Jamie Henkin

Jamie Henkin, originally from Chicago, moved to sunny San Diego as a young child. In the 8th grade, her mother enrolled her in Jr. Theater where she was bitten by the acting bug and never looked back! Since then, she has graduated from such roles as Scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz to telling stories of women who are quick witted and genuine, yet will stop at nothing to conquer everything. She is most proud of her performances in Instant Justice and Phase. Both won best picture awards at the San Diego 'Her' Film Festival and the Oceanside Film Festival respectively.
Jamie is currently in pre-production for a new series, Solanna, a love story between a girl and the horse she rescues, produced by the Lifetime Network. Always in class working on her skills, she has studied with Anthony Meindl, Terry Berland, and Judy Kain just to name a few.
Some fun facts about Jamie...she's a lover of deep dish pizza, yet she's never attended a Cubs game. She is obsessed with Rottweilers and is currently mom to Midway, a feisty young pup. She has a degree in Baking & Pastry and makes a mean cheesecake. Desserts, though, are totally at odds with her bodybuilding, having competed in 3 bikini shows. Jamie is eternally grateful for her parents, who have been by her side every step of the way.
