'I'm Pretty Intuitive': Jessica Jones Star Addresses Possible MCU Return
Image
Fans may have seen the last of Jessica Jones' Jeri Hogarth. Carrie-Anne Moss, who portrayed the attorney in four of the six Marvel/Netflix series, recently expressed doubt that she would be brought back for a future Marvel Cinematic Universe project.

During an interview with The Direct to promote her latest movie Die Alone, Moss revealed that she would be willing to play Jeri Hogarth again in the MCU, although she isn't expecting to hear from Marvel Studios anytime soon. "I loved playing her. I really don't pay much attention [to] what's happening with that whole universe. I loved playing her, one of my favorite roles I've ever played. I would, of course, love to play her again, but I don't see that," she admitted, explaining, "I'm pretty intuitive. I don't feel that coming my way. But I don't know." The last time fans saw Moss' Jeri Hogarth was in Jessica Jones...

Rumor: DC Studios Developing A Human Target Project Based On Tom King's Comic Book Run
Image
With James Gunn calling the shots at DC Studios, we're expecting a far greater number of obscure characters from the comics to get their chance to shine in the new Dcu.

That's exciting for fans and if a new rumour shared by FilmFront is anything to go by, a Human Target TV series is also in development.

Comic book writer Tom King (who is working on Lanterns and inspired Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow with his series of the same name) has reportedly been working on the projects since the start of 2024. He'll be Human Target's main writer and the search for a showrunner - and lead star - is said to be underway.

As you might expect, Gunn and Peter Safran will executive produce.

Warner Bros. launched a Human Target TV series in 2010 starring Mark Valley as Christopher Chance. That ran for two seasons - a total of 25 episodes - on Fox,...

Image
Sharon Carter's reveal as the McU's Power Broker could open the door for the return of one villain from Netflix's Jessica Jones. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier brought Sharon Carter back to the MCU after she had been missing since Captain America: Civil War, revealing her to have been living and working in Madripoor as the Power Broker over the duration of the Blip. The ending of the Phase 4 series teased a dark future for Carter in the MCU, as she now has access to high-level secrets, prototype weapons, and advanced technology ready to sell to the highest bidder.

During Phase 4, characters from Marvel Television's Netflix shows started to integrate into the MCU, starting with Matt Murdock, a.k.a. Daredevil, and Wilson Fisk, a.k.a. Kingpin, in Spider-Man: No Way Home and Hawkeye, respectively. While Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio reprised their roles from...

Jessica Jones Actor Wil Traval Shuts Down Rumors Of X-Men: Dark Phoenix Role
Casting on 20th Century Fox’s sequel/franchise reboot X-Men: Dark Phoenix is really beginning to heat up.

Late last week, for instance, the rumor mill was operating at full tilt, claiming that both Angelina Jolie and Jessica Chastain were in contention for the 2018 tentpole. Sources close to the production claim Jolie has now decided to pass on Dark Phoenix, leading Fox to direct their attention toward Jessica Chastain, who is riding high after a magnetic turn in political drama Miss Sloane.

Should that deal place, the Oscar-winner would be starring opposite the familiar faces of Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender and, potentially, James McAvoy, but it seems there’s another casting addition that has snuck under the radar. Until now, at least.

ComicBook.com has uncovered a Tweet from Wil Traval wherein the Jessica Jones actor seemingly claims to have landed a role in X-Men: Dark Phoenix. So far, so good,...

Jessica Jones: Is Nuke The Big Bad of Season 2?
Jessica Jones flipped the superhero genre on its head last year, and the results were unexpectedly awesome. Starring actress Krysten Ritter, this was our first female-led Marvel or DC movie or TV series in recent memory. Perhaps more important, the show dealt with mature topics like rape, Ptsd, addiction, female empowerment, and interracial and lesbian relationships -- bold, thematic steps for a genre too-long stuck in neutral. Fans and critics adored the show, which went on to win several impressive industry accolades, including a Primetime Emmy, Peabody and Hugo awards.

Jessica Jones exposed a distinctly gritty, noir version of the Marvel universe, told from a woman's perspective. Ritter established herself as a smart, capable, and unrelenting anti-hero, whose physical superpowers were actually her least interesting aspect. The show also introduced longtime fan-favorite Luke Cage, whose own series launched late last year to near universal acclaim. One of the key successes...

Golden Globe Winner Janet McTeer Joins Jessica Jones Season 2 In Mystery Role
Such is the blistering pace of Marvel’s creative output that just as one project begins to wind down (see: The Defenders), another prepares to step in front of the cameras.

