Clipped Episode 5 True Story: What The Show Changes
Image
Warning: Spoilers ahead for Clipped episode 5.

Clipped episode 5 leaves out Shelly Sterling's belief in Donald's dementia after racist comments. Doc Rivers inspires the Clippers to victory in tumultuous times during the Donald Sterling scandal. V. Stiviano defends Donald's racist comments in the real-life interview, which causes more confusion.

The penultimate episode of Clipped titled "The Best Words" continues the show's mostly accurate portrayal of the infamous Donald Sterling scandal. In Clipped episode 5, both V. Stiviano and Donald's wife Shelly, who had owned 50% of the Clippers along with Donald before she was forced by the NBA and Commissioner Adam Silver to sell the team, speak to legendary journalist Barbara Walters in nationally televised interviews. With only one episode remaining of Clipped, Donald looks to retaliate for his lifelong ban from the NBA as well as his $2.5 million fine with swift albeit misguided legal action.

Doc Rivers, who coached the...

‘Untold’ Review: Netflix Sports Doc Series Is as Much About Shaping the Future as Reexamining the Past
Image
“Untold” is ostensibly about sports, but there’s a curious connector across the new Netflix documentary series. In each of the five episodes, as the best laid plans of teams and athletes begin to unravel, TV ends up a catalyzing factor. Partly, that’s the inevitable byproduct of fame: More notoriety leads to more eyeballs and all the swirling problems that increased attention can bring.

As the title implies, the series examines specific chapters in a variety of sports, offering the people at the center the chance to share their feelings years (or in some cases decades) later.

Some of these have a true-crime tinge to them, as with installments covering a minor league hockey team caught up in a federal...

VH1 Jumps Into Housewives Genre With New NBA Wives Series
We just discovered from the VH1 network that they are preparing to launch a new series, patterned almost exactly after The Atlanta Housewives, titled Basketball Wives. It seems as if this is the new genre now, after the success and spin-offs of all of the Housewives titled shows.

Anyway, the eight-episode half-hour series will show the wives and girlfriends of players Shaquille O'Neal, Eric Williams, Antoine Walker, Jermaine O'Neal and Udonis Haslem's. (We ask why are girlfriends on the show?)

We also hear that Shed Media is producing the series, with co-star Shaunie O'Neal also earning an executive producer credit, even though we recently discovered that she recently separated from her NBA All-Star husband Shaquille O’Neal. How this will affect the show will remain to be seen since the majority of the show was filmed before the break-up.

"Having been around these remarkable women for several years, I have...

NBA Star Jermaine O'Neal Get Behind 'David'
Who would have known NBA star Jermaine O'Neal was such a horror buff? The star of the Toronto Raptors is helping fund two upcoming horror flicks,, both slated to go behind the camera early next year. Beyond the break you can read a bit more about Chris White's David, which was first announced here. The article also reveals that O'Neal is producing My Place In The Horror, which was first mentioned on B-d a week ago. If Jermaine O'Neal's mother knew what kind of movies her son was funding, she'd be, well, horrified. "When we were kids, my mom never let us out on Halloween to trick or treat," O'Neal said with a laugh. "She thought that it was celebrating the devil. So I missed out on that. But I did sneak out to see some of those movies."...
