Salemmites will be celebrating July 4th, 2025 in style on Days of our Lives again this year. They have for decades on the NBC Peacock series with some years being really, really spectacular with some big moments that are absolutely unforgettable.

And many longtime watchers may recall just how significant the Fourth of July used to be for both the good and not so good people of Salem. In recent years, it hasn’t always been such a big deal, but in history on days huge.

Days of our Lives alum Shawn Christian has been one hot topic lately after he married his long-time love, Arianne Zucker (Nicole).

The happy couple have been dating for years, getting engaged in 2021.

It was one of those films that you could not help but tell your friends about, mostly because you could not stop quoting it. When the second film came out, fans were not too excited because Carrey and Daniels had no part in it.

Dumb and Dumber To made Netflix's Top 10, 10 years after its release. Critics and audiences disliked the sequel for its lack of humor. Despite the negativity, the movie was a box-office success, but a third installment may not be necessary.

Jim Carrey's critically panned comedy sequel, Dumb and Dumber To, enters Netflix's Top 10 Chart in the United States 10 years later. Written and directed once again by the Farrelly brothers, the sequel to Dumb and Dumber sees Carrey and Jeff Daniels reprising their roles as Lloyd Christmas and Harry Dunne 20 years after the events of the first film, as the two dimwitted adults set out on another cross-country road trip, this time to find Harry's adopted daughter. The cast also includes Rob Riggle in a dual role as twin brothers, Laurie Holden, Rachel Melvin, and Kathleen Turner.

Now, 10 years after its release, Carrey's critically panned comedy sequel has entered Netflix's Top 10 chart stateside.

Dumb and Dumber To is back on Netflix's Top 3, driven by nostalgia and Jim Carrey's popularity. The sequel, originally criticized on its theatrical release, stars a comedic duo on a road trip adventure, receiving mixed reviews. Carrey and Daniels' 20-year reunion was praised, making the film a moderate box office success.

Dumb and Dumber To has made a surprising leap into the Netflix Top 3. The 10-year-old movie starring Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels was a belated sequel to the 1994 Farrelly brothers comedy Dumb and Dumber, but the two-decade hiatus did not make fans crave the over-the-top antics of Lloyd Christmas (Carrey) and Harry Dunne (Daniels) a second time around. Momentum Pictures has released the first poster for the upcoming dark comedy Mom and Dad, which comes just a few weeks after the crazy trailer was unleashed late last month. In case you missed it, we have the first footage below, along with this one-sheet revealing some of the most intense scenes from this twisted thriller that presents a frightening scenario for any parent and child. This pitch-black horror-comedy is set during a worldwide mass hysteria where, for 24 brutal hours, parents turn violently against their own children.

MarVista Entertainment has revealed an official trailer for an indie thriller titled Sleepwalker, described as a "Twilight Zone-esque" story about a woman troubled by bouts of sleepwalking and disturbing nightmares. Recently, Fox released the new,official synopsis/spoilers for their upcoming "Bones" episode 8 of season 11. The episode is entitled, "High Treason in the Holiday Season," and it turns out that we're going to see some pretty interesting stuff go down as the homicide of a high-powered attorney becomes the main focus of the Jeffersonian team, and more. It’s so hard to tell nowadays what kind of film you are going to get by just looking at the solitary picture and the synopsis. I seldom ever rely on the number of stars that it has, because someone else’s trash just might be my treasure. Back in the video store days, there were absolutely no guarantees even by looking at the videocassette box, but I guess that I just had a false sense of security that I could make a more informed choice. I’m slowly letting go, and just going with straight up intuition.

This week, we’ve got an insane amount of horror and sci-fi home entertainment choices getting released on Tuesday, including the latest from Scream Factory, Stigmata, and Kino Lorber is bringing us another Mario Bava cult classic to high-def in the form of Evil Ey,e and the recent horror comedy Zombeavers is looking to make a splash on DVD as well.

Anchor Bay is also unleashing The Vatican Exorcisms on May 19th and Olive Films is bringing a double dose of classic terror to Blu-ray with their releases of Peter Benchley’s Creature and It! The Terror from Outer Space. Indie horror fans have a ton of titles this week arriving on DVD to choose from and we’ve also got new high-def releases for both Poltergeist sequels and Terminator 2: Judgment Day too.

★★☆☆☆ Twenty years after the release of Dumb and Dumber (1994) Harry (Jeff Daniels) and Lloyd (Jim Carrey) return with another dose of malodorous humour in Dumb and Dumber To (2014). Lloyd has been in a fallow state for two decades but now he's back and itching to go on another road trip with Harry whose just discovered he has a long-lost daughter with the one time love of his life, Fraida Felcher (Kathleen Turner). The pair sets off to find Penny (Rachel Melvin) just as she heads off to a big science symposium to give an important speech on behalf of her adoptive father Dr. Pinchelow (Steve Tom). Two ineffectual and methane-loving knights in shining armour, the pair follow Penny to the symposium.

To prematurely write off Zombeavers would be an easy task based on the numerous trailers featuring zombified beaver puppets who growl angrily at the camera, as the footage suggests a watch that takes B-Movie stupidity to realms yet unexplored. Who needs a bunch of undead beavers thwapping their tails against the ground while they’re trying to gnaw through a group of drunken fratheads and their sorority babes? Pointless nudity, radiated beaver dams, filthy double entendres, goofy creature work – do horror fans really need to be subjected to such an untamed zombie/animal hybrid?!

Either I have entirely too much time on my hands (I don’t), I’m a self-admitted masochist (getting warmer), or Dumb And Dumber To is so horrendously brain-numbing that I couldn’t let a Blu-Ray review opportunity pass me by. My colleague Robert Kojder already wrote a forgiving theatrical review of the appalling comedic atrocity that is Dumb And Dumber To, but I don’t agree that the Farrelly brothers do their most famous property right by way of a repetitive, self-referential sequel. Perhaps it's no surprise that this should be the dumbest comedy to come out of Hollywood in years. That's the point, you might say. But there's dumb, and then there is depressingly dumb. Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels were loveable idiots when they first played Lloyd and Harry in 1994, but now they're older, none the wiser and needlessly abrasive, which takes the fun out of their stupid antics.

It's as if the Farrelly brothers are overcompensating; sharpening the daggers just a tad too vigorously to reclaim their place on the cutting edge of comedy, and yet this still feels dated two decades after the first Dumb and Dumber had audiences doubled over - not sure whether to...

Universal Pictures released their new comedy flick, "Dumb And Dumber To" into theaters this weekend. I just watched it, and thought it was ok with a few good laughs here and there.
