Hallmark movies embrace familiar love tropes, offering comfort and assurance of a happy ending for the protagonists. Summer movies like "Sailing Into Love" provide new settings and storylines, adding excitement to Hallmark's lineup. "Love and Sunshine" and other films showcase realistic romance development over time, with heartfelt connections and adorable twists.
Hallmark movies may not receive critical acclaim, but that doesn't mean they don't provide fun and unique stories full of romance and heart. Part of the fun of watching a Hallmark movie is that they're unafraid to lean into familiar tropes about love and relationships. Additionally, Hallmark films are not romantic movies with tragic endings, and it can be comforting to watch a movie and know that despite the obstacles, the protagonists will end up together. This is especially exciting when these stories are set during the summer months, and the heat of summertime leads to steamy romantic entanglements.

The made-for-tv movie was a programming staple for the broadcast networks in the 1970s and 1980s. While it fell out of favor in the 1990s and was even dropped as an Emmy Awards category for three years beginning in 2011, it has been on an upswing as of late. This year, 34 telefilms are in contention for the five nominations that will be revealed on July 12.
All 22,000 plus voting members of the TV academy have until June 25 to cast their ballots for their favorite TV movies. In the past, voters were limited in the number of telefilms that they could put forth. Last year, that cap (which was usually 10 per category) was lifted. And, as opposed to the Oscars, voters for the Emmys do not rank their choices and nominees are determined by a simple tally.

12 Rounds 3: Lockdown continues the long-running franchise with yet another WWE superstar given the chance to headline. This time round we have Dean Ambrose, a wrestler known for his anarchic, unstable nature who doesn’t play by the rules. And that’s essentially the same character he plays here – only this time his character, Shaw, also happens to be a cop. The only good cop in his precinct it would seem, given just how many men Shaw’s former partner turned nemesis, Burke, brings with him to take on Shaw!
Essentially another Die Hard clone (as were the first two movies), 12 Rounds 3 sees Shaw, following the death of his partner, finally return to active duty.
