Rajkumar Santoshi’s directorial grossed 63 crores at the Indian box office. Including taxes, the gross earnings came to 86.02 crores.

Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani also made noise in the overseas market. It accumulated 13.73 crores gross in the international circuit. The worldwide box office collections wrapped up around 99.75 crores gross.

Mumbai, March 23 (Ians) As Vipul Amrutlal Shah’s directorial ‘Namastey London’ completed 16 years, he talked about the film and what makes it special to him. He also recalls working with Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in the film.

‘Namastey London’ is a story of a Punjabi boy and British girl featuring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles. It also stars Rishi Kapoor, Nina Wadia, Javed Sheikh, Upen Patel and Clive Standen in supporting roles. Released in 2007, the film completed 16 years on Thursday. The film received a positive response for direction, story, and music.

New Delhi, Jan 27 (Ians) The All India Football Federation (Aiff) president Kalyan Chaubey wants the National Beach Soccer Championship, which is being held in Surat, to be a regular feature in every seasons footballing calendar and make the event much bigger in the years to come.

The first-ever National Beach Soccer Championship got underway at the Dumas Beach in Surat on January 26 in the presence of Aiff chief Chaubey, Member of Parliament Cr Patil, Beach Soccer Committee Chairman Jignesh Patil, Gsfa Secretary Mulrajsinh Chudasama, and Beach Soccer Committee Member Upen Patel.

This is a film for the diehard romantics who still believe love lasts for many lifetimes. Quite the other end of the spectrum from Imtiaz Ali’s Jab Harry Met Sejal where Ms Sharma is heard discussing the legal ramifications of random “intercourse” with Shah Rukh Khan.

Suneel Darshan’s chaste love birds played by his son Shiv and newcomer Natasha Fernandez, are strictly old-school. Shiv shows some growth as an actor. He plays Deodhar, a mysterious figure who moves around as a spirit in the picturesque locales of England, who wooes the pretty girl Natasha with Nadeem’s song which spill put in atorrent of effusion.

It’s good to see a Bollywood film paying heed to the tradition of protagonists singing songs on screen. There is plenty of lip-sync singing in this film.

Also, the music is more contemporary; something that one would want to hear from Nadeem in the present time. The movie does have a love triangle, but it has more layers to it and comes somewhere from the world of classic English movies. So there are absolutely no comparisons.”

Akshay Kumar's popular film Namastey London recently turned into a franchise when director-producer Vipul Shah announced a sequel to the same titled Namastey England. Along with co-producing the film, Akshay Kumar will once again be seen as the protagonist in the second installment.

British Indian model-turned-actor Upen Patel has been approached by Ar Murugadoss for a South Indian film.

Upen Patel is riding high on the success of his debut Tamil movie, Shankar’s I”, that went on to become a huge box office hit thereby making Rs 200 crores worldwide.

Following the movie’s success and Upen’s immense popularity down south, we have learnt that another successful director from South has been trying to rope in the suave actor for his next South movie.

With ‘I’ having done phenomenally well at the box office, it shows how 2015 indeed began on a good note for Upen, who’s been flooded with good acting offers from Bollywood and Tollywood.

Prem (Ranbir) is a happy go lucky fun loving chap staying in a small town. But problems follow him everywhere even when he is all set to do something good for others. Prem along with his friends runs a ‘Happy Club’ which believes in joining hearts of lovers. Following some misunderstandings, Prem loses his heart to new girl in town Jenny (Katrina). He finds out she is an orphan.