We are, of course, referring to Jessica Jones, the Krysten Ritter-led solo series that’s currently gearing up for its sophomore season. Details are scarce regarding the show’s return, but Entertainment Weekly brings word of the first major casting addition: Janet McTeer. The two-time Oscar nominee and Golden Globe winner has signed on to play an “undisclosed character” opposite Ritter, one who will purportedly have “an enormous impact on Jessica’s life.” Cue the speculation.

Melissa Rosenberg, who returns at the helm for Jessica Jones season 2, welcomed the addition of McTeer with open arms, stating: “We couldn’t possibly be more excited to work with Ms. McTeer for our second season. Her gravitas and authenticity are the...

Arrow Round Table: Will Olicity Get Back Together?
Arrow is getting better.

That much was confirmed during Arrow Season 5 Episode 5 when the show took some great risks that raised the stakes.

Below, TV Fanatics Jim Garner, Steve Ford and Robin Harry discuss Christopher Chance, Tobias being murdered and that Olicity scene...

What did you think of Christopher Chance?

Jim: I really enjoyed him. My only request would have been a little more understanding of how he survived the shooting. I didn't understand exactly how he pulled off the effect of being shot without actually being hurt.

Steve: I was actually quite interested in this character and I hope to see and learn more about him in the future. I'm with Jim what I would have liked to understand how he was able to pull off the fake assassination. Is he a meta that can heal or was it more complex than that?

Robin: I liked him, though I...

5.5 Human Target

Arrow season five is only five episodes in and already it has forced itself to juggle an awful lot of moving parts. It was doing a relatively good job of balancing the characters fans love with the newbies they’ll soon cosplay, until Human Target.

Finding out that this episode was a bit of a letdown is probably extra disappointing to fans of the cult character Human Target. Although he’s plucked directly from the pages of DC Comics, he’s...

The Human Target Arrives In New Images From This Week’s Episode Of Arrow
See Full Gallery Here

The CW has released the first official images from this Wednesday’s episode of Arrow, and based on what we see here, this is clearly going to be a pretty huge instalment. The main reason for that is of course the fact that the Human Target (another old friend of Oliver Queen’s) is coming to Star City to help the vigilante/mayor out of another sticky situation.

That’s been caused by the fact Tobias Church has kidnapped Wild Dog and tortured him to find out the Green Arrow’s secret identity. As a result, despite being warned off from targeting the vigilante by Prometheus, the gangster is now going to take aim at the mayor in a bid for revenge.

For more on what to expect from this episode of Arrow – titled “Human Target” – here’s the official synopsis:

First Look Promo For Arrow Season 5, Episode 5 “Human Target”
Tonight’s episode of Arrow revolved around Oliver Queen’s quest to break Diggle out of military prison, but things look set to become even more intense in next week’s instalment as the Emerald Archer finds himself under fire in his day job as mayor after a tortured Wild Dog reveals his secret identity to the villainous Tobias Church. He’s been warned by the mysterious Prometheus to leave the Green Arrow alive, but it looks like taking out the mayor is going to be his way of getting around that.

Who the hitman in the video above is isn’t immediately clear, but it could be the Human Target. The DC Comics character actually starred in his own series a number of years ago (before superhero TV shows took off), but it didn’t last too long. In Arrow, we’ll be seeing a different version played by Jessica Jones‘ Wil Traval.

A Familiar Face Arrives In Star CIty In Arrow Season 5, Episode 5 Promo; "Human Target"
The CW has released the first promo forthe fifth episode of Arrow's fifth season, and in it we get what may or may not be our first look at the Human Target rocking a pretty cool costume. If that name's familiar, it's because the character starred in a short-lived TV series a number of years ago, but this is going to be a different version played by Jessica Jones villain Wil Traval when he appears in Star City. A professional bodyguard and master of disguise who assumes the identities of those targeted by assassins, the character (a.k.a. Christopher Chance) will be an ally to Oliver Queen here, but it's what brings him to this neck of the woods which is really interesting. Does the mayor hire him to fake his assassination and fool Tobias Church or is that someone the villain hired to do the deed? We'll see.

Could This Be Our First Look At Proto-Solomon Grundy On The Set Of Gotham Season 3?
The cast of Marvel's Jessica Jones seem to be infiltrating the DC TV universe one actor at a time. Following the news that Wil Traval has joined The CW's Arrow as Human Target, some new Gotham season 3 set pics reveal that Kieran Mulcare (Ruben) will appear on Fox's Batman origin series. His scenes seem to revolve around Gordon, Bullock and co. investigating a pair of deceased newlyweds, but there's no indication of which character he could be playing. That said, the show's producers recently confirmed that we'd be meeting a forerunner to undead DC villain Solomon Grundy at some point, and Mulcare's appearance (stature aside) is definitely in keeping with Grundy's ghostly grey visage. You can see the rest of the pics Here. Gotham returns for its third season September 19 on Fox. You can check out the Sdcc trailer right Here.
