The latest trailer shows the two police partners meeting with a therapist, played by Quinta Brunson. It’s not exactly romantic therapy, though. Expanding Los Angeles-based distributor Safier Entertainment has acquired worldwide rights to the comedic holiday feature “Christmas Vs. the Walters” out of the Cannes Film Market.

The ensemble film is led by Oscar nominee Bruce Dern, “30 Rock” regular and “Oz” actor Dean Winters, “Saw” franchise star Shawnee Smith and Emmy-winning “Schitt’s Creek” star Chris Elliott.

This year's Zootopia was quite the pleasant surprise. Yes, in the past eight years or so, with the involvement of John Lasseter, Disney has been upping their animated game tremendously. From films like Bolt and The Princess And The Frog to Wreck-it Ralph and Tangled, they've certainly managed to make an amazing comeback. With that in mind, I went into Zootopia with a certain expectation of quality: I expected great characters, a tight script, some funny jokes, a decent amount of heart, and beautiful animation.

The movie more than delivered on those expectations without breaking a sweat. But what I did not expect was for Zootopia to be a well-told social commentary that brings awareness to racial stereotyping. From the get-go, that's what the movie set itself up as, and as I got deeper and deeper into the runtime, it became all the more clear that this was a bona fide classic.

In a report by Forbes, the outlet reveals that Howard and Moore’s adventure is now second only to James Cameron’s Avatar in Hollywood’s ranking of highest-grossing original movies; that is, feature films “not based on a television show, a comic book, a novel, or a stage play.”

This, coupled with the barnstorming success of Captain America: Civil War has ensured Disney’s box office haul for the year is nearing $4 billion in total.

Disney's Zootopia has become a box office sensation, taking in over $318 million domestically and $910.2 million worldwide since its release in early March. In case you didn't get a chance to see it in theaters, or just want to relive this animated comedy over and over again, Disney has announced that this blockbuster will be released on Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD formats June 7. The animated comedy faced Paramount's low-budget thriller 10 Cloverfield Lane, Sony's R-rated comedy The Brothers Grimsby, Focus Features' historical drama The Young Messiah and Lionsgate's The Perfect Match, none of which were expected to take down Zootopia. Box Office Mojo reports that Zootopia did in fact come out on top for the second weekend in a row, earning a healthy $50 million.

Zootopia only dropped an impressive 33.4% in its second weekend, with its current domestic tally at $142.6 million and an international total of $288.7 million for a global take of $431.3 million. The movie is a huge hit with critics, scoring a 99% "Fresh" rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and Zootopia should do well with repeat viewing. Zootopia earned a healthy $13,065 per-screen average, with the movie playing in 3,827 theaters.

One of the most interesting things about Walt Disney Feature Animation is the way it has evolved over the course of its history from Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs to today. There are such distinct eras in its development, such major shifts in creative energy, such giant peaks and valleys, that even the worst moments in its history are worth study for animation fans. I wish Disney would embrace their entire history and not just their hits, because there is so much to learn from films like Song Of The South or The Black Cauldron. Right now, though, they have hit a stride that is admirable, and Zootopia is another triumph for the current version of the studio following films like Tangled, Wreck-It Ralph, Frozen, and Big Hero 6. First and foremost, Zootopia is a reminder of just how beautiful animated films can be. Holy cow, this thing is almost hallucinatory.
