Fans of the 2000 Malayalam comedy film ThenkasiPattanam have a reason to rejoice as the lead actor Dileep and the director Rafi have confirmed that a sequel is in the works. In an interview with Cans, the duo revealed that they are planning to make Thenkasi Pattanam 2 with the same cast and crew as the original film.

ThenkasiPattanam, which was written and directed by Rafi Mecartin and produced by Lal, was a blockbuster hit that starred Suresh Gopi, Lal, Dileep, Samyuktha Varma, Geethu Mohandas, and Kavya Madhavan in the lead roles.
