The Voice of Bart Simpson Says She Basically ‘Burps and Farts’ for a Living
Image
It turns out that voicing Bart Simpson is more than just yelling “¡Ay, caramba!” “eat my shorts!” and “I’m Bart Simpson, who the hell are you?” into a microphone: There’s a whole lot of flatulence, too, according to voice actress Nancy Cartwright.

The comedy staple, who has offered her vocal chops to The Simpsons’ eldest since the animated family’s Tracey Ullman days, recently dropped by “Dog Whisperer” Cesar Millan’s new YouTube series where she got candid about the guts — and gas — it takes to bring Bart to life.

“What do I do for a living? I’ll put it in three words,” Cartwright told Milan in her signature Bart voice. “I burp and fart for a living.” Far surpassing her self-imposed three-word limit, Cartwright still managed to stand by such scatalogical work. “It’s a nice gig,” she continued, reverting to her normal tone as Millan giggled by her side.

Why Kristen Stewart's Living For The Dead Season 2 Deserved To Happen
Image
Kristen Stewart's Living for the Dead was a fun spin on the ghost-hunting reality show formula, and it deserved to be renewed for season 2. Ghost-hunting paranormal TV shows have always been popular reality fare, a combination of horror and the intimate style of reality TV programming. Living for the Dead is another of these ghost hunter shows, but with a spin, in part, thanks to Rob Eric attached as an executive producer, who was also an E.P. on Queer Eye. The entire cast is composed of queer ghost hunters and their investigative methods are slightly different from other teams.

The series was created by C.J. Romero and Kristen Stewart, and Stewart also serves as the show's narrator. While Stewart is best known for her acting work, she's dipped her toes into directing and producing. Living for the Dead premiered on October 18, 2024, and lasted for one season. However, the...

Disney+ Pulled 25 Shows and Isn't Too Concerned About Fan Disappointment
Image
Titles like ‘A Small Light’ and ‘Togo’ have been removed from Disney+ even as the streamer prepares to hike its subscription rates.

Disney+ is apparently feeling pretty confident about its ability to shrug off the ire of customers, these days. The service has enacted a new round of title removals, pulling more than 20 shows and movies from its catalog in its latest efforts to streamline. The removals themselves aren’t all that rare, but the response from Disney when asked about the pulled titles reveals a company that has no qualms about facing backlash from customers, despite the public relations year it’s had.

Key Details: Titles removed from Disney+ include “Hailey’s On It,” “Love & WWE: Bianca & Montez,” and more. Disney defended the decision to remove the titles, saying they represented less than 2% of its catalog. Disney+ plans are increasing in price starting Oct. 17. Sign Up Now $7.99+ / month disneyplus.

The Penguin Season 1 Episode 2 Review: Inside Man
Image
Oz might want to rethink his “it’s a helluva lot more fun to dance” line he tossed at Sofia Falcone on The Penguin Season 1 Episode 2 because the dance will only get more twisted.

As we’ve seen numerous times, every step forward drags him two steps back, leaving him tangled in the mess he’s created.

At this point, Oz can’t see the forest for the trees — even though he thinks he does.

(Photograph by Macall Polay/HBO)

He’s not just in a dangerous dance with Sofia Falcone and the Maronis; he’s also completely blind to the ticking time bomb that is Vic.

Can’t See the Forest For the Trees

Desperate for someone he can trust, Oz sees Vic as a younger version of himself. But the more he pulls Vic into his world, the worse it’s going to get.

Let’s play a game.

How many ways did From make you cry this week? My answer is five. Tell me yours so we can cry together.

Unfortunately, this game has no winner, but we’ll at least have each other.

(Courtesy of MGM+)

From has a lot of strengths, from its outstanding cast to the cinematography to the compelling storytelling. And they have the ability to legitimately scare you one second and leave you in a puddle of tears the next.

This series has always been so much more than a horror series, and hours like this, which explore the psychological and emotionally exhausting aspects of the townspeople, are consistently among the best.

Sometimes, you watch television to escape. To mindlessly laugh and get lost in the make-believe so you can forget about that upcoming deadline you’re stressed about or something you need but can’t afford.
