    Blue-eyed American vocalist (with Paul Whiteman and Johnny Messner), much heard on radio during the 1940s and 50s. She had her own variety show on the CBS Network in 1949. That same year, she became the youngest performer to receive top billing at New York City's Copacabana nightclub and also signed a recording contract with RCA Victor. In 1952, she launched the Mindy Carson Show, sponsored by Embassy cigarettes.
