Paramount+ has announced that the second season of Dora, the original animated preschool series, will premiere on Friday, Sept. 13, exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S., Canada, Germany, Switzerland, and Austria, with other international markets to be announced at a later date.
Produced by Nickelodeon Animation, the second season features 26 CG-animated 11-minute episodes and follows everyone’s favorite bilingual explorer, Dora, as she continues her epic adventures through the mystical and magical rainforest.
Additionally, Dora will make its linear debut Monday, Sept. 16, premiering Monday through Thursday for three consecutive weeks at 11 a.m. (Et/Pt) on Nickelodeon and 5 p.m. (Et/Pt) on the Nick Jr. channel. All 26 episodes of the first season are also available to stream exclusively on Paramount+.

Dora the Explorer is back in a newly released trailer for Paramount+’s upcoming preschool series, dubbed just Dora.
Premiering with all 26 CG-animated, 11-minute episodes on Friday, April 12, the update “follows everyone’s favorite bilingual explorer, Dora (Diana Zermeño), and her best monkey friend, Boots (Asher Colton Spence), as they embark on epic adventures in a fantastical rainforest,” reads the official synopsis. “Guided by trustworthy Map (Anairis Quiñones), Dora and her friends must work together to overcome many obstacles while being challenged by the sneakiest fox, Swiper (Marc Weiner).”

Dora the Explorer has gotten a computer-animated update in a trailer for the iconic character's new streaming show. The franchise originated with the animated show of the same name, which aired on Nickelodeon between 2000 and 2014 and followed a young Latina girl on adventures where she directly addressed the camera and helped the viewer learn Spanish while avoiding certain doom. The franchise has since expanded to include an animated spinoff and sequel, as well as the live-action adventure comedy movie Dora and the Lost City of Gold, starring Isabela Moner as a teenage Dora.

Signalling Mexican giant exhibitor-distributor Cinépolis’ gradual return to producing since the pandemic, the company has partnered once more with producer Javier González-Rubio of Invicta Films, here on film critic Hugo Lara’s second feature, “Serendipia” (“Serendipity”).
“We are excited to be embarking on this new journey with Invicta Films and strengthening our partnership. ‘Serendipia’ is a captivating story that will touch the hearts of audiences around the world and with it, Cinépolis proves once again our commitment to Mexican cinema,” said executive producer Miguel Rivera, VP global programming and content, Cinépolis.
