Quick Links Mama June's Cameo was Controversial at the Time Animal Cruelty Is Never Funny Many Jokes are Cruel and Tasteless Sequel to Dumb and Dumber fails due to outdated jokes and lack of original cast, disappointing fans old and new. Cameo of Mama June adds nothing to Dumb and Dumber To, incomprehensible choice by directors, missed the mark. Animal cruelty in Dumb and Dumber To escalates, crossing boundary from humor to distasteful and offensive, not funny.
Dumb and Dumber will forever remain a classic to many millennials due to the hilarious antics and crazy one-liners from Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels' harmless characters, Lloyd Christmas and Harry Dunne. It was one of those films that you could not help but tell your friends about, mostly because you could not stop quoting it. When the second film came out, fans were not too excited because Carrey and Daniels had no part in it.

Dumb and Dumber To made Netflix's Top 10, 10 years after its release. Critics and audiences disliked the sequel for its lack of humor. Despite the negativity, the movie was a box-office success, but a third installment may not be necessary.
Jim Carrey's critically panned comedy sequel, Dumb and Dumber To, enters Netflix's Top 10 Chart in the United States 10 years later. Written and directed once again by the Farrelly brothers, the sequel to Dumb and Dumber sees Carrey and Jeff Daniels reprising their roles as Lloyd Christmas and Harry Dunne 20 years after the events of the first film, as the two dimwitted adults set out on another cross-country road trip, this time to find Harry's adopted daughter. The cast also includes Rob Riggle in a dual role as twin brothers, Laurie Holden, Rachel Melvin, and Kathleen Turner.
Now, 10 years after its release, Carrey's critically panned comedy sequel has entered Netflix's Top 10 chart stateside.

Dumb and Dumber To is back on Netflix's Top 3, driven by nostalgia and Jim Carrey's popularity. The sequel, originally criticized on its theatrical release, stars a comedic duo on a road trip adventure, receiving mixed reviews. Carrey and Daniels' 20-year reunion was praised, making the film a moderate box office success.
Dumb and Dumber To has made a surprising leap into the Netflix Top 3. The 10-year-old movie starring Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels was a belated sequel to the 1994 Farrelly brothers comedy Dumb and Dumber, but the two-decade hiatus did not make fans crave the over-the-top antics of Lloyd Christmas (Carrey) and Harry Dunne (Daniels) a second time around. However, like so many older movies, the film is finding a new lease of life on the streaming platform.
Dumb and Dumber To begins with Lloyd having spent 20 years in a psychiatric hospital following his romantic rejection by his would-be girlfriend Mary.

"What if you woke up in another world." Yeah, what if?! MarVista Entertainment has revealed an official trailer for an indie thriller titled Sleepwalker, described as a "Twilight Zone-esque" story about a woman troubled by bouts of sleepwalking and disturbing nightmares. Ahna O'Reilly stars as Sarah, a graduate student, who wakes up in a slightly different version of her world every time she sleepwalks. With the help of sleep researcher Scott White, she tries to work her way back to the reality she started in. The cast includes Richard Armitage (from The Hobbit!), Haley Joel Osment (from A.I.!), Izabella Scorupco, Kevin Zegers, and Rachel Melvin. This doesn't look that great, especially with that Flatliners remake this year. Even though he's been relegated to the fringes, Jake enjoys what he does since he's had a lifelong fascination with unexplained phenomena and weird fringe…...

Zombeavers (2014)
Written by: Al Kaplan, Jon Kaplan, Jordan Rubin
Directed by: Jordan Rubin
Cast: Rachel Melvin (Mary), Cortney Palm (Zoe), Lexi Atkins (Jenn), Hutch Dano (Sam), Jake Weary (Tommy), Peter Gilroy (Buck), Rex Linn (Smyth), Brent Briscoe (Winston), Phyllis Katz (Myrne), Bill Burr (Joseph), John Mayer (Luke), Robert R. Shafer (Trucker)
It’s so hard to tell nowadays what kind of film you are going to get by just looking at the solitary picture and the synopsis. I seldom ever rely on the number of stars that it has, because someone else’s trash just might be my treasure. Back in the video store days, there were absolutely no guarantees even by looking at the videocassette box, but I guess that I just had a false sense of security that I could make a more informed choice. I’m slowly letting go, and just going with straight up intuition.

Zombeavers (2014) Director: Jordan Rubin Stars: Rachel Melvin, Cortney Palm, John Mayer A canister of bio-hazardous waste falls in to a beaver lodge, resulting in angry, unkillable, oversized rodents. Coincidentally, this happens around the same time a group of horny teenagers arrive at a nearby cabin. Huh... It would be easy to screw up a movie called Zombeavers. Experience dictates the most likely course of action would be to turn it in to another SyFy Channel...

★★☆☆☆ Twenty years after the release of Dumb and Dumber (1994) Harry (Jeff Daniels) and Lloyd (Jim Carrey) return with another dose of malodorous humour in Dumb and Dumber To (2014). Lloyd has been in a fallow state for two decades but now he's back and itching to go on another road trip with Harry whose just discovered he has a long-lost daughter with the one time love of his life, Fraida Felcher (Kathleen Turner). The pair sets off to find Penny (Rachel Melvin) just as she heads off to a big science symposium to give an important speech on behalf of her adoptive father Dr. Pinchelow (Steve Tom). Two ineffectual and methane-loving knights in shining armour, the pair follow Penny to the symposium.

