The Paper finally has a premiere date. The long-awaited spinoff of The Office will begin streaming on Peacock this September.
Peacock has revealed that the first four episodes of The Paper will premiere on Sept. 4, followed by two new episodes every Thursday through Sept. 25.This means the entire 10-episode season will be rolled out in less than a month. While the binge method (a.k.a. releasing the entire season at the same time) was once a popular release method for streaming originals, in recent years, streamers like HBO Max, Prime Video, and Disney+ have gone back to the tried and true one-episode per week release pattern, with some notable exceptions like multi-episode premieres or finales. With The Office a consistent streaming hit, the decision to burn through an entire season of its highly anticipated spinoff in just one month is somewhat unusual, although Peacock likely has a reason for doing so.

Los Angeles — Craig Robinson jolted fans on July 4 by declaring on Instagram that he was “quitting comedy” to pursue “something bigger,” hinting at a mysterious small-business venture and asking fellow entrepreneurs for advice. The timing — and the fact that Robinson still has improv dates on the books — quickly triggered speculation that the post was a teaser for the next instalment of AT&T Business’s nostalgia-driven campaign built around a mini-reunion of The Office cast.
That campaign, first detailed by The Hollywood Reporter last year, united Robinson with Rainn Wilson, Jenna Fischer, Brian Baumgartner, Kate Flannery and Creed Bratton in “Sleep with Rain,” a six-minute mock-doc in which Wilson tries to launch a talking pillow while the others scramble to keep his start-up afloat on AT&T’s Next Level Network. Update: Variety was right. Scroll down to watch the latest AT&T Business Internet commercial featuring Craig Robinson and fellow “The Office” alum Ellie Kemper, Angela Kinsey, Creed Bratton and Oscar Nuñez in the spot “Wake Up With CrAIg.”
The reports of Craig Robinson’s retirement from comedy appear to have been greatly exaggerated. Turns out “The Office” star’s so-called “retirement” is believed to be part of a new brand marketing campaign expected to be unleashed in the coming days — and perhaps for a division of AT&T.
Teaser billboards have appeared across Los Angeles in recent weeks announcing, “Craig Robinson is Quitting Comedy,” without any further information. A good indicator that this is part of a teaser campaign, as it is doubtful Robinson would actually spend that kind of outdoor advertising cash to reveal a career change.

The majority of people associate Kevin Malone with chili. Thanks to The Office, actor Brian Baumgartner and the fictional Kevin character have come to represent comfort food. Ironically, the showrunners viewed the now-iconic sequence as “controversial” behind the scenes.
Cold openers were frequently used in The Office. The main plot of the show wasn’t always related to these opening scenes. These sequences might be standalone narratives as well. One such Cold Open, Kevin Malone bringing in his legendary chili, was maybe one of the best scenes of The Office.
The iconic cold open from The Office‘s Season 5 episode Casual Friday, where Kevin Malone spills his famous chili, was indeed filmed in a single take- a remarkable feat given the scene’s complexity and messiness.

Back when The Office was just a pitch, no one could’ve guessed it would become the sitcom legend it is today. In fact, the odds were stacked against it. The original British version, created by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant, was already a cult classic, so naturally, the idea of remaking it for American TV seemed, well… doomed.
Michael Schur, one of the founding fathers of some of the most iconic sitcoms ever made, and also a key creative force behind the U.S. version of The Office. At the time, though, he was being begged by his comedy friends, including fellow SNL alumni, not to touch it.
But Schur rolled the dice, joining a team that would turn that “terrible idea” into comedy gold. Here is what went on behind the scenes!
Why Mike Schur took The Office job even though his SNL friends begged him not to

As you know, Suits LA has been axed by NBC after just one season. The series’ 12th episode, “Angry Sylvester,” turned out to be its last, as the show formally ended on May 11, 2025.
NBC has confirmed that they have decided not to renew the show for a new season, despite the producers giving it their best to at least come close to the success of the original series. But it just didn’t work out.
In a recent talk with the press, NBC’s exec Jeff Bader talked about the cancellation and he explained a bit why the decision had to be made.

Exclusive: It’s one and done for NBC’s legal drama Suits LA headlined by Stephen Amell, a spinoff of the long-running USA Network series Suits.
Given the high-profile IP involved, NBC had high expectations for the series from Suits creator Aaron Korsh. They never materialized: after an Ok premiere, viewership for the offshoot, which airs on Sunday, has remained low.
That is with NBC and Korsh pulling out all the stops and bringing back popular original cast members to play with the new cast. They included Gabriel Macht, who reprised the role of Harvey Specter in a three-episode arc, Rick Hoffman as eccentric Louis Litt in episode 112 and David Costabile as Daniel Hardman in episode 109.

