Biography

    • Monique hales from a colorful New Orleans background. Born in Jackson Ms., raised in New Orleans by her psychiatrist father and a mother who was an actress; who happens to speak six different languages and who socialized with the likes of Tennessee Williams and Clay Shaw. Monique's grandfather Sir Victor Borg knighted by the King Olav IV of Norway, and maternal grandmother is Ingeborg Cook a very celebrated coloratura soprano; whom Monique inherited her dramatic coloratura vocal ability.

She is the sixth great-granddaughter of Captain James Cook. Monique attended LSU where she studied pre-law business and majored in psychology. Her love of acting brought her to New York to study with the renowned Bill Alderson at The Neighborhood Playhouse. Her New York experience spanned over four years where she worked and held a recurring role on As The World Turns.

Monique made a move to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the Entertainment Industry. Shortly after arriving in LA, she found herself quickly in negotiations with the daytime soap opera General Hospital for a contract role. At that time, she was represented by Hal Gefsky at APA (Hal was Sharon Tate's only agent). She then went on to be represented by The William Morris Agency and The Brokaw Company.

After a time, Monique decided to go behind the camera and took a position at Showtime Networks where quickly promoted to assistant marketing coordinator in charge of 130 cable affiliates across the United States. Soon after, she was applying her gift with an on-target placement of people in media events and television shows including The Oprah Winfrey Show for a nationwide company. Her work caught the attention of The Los Angeles Times where she was featured.

During this time Monique was hired by Scott Zakarin to play the role of Joanne on the first ever Interactive Soap Opera titled The Spot. She also starred in numerous independent films.

Monique's nationwide accomplishments soon caught the eye of MacLaine Enterprises, where hired as a key liaison for Shirley MacLaine and her agent and publicist. After a one-year stint, Monique accepted a position with Film and TV Director Mark Travis. It was Travis who said, "Monique you have an amazing gift and ability to 'see' and zero in on people and their businesses; and you have to take it to the next level." Monique Guild: Business Intuitive was born.

She has appeared on numerous radio and cable TV shows nationwide such as The Aware Show, with Lisa Garr, Innervisions with Dr. Nita Vallens and Roy of Hollywood among others. The response from these shows was incredible. Business executives from diplomats to foreign leaders to everyday business people began calling Monique asking her to help them and quickly learned that she could walk into any business around the globe and uncover what is blocking success. Her workshops began selling out, and she was being asked to give seminars to companies across the world.

With Monique's uncanny ability to embody any role as an actress, in particular, strong southern women, and her achievements in the Entertainment Industry, she married the two and started her own film production company. Her first project is a documentary that she directed, filmed, produced, and directed (while traveling with her two dogs) across the nation titled "6, 150."

While filming she caught the attention of media across the nation including NBC News.

Recently, the satellite office of the Wall Street Journal in Norway featured Monique.

Monique is authoring a book, selling her TV show, and portraying fantastic woman on television and film.
