoco. If you ask me, that's a serious upgrade for onscreen kids.

Spurf™ says True Blood is casting a drug-addicted Talbot lookalike named Tony to compete for the affections of the Vampire King of Mississippi, Russell. If they can find two men that good looking and put them on the same show, my television may melt.

The same article says that on Brothers & Sisters' Saul is heading into a storyline with Kevin and Scotty, allowing “three gay characters to be in their own little orbit.” I think that sounds like a...

Twitterwatch: Tweets From Our Favorite Celebrities, Looking Good Edition
Beauty like this doesn't come cheap.

Here at Twitterwatch, we had a look at some of our favorite stars outer beauty last week. What's interesting is that this week, they seem to be interested in their own beauty in one way or another. Which is fine – we don't want them to suddenly have blogger bodies.

Scott Evans put himself on the auction block for charity this week, and I dare say there were many a soap fan emptying their piggy banks for a chance at a date with the hunky guy. Turns out that time with a creature as rare as a Fub is a prized commodity.

Cheyenne Jackson talks a good, lazy game, but somehow I don't think you get to look like him by lying in bed and watching Bravo while eating Bon Bons all day. Still, it's nice to think about Cheyenne cuddled up in bed all day.

Brad "Cheeks" Bell's Hot 100 Choices! Kish, an Olympian, and More!
This week we launched voting in our 4th Annual Hot 100 poll which lets the gay and bisexual male readers of AfterElton.com declare who they think the hottest men in the world are. Just as in year's past, we've asked some past Hot 100 honorees and other AfterElton faves to tell us who they think the hottest men on the planet are and one or two of the reasons for their choices.

We've already featured the picks of John Amaechi and Cheyenne Jackson, and today it's internet phenom Brad "Cheeks" Bell who reveals his top ten (and the reasons why).

Scott Evans, Brad Goreski, Matt Morris

Brad Goreski — Cute as a button with impeccable style. Brad also really seems to know who he is and can hold his own next to Rachel Zoe. That's hot.

Chris Colfer — He never did anything for me until I met him at the GLAAD awards and found him adorable.

Twitterwatch: Tweets From Our Favorite Celebrities, Who's Got a Crush Edition
Aww! Someone noticed us!

Last week, we mentioned that Brett Claywell had done some name dropping in his tweet about his birthday party. Shortly after it went up, this appeared in my feed:

So, based on how you party in that picture at the top, the answer is yes! Yes we would like to know who "the homies" are. And if possible, please provide photos.

It seems like so much of Tinseltown has an unrequited crush these days. Probably a sign that spring is in the air. But crushes take many forms.

The adorkable Tom Lenk seems to be crushing on Chelsea Handler, which is confusing, because he plays for our team. It turns out he's just crushing on her book, which he's been sleeping with each night. He should try a man instead. I'm available.

Nate Berkus seems upset that he can't fly Jet Blue on his next trip.

Daytime shows for Tori Spelling and Julie Chen in development
Tori Spelling has tackled a prime time drama, a sitcom, a reality show, and now she's making a move for her own daytime talk show. The La Times reports that ABC is in the early stages of developing a show featuring Tori and a male co-host.

The co-host has yet to be cast, but the network is looking for someone to be Tori's new Bff. Apparently ABC wants Tori and her co-host to have a "Will and Grace" vibe, but we hope they're more like Karen and Jack.

The development begs the question of where the show will fit into ABC's current lineup. ABC now has four hours of daytime programming: "The View," "One Life to Live," "All My Children," and "General Hospital." With a new show moving into the lineup, one of the soaps may have to go.

In other daytime news, CBS is working on a daytime vehicle for Julie Chen.

Welcome back to TwitterWatch, our weekly update of tweeted fun!

When you make your living playing an actual angel on Supernatural, and once played a character on Nip/Tuck who wanted a smaller penis, it's to be expected that you might be plotting for world domination like Misha Collins.

Of course he doesn't see anything wrong with that:

When it comes to a giant ego, you'd be hard pressed to find one bigger than Kiss frontman Gene Simmons. Remember when he said Adam Lambert should have stayed in the closet? His non-wife Shannon Tweed decided to bring it up again - almost a year later.

I'm guessing it's all about the marketing of a new season of Family Jewels that you're bringing it up now, isn't it?

'One Life to Live' star Brett Claywell talks about losing job after depicting gay sex scene in daytime
Brett Claywell
Fans of ABC's One Live to Live are still reeling from the news that the producers have decided to eliminate the storyline involving gay couple Kyle Lewis (Brett Claywell) and Oliver Fish (Scott Evans). Last year, the characters participated in daytime's first-ever love scene involving two men -- a development that was lauded by organizations like the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation. Last month, the daytime drama received a GLAAD Media Award two days after the news broke that "Kish" had been cut. Says Jarrett Barrios, GLAAD's President, "While we understand that the close of storylines is a frequent occurrence on daytime dramas,...

Twitterwatch: Tweets From Our Favorite Celebrities, Stalking Cheyenne Jackson Edition
Welcome back to TwitterWatch, our weekly update of tweeted fun!

Ok, so it's not all about stalking Cheyenne Jackson, but he has been particularly easy to keep up with over the last week. He may have learned that wasn't such a good idea.

To which I say "Step off, I was working this corner first." Seriously, I can't even step away for a twink(ie) without somebody getting in my space.

For the record, I don't care what he says, it was about him, because that tweet came long before this one about a set visitor.

He better not go all Hollywood on us and only talk to Entertainment Tonight now that he's with all the fabulous people. Because you know he's going to spend more and more time with them now that his pilot has wrapped, because there's no way it's not getting picked up.

But that tweet just...