Editor’s note: Our review of Zombeavers originally ran during last year’s Fantasia Film Festival, but we’re re-posting it as the film has finally opened on VOD and in limited theatrical release. Let’s just get this out of the way right up front. Yes, Zombeavers is about zombie-beavers. No, they don’t look even the slightest bit realistic. Yes, you’re still going to love this movie anyway. Three sorority sisters head to a remote cabin by a lake for a girls weekend away from the boys. The trip was motivated by the recent revelation that Jenn’s (Lexi Atkins) boyfriend cheated on her with an unknown skank leading Mary (Rachel Melvin) to organize the weekend to help her friend heal. Zoe (Cortney Palm) is just along for the ride and the possibility of a full-body tan. Their plans are interrupted by two types of mammals. First, their...

To prematurely write off Zombeavers would be an easy task based on the numerous trailers featuring zombified beaver puppets who growl angrily at the camera, as the footage suggests a watch that takes B-Movie stupidity to realms yet unexplored. Who needs a bunch of undead beavers thwapping their tails against the ground while they’re trying to gnaw through a group of drunken fratheads and their sorority babes? Pointless nudity, radiated beaver dams, filthy double entendres, goofy creature work – do horror fans really need to be subjected to such an untamed zombie/animal hybrid?!
Yeah – you’re f#cking right they do!
The same could have been said for movies like Gremlins, Child’s Play, or any other heavily puppeteered genre exploration that requires heavy special effects techniques and loads of imagination. Sure, we already know how those two famous examples turned out. Gremlins is a classic monster mash for...

Either I have entirely too much time on my hands (I don’t), I’m a self-admitted masochist (getting warmer), or Dumb And Dumber To is so horrendously brain-numbing that I couldn’t let a Blu-Ray review opportunity pass me by. My colleague Robert Kojder already wrote a forgiving theatrical review of the appalling comedic atrocity that is Dumb And Dumber To, but I don’t agree that the Farrelly brothers do their most famous property right by way of a repetitive, self-referential sequel. Opinions make the world go ’round, but this is one time I had to make my side heard.
While I can’t exactly call Dumb And Dumber To the Mortdecai of 2014 (because I genuinely laughed, albeit three whole times), this soulless husk of a comedic effort reeks of cash-grab incentives around every previously-explored turn. There are moments where we pity Jim Carrey and *Emmy Winner* Jeff Daniels,...

The comedy landscape may have monumentally shifted in the time since the original Dumb & Dumber but great comedy never ages. 1994’s Dumb & Dumber is a genuinely funny film, on a re-watch last month I still laughed loudly at a great many lines and visual gags (personal favourite? “I’m talking about a place called Aspen” “I don’t know Lloyd, the French are assholes”), and the central performances from Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels manage to hit the line between charming and annoying exactly right. All this brings us to Dumb and Dumber To which finds the principal filmmakers in very different positions, Jim Carrey in need of a hit,...

Perhaps it's no surprise that this should be the dumbest comedy to come out of Hollywood in years. That's the point, you might say. But there's dumb, and then there is depressingly dumb. Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels were loveable idiots when they first played Lloyd and Harry in 1994, but now they're older, none the wiser and needlessly abrasive, which takes the fun out of their stupid antics.
It's as if the Farrelly brothers are overcompensating; sharpening the daggers just a tad too vigorously to reclaim their place on the cutting edge of comedy, and yet this still feels dated two decades after the first Dumb and Dumber had audiences doubled over - not sure whether to...

Title: Dumb and Dumber To Director: Bobby Farrelly & Peter Farrelly Starring: Jim Carrey, Jeff Daniels, Kathless Turner, Rob Riggle, Laurie Holden, Rachel Melvin, Steve Tom, Don Lake, Patricia French. Dumb and Dumber Two or Dumb and Dumber Too? Either way the intentional typo reiterates the stupidity of our protagonists who are back after two decades. Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels have aged badly but more than their farcical out of date “dumb play,” the true problem of ‘Dumb and Dumber To’ lies in the script, drenched with language and coarsely vulgar gags. Universal Pictures released their new comedy flick, "Dumb And Dumber To" into theaters this weekend. I just watched it, and thought it was ok with a few good laughs here and there. However, there was a ton corny as hell stuff the they through into the mix. But overall, it kept me entertained. It stars: Jim Carrey, Jeff Daniels, Rob Riggle, Laurie Holden, Rachel Melvin and Kathleen Turner. In the new flick, we start out seeing Harry Dunne (Jeff Daniels), visiting his best friend, Lloyd Christmas (Jim Carrey) at Baldy View Mental Hospital for the past 20 years. Lloyd has supposedly been committed there ever since his doomed romance with Mary Swanson (aka Samsonite). Harry finally end up telling Lloyd that he can't come visit him anymore due to him needing a new kidney and needing to take care of that. From there, Lloyd reveals that the entire, past 20 years of...
