Fun Trailer for Dutch Animated Movie 'Fox and Hare Save the Forest'
Image
"Operation Rescue Owl is underway!" Screen Daily has revealed the first official promo trailer for an indie animated movie titled Fox and Hare Save the Forest, the latest creation from a Dutch filmmaker named Mascha Halberstad (following her film Oink previously). This is premiering at the 2024 Berlin Film Festival in the kid's section titled Generation - which kicks off this week in Germany. "The 3D animation follows a group of animal friends who embark on an adventure when a lake threatens to submerge their forest home, perhaps the work of a megalomaniac beaver." It centers on the adventures of best friends Fox and Hare. One day, they find out that Owl has gone missing, and they embark on a journey to find him. While the film is a 3D digital creation, it has a stop-motion look & feel by making the characters out of clay and scanning them. The voice cast includes Rob Rackstraw,...

Karen Gillan Directed and Starred in a Film Called The Party's Just Beginning and Here's The Trailer
Karen Gillan is best know for her roles in Guardians of the Galaxy, Doctor Who, and Jungle Book, but the actress has also just directed her first movie! It’s called The Party’s Just Beginning and the trailer for the movie has been released.

The movie is described as a “surreal coming of age story told from the perspective of a young Scottish woman (Karen Gillan) trying to cope with the suicide of her best friend and struggling to confront what's truly haunting her.” As a coping mechanism to deal with her life issues, she resorts to having sex and drinking alcohol.

I’ve been a fan of Gillan since her days on Doctor Who and it’s been great to see her film career thrive. Now, she’s getting behind the camera to tell stories and it will be interesting to see where this directing career path leads her.

Trailer for Karen Gillan's Dark Comedy Film 'The Party's Just Beginning'
"I can offer you, like, more magic than any mushroom ever picked." The Orchard has unveiled an official trailer for an indie drama titled The Party's Just Beginning, the feature directorial debut of Scottish actor-filmmaker Karen Gillan, who wrote the screenplay as well. This first premiered at the Glasgow and Tribeca Film Festivals earlier this year, and will be available to watch this fall. The Party's Just Beginning also stars Gillan as a woman named Liusaidh, who's struggling to deal with stress and all the feelings after her friend takes his own life. It's a powerful, darkly comedic film about loss, grief, and survivor's guilt. The cast includes Lee Pace, Matthew Beard, Paul Higgins, Rachel Jackson, Siobhan Redmond, Jamie Quinn, and Lesley Harcourt. This seems a bit wild & crazy but actually looks like an impressive debut. Here's the first official trailer (+ poster) for Karen Gillan's The Party's Just Beginning, from...
