Firstly, I am not a ‘found footage’ genre liker as many think the audience is stupid. The V/H/S anthology series beginning in 2012 was it for me that seeing Followers (2021) was a different experience. Writer-Director Marcus Harben brings the story of a discredited social media influencer named Jonty (Harry Jarvis) who moves into a new house after starting university. When he and his housemates learn their new home is haunted, they use the events to restart Jonty’s fading fame with deadly consequences.

Burr has joined the cast of the U.K. found-footage horror film Cassette, per ScreenDaily. Principal photography for the film, which is being produced by Parkhouse Pictures (Anna And The Apocalypse) and directed by newcomer Marcus Harben, kicks off this week in London. The independently-funded project will follow four students who move into a haunted apartment and find a cassette tape revealing the secrets behind the death of the previous tenant.

Marcus Harben to make feature debut on found-footage horror.

YouTube star and actress Tanya Burr, whose UK-based lifestyle channel has 3.6m subscribers, has joined the cast of Parkhouse Pictures’ found-footage horror project Cassette.

Principal photography begins this week in London on the privately-funded project about four students who move into their first flat together and discover it already has a ghostly tenant called Dawn. When the group find an old cassette that reveals the secrets behind Dawn’s death, they awaken a deadlier evil.
