Fans may have seen the last of Jessica Jones' Jeri Hogarth. Carrie-Anne Moss, who portrayed the attorney in four of the six Marvel/Netflix series, recently expressed doubt that she would be brought back for a future Marvel Cinematic Universe project.

During an interview with The Direct to promote her latest movie Die Alone, Moss revealed that she would be willing to play Jeri Hogarth again in the MCU, although she isn't expecting to hear from Marvel Studios anytime soon. "I loved playing her. I really don't pay much attention [to] what's happening with that whole universe. I loved playing her, one of my favorite roles I've ever played. I would, of course, love to play her again, but I don't see that," she admitted, explaining, "I'm pretty intuitive. I don't feel that coming my way. But I don't know." Messiah‘s prayers were not answered: Netflix has cancelled the religion-themed thriller after just one season, according to our sister site Variety.

The news was first reported by series co-star Wil Traval, who announced on Instagram: “It’s a very sad day today. I have just received news from Netflix that there will be no Season 2 of Messiah. I wanted to say to all the fans thank you for your support and love. I wish things were different.”

“I am writing you from my home where I have been social distancing since Mar 18th – when social distancing was instituted in the small community where I am currently living,” Lilly wrote in a post Thursday.

“At the time of my Mar 16th post, the directives from the authorities here were that we not congregate in groups of more than 250ppl and that we wash our hands regularly, which we were doing. “It’s a very sad day today,” wrote actor Wil Traval, who played Will Mathers on the drama series, wrote in an Instagram post Wednesday. “I have just received news from Netflix that there will be no season 2 of #messiah I wanted to say to all the fans thank you for your support and love. I wish things were different.”

Netflix confirmed the cancellation Thursday.

A person with knowledge of the situation told TheWrap that one of the factors that went into the decision was the concern that producing the show in a timely fashion wouldn’t be prudent during the coronavirus pandemic, given its large international cast and overseas filming locations.

As the story unfolds, multiple perspectives are interwoven including that of an Israeli intelligence officer (Tomer Sisley), a Texas preacher (John Ortiz) and his daughter (Stefania Lavie Owen), a Palestinian refugee (Sayyid El Alami) and the journalist (Jane Adams) who covers the story.

Casting on 20th Century Fox’s sequel/franchise reboot X-Men: Dark Phoenix is really beginning to heat up.

Late last week, for instance, the rumor mill was operating at full tilt, claiming that both Angelina Jolie and Jessica Chastain were in contention for the 2018 tentpole. Sources close to the production claim Jolie has now decided to pass on Dark Phoenix, leading Fox to direct their attention toward Jessica Chastain, who is riding high after a magnetic turn in political drama Miss Sloane.

Jessica Jones flipped the superhero genre on its head last year, and the results were unexpectedly awesome. Starring actress Krysten Ritter, this was our first female-led Marvel or DC movie or TV series in recent memory. Perhaps more important, the show dealt with mature topics like rape, Ptsd, addiction, female empowerment, and interracial and lesbian relationships -- bold, thematic steps for a genre too-long stuck in neutral. Fans and critics adored the show, which went on to win several impressive industry accolades, including a Primetime Emmy, Peabody and Hugo awards.

Jessica Jones exposed a distinctly gritty, noir version of the Marvel universe, told from a woman's perspective. Ritter established herself as a smart, capable, and unrelenting anti-hero, whose physical superpowers were actually her least interesting aspect. The show also introduced longtime fan-favorite Luke Cage, whose own series launched late last year to near universal acclaim. One of the key successes...

What did you think of Christopher Chance?

Jim: I really enjoyed him. My only request would have been a little more understanding of how he survived the shooting. I didn't understand exactly how he pulled off the effect of being shot without actually being hurt.

Arrow season five is only five episodes in and already it has forced itself to juggle an awful lot of moving parts. It was doing a relatively good job of balancing the characters fans love with the newbies they’ll soon cosplay, until Human Target.

Things are starting to become crowded in the Green Arrow universe as the cast of Arrow continues to grow. In episode 5 of season, "Human Target," Oliver is forced to locate an old friend and ask for help when one of his own team members is taken and tortured. Chad L. Coleman guest stars as Wil Traval (aka the Human Target). While this is going on, Felicity becomes unnerved when she learns that Detective Malone has joined the Acu.

The CW has released the first official images from this Wednesday’s episode of Arrow, and based on what we see here, this is clearly going to be a pretty huge instalment. The main reason for that is of course the fact that the Human Target (another old friend of Oliver Queen’s) is coming to Star City to help the vigilante/mayor out of another sticky situation.

That’s been caused by the fact Tobias Church has kidnapped Wild Dog and tortured him to find out the Green Arrow’s secret identity. As a result, despite being warned off from targeting the vigilante by Prometheus, the gangster is now going to take aim at the mayor in a bid for revenge.

Tonight’s episode of Arrow revolved around Oliver Queen’s quest to break Diggle out of military prison, but things look set to become even more intense in next week’s instalment as the Emerald Archer finds himself under fire in his day job as mayor after a tortured Wild Dog reveals his secret identity to the villainous Tobias Church. He’s been warned by the mysterious Prometheus to leave the Green Arrow alive, but it looks like taking out the mayor is going to be his way of getting around that.

Who the hitman in the video above is isn’t immediately clear, but it could be the Human Target. The DC Comics character actually starred in his own series a number of years ago (before superhero TV shows took off), but it didn’t last too long. In Arrow, we’ll be seeing a different version played by Jessica Jones‘ Wil Traval.

Does the mayor hire him to fake his assassination and fool Tobias Church or is that someone the villain hired to do the deed? We'll see.

Happy Endings alumna Casey Wilson will guest-star during Season 5 of The Mindy Project as a friend from the titular doc’s past, star/writer Ike Barinholtz told EW.com.

The cast of Marvel's Jessica Jones seem to be infiltrating the DC TV universe one actor at a time. Following the news that Wil Traval has joined The CW's Arrow as Human Target, some new Gotham season 3 set pics reveal that Kieran Mulcare (Ruben) will appear on Fox's Batman origin series. His scenes seem to revolve around Gordon, Bullock and co. investigating a pair of deceased newlyweds, but there's no indication of which character he could be playing. That said, the show's producers recently confirmed that we'd be meeting a forerunner to undead DC villain Solomon Grundy at some point, and Mulcare's appearance (stature aside) is definitely in keeping with Grundy's ghostly grey visage.
