Leading producer Martin Moszkowicz, who recently moved away from his role as CEO of German giant Constantin to focus on producing, was honored with the Carl Laemmle Producer Award in Laupheim for his multifaceted and extensive work as a filmmaker and producer. The veteran producer and exec has been behind major projects such as Monster Hunter, Fack Ju Goëth 1-3, Resident Evil and more recently, the Nibelungen adaptation of Hagen and Those About To Die.

Laemmle is a German producer of Jewish origin, who emigrated to the U.S. in 1886 and founded Universal Pictures in 1912 and became famous as a great cinematic visionary and one of the founding fathers of Hollywood.

Ocean, Life, Water: The 9th Green Me Global Festival for Sustainability is rolling out the red green carpet in Los Angeles, CA October 17th to 23 at the Landmark Regent Theater in Westwood.

An expert jury under the patronage of Ralf Möller will award the greenest movies around the topic Ocean/Life/Water.- More than 20 Films will be screened, 10 green presentations, 5 panel discussions, a Film Workshop for Film Schools and an Award Gala will shine in a green light.

An impressive number of films have been submitted for the Green Me Award 2016.

Under the patronage of Dr. Auma Obama, President Barack Obama’s half-sister, and in cooperation with the actor Ralf Möller, a selected expert jury will award the greenest movies 2016.

The Berlin International Film Festival is celebrating its opening today, on February 7, 2013 at 7.30 pm. After a few words of greeting from Minister of State for Cultural and Media Affairs Bernd Neumann and Governing Mayor of Berlin Klaus Wowereit, the Festival will be officially opened by Jury President Wong Kar Wai (Hong Kong, China) and Berlinale Director Dieter Kosslick. In 1977, Wim Wenders proclaimed: "Never before and in no other country have images and language been abused so unscrupulously as here [in Germany]. Nowhere else have people suffered such a loss of confidence in images of their own, their own stories and myths as we have." The film producer Bernd Eichinger, who has died of a heart attack aged 61, went further than most to bring back that confidence to German cinema.
