Sarah Cooper, affectionately known on set as "Scoop", was born in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She attended Arkansas State University and graduated with a Bachelors' degree in Communication Studies. She has had a lifelong love of film and all things media and began her career in Tulsa, Oklahoma as a background actor. She then moved into the production side, becoming a set production assistant.
