‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’ Fans Are Thirsting After ‘Black Macv Shemar Moore
Image
Thousands of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia fans are under the impression that Daytime Emmy Award-winning actor Shemar Moore is a melanin-rich dead ringer for Rob McElhenney, but does the comparison really pass an ocular patdown?

Now, it’s important to start off with a superficial disclaimer: It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia star and creator McElhenney is, by every objective and objectifying measure, a handsome man, especially after he decided to stick with his “Ripped Mac” phase back in Season 13. This isn’t a knock on McElhenney’s jawline, his strong, pronounced brow or his oft-goatee’d facial hair, all of which may lead some to think that the sitcom superstar and soccer magnate bears a stunning, cross-racial resemblance to Moore. But, let’s be real here, Moore broke through with a contract role on The Young and the Restless, so are we really ready to say that Mac is soap opera hot?...

It's Always Sunny's Entire Cast And Crew Got Robbed While Filming Mac Day In Philly
Image
"It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" might be set in a gritty dive bar in South Philly, but the series costs millions of dollars to make. The network-grade camera equipment is a huge liability, especially in a neighborhood like the one where the series is set. Much of the show is shot on the set of Paddy's Pub in Los Angeles, but some parts of "It's Always Sunny" are shot on location in Philadelphia, per Collider. The cast and crew of the FX series are unafraid of taking risks, often putting their bodies and their reputation on the line for the series, but sometimes their bold authenticity comes at a price.

The only member of the "It's Always Sunny" cast who's actually from Philly is showrunner Rob McElhenney, who also stars in the show as Mac opposite series co-creators Charlie Day and Glenn Howerton. Each character in Paddy's crew gets one...

Ed Sheeran Grills Cheesesteaks for Fans Between Philadelphia Concerts
Image
Ed Sheeran served up some Philly cheesesteaks between performances on his weekend trip to Philadelphia, following in the spirit of his ongoing “Mathematics Tour” that pairs his massive stadium dates with intimate, theater shows in select cities.

In a decision that kept him neutral in the long-time local rivalry between Geno’s and Pat’s, Sheeran opted to join Sq Philip’s Steaks in South Philadelphia for a surprise afternoon shift on Saturday, where the “Shape of You” singer was taught by brothers-owners Joseph and Philip Baldino about the merits of melted Cheez Whiz, “slabs,” and the difference between “wit” and “witout.”

A crowd formed after Sheeran posted a questionnaire on his Instagram story asking for the “Best” cheesesteak in the city, followed by an address to Philip’s and the promise that “cheesesteaks are on me today.” He later posted a recap of his visit, which kicked off with Sheeran declaring,...

Vice TV is following up tonight’s “Vice Versa: Chyna” documentary with next week’s installment, “Vice Versa: Fear of a Black Quarterback,” TheWrap has learned. We can also exclusively debut the trailer for the June 24 premiere.

“Fear of a Black Quarterback” features former NFL QBs Donovan McNabb, Warren Moon, Akili Smith, Vince Young, Shaun King, Quincy Carter and Marlin Briscoe, as well as ex-ESPN personality Jemele Hill and super agent Leigh Steinberg. The film “provides an inside look into McNabb’s NFL experiences and the hardships and discrimination Black players in this position have faced,” in Vice TV’s own words.

McNabb was one of three Black quarterbacks selected in the first round of the 1999 NFL Draft in what seemed like a turning point for a league where white players predominantly held the quarterback position. Unfortunately, the path to equity has been arduous, the logline continues, requiring McNabb...

Rush Limbaugh, Right-Wing Radio Host Who Trafficked in Bigotry and Cruelty, Dead at 70
Image
Rush Limbaugh, the right-wing talk show host who gleefully stoked division in America, helped polarize our national politics and made a career trafficking in bigotry and cruelty, died Wednesday at the age of 70. The cause of death was lung cancer. His wife, Kathryn, confirmed the host’s death on Facebook.

Over three decades on the national airwaves, Limbaugh promoted profoundly offensive ideas, often referring to feminists as “feminazis”; long calling AIDS “the Rock Hudson disease”; and once observing that the NFL “looks like a game between the Bloods and the Crips without any weapons.

Rush Limbaugh Dies: Influential Conservative Talk Show Pioneer Was 70
Image
Rush Limbaugh, the pioneering and polarizing conservative talk show host whose radio program drew millions of listeners and influenced Republican politicians including President Donald Trump, died today of lung cancer. He was 70.

Limbaugh’s wife, Kathryn, made the announcement on his radio show today. He had announced his Stage 4 cancer diagnosis a year ago, one day before Trump presented him with the Presidential Medal of Freedom during the 2020 State of the Union address.

The homepage on Limbaugh’s site reads: “In Loving Memory of Rush Hudson Limbaugh III The Greatest of All Time.”

Trump marked Limbaugh’s death by calling into Fox News for his first interview of 2021. The former commander in chief praised the late media titan for supporting him early during the 2016 campaign but also used the opportunity to regurgitate debunked falsehoods about Trump winning the 2020 election. “Rush thought we won, and so do I. I think we won substantially,...