Nearly two decades after its debut, The Office (U.S.) continues to dominate pop culture, and much of its lasting appeal can be traced to one man, that is Steve Carell. Though the series began as an adaptation of the British original created by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant, it quickly surpassed the original.
According to the show’s creators and cast, the American version succeeded because of Carell’s performance as Michael Scott. True to say, the character could’ve easily been unwatchable, but became one of television’s best-worst bosses. And as someone who helped shape the show, Michael Schur knows exactly what made The Office (U.S.) outgrow its British predecessor.

The first season of Suits LA, a spin-off to the 2011 legal drama, Suits, has opted to tell its own story in a different way, as it has relied heavily on flashbacks to reveal various plot points. In Suits LA Season 1, Episode 10, "Slugfest," those flashbacks established emphatically that Stuart Lane (Josh McDermitt) is every bit as ruthless as Ted Black (Stephen Amell) when he wants to be, even when it hurts those he might care about. But his ruthlessness might have cost him dearly in the present day, and new comical challenges await his friend, as he continues to run his firm.
The logline for next Sunday's Episode 11 of Suits LA, "Tearin' Up My Heart," is as follows:

Okay, this one’s straight out of the unhinged multiverse of The Office. Turns out, Mindy Kaling, the Kelly Kapoor herself, had a hilariously dark vision for her character’s future with Ryan. And no, it didn’t involve a wedding or a baby.
Frankly, after years of chaos, emotional terrorism, and questionable bangs, it kind of tracks. Kelly and Ryan were TV’s most toxic duo, and if anyone was going to go full Dateline on Dunder Mifflin, it’d be her.

Rainn Wilson, known for his role as Dwight Schrute on The Office, recently shared his perspective on the state of American media and politics during a conversation on his Soul Boom podcast.
Joined by MSNBC host Stephanie Ruhle, Wilson highlighted concerns about biased reporting and its impact on public trust, particularly in relation to the current and previous U.S. administrations.
Wilson pointed out what he sees as a double standard in how left-leaning news outlets cover political issues. He argued that these outlets were quick to downplay challenges during the Biden administration, such as economic struggles and immigration policies, while being overly critical of the Trump administration. “This is where I would push back,” Wilson said.

It's a little hard to believe that The Office spin-off is actually happening, especially because rumors of it have been going around for years. This time, however, the new series is giving all the signs that it has taken off by announcing main cast members and its basic premise. This week, however, The Office alumnus Oscar Nuñez provided an important update on The Paper, and it looks like the show is a lot closer to coming to our screens than we imagined.
The information was revealed during a participation on the Today show. Nuñez was invited along with several original cast members, including Brian Baumgartner (Kevin), Angela Kinsey (Angela), Creed Bratton (Creed), Kate Flannery (Meredith), Leslie David Baker (Stanley), and Ellie Kemper (Erin). The group was celebrating the series' 20th anniversary, and during the group interview Nuñez revealed that episodes are in the editing process, which might indicate that a trailer will pop up soon.

Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey may not be starring in the new spinoff series of “The Office” from series showrunner Greg Daniels, but the hosts of the “Office Ladies” podcast made a stop by the set to see the new production in action — and meet up with their former co-star Oscar Nuñez.
“Jenna and I stopped by set,” Kinsey said in an appearance on “Today” celebrating the original series’ 20th anniversary. “Greg had invited us, and we showed up, and not only was Oscar there, but our crew, so many of these wonderful people. Because the crew was our extended family, and we’re still really close with them, and that was really moving to see.”
Nuñez also appeared in the segment and teased his inclusion in the new spinoff. The actor will be reprising his role as Oscar Martinez in Peacock’s followup series, which is rumored to be titled “The Paper.

There’s really no one like Steve Carell, and Melora Hardin knew it the moment she started working with him on The Office. Playing Jan Levinson opposite Carell’s unforgettable Michael Scott, their on-screen chemistry was something else, the kind that doesn’t come around often on TV, to say the least.
Working with Steve Carell was a huge relief for Melora Hardin. After years of acting alongside people who clung to the script like it was glued to their hands, Carell was a total breath of fresh air. He thrived on improv, tossed curveballs mid-scene, and had the capability of making any actor working with him feel alive again.

NBC isn't ready to close the door on Suits LA just yet. A second season of the Suits spinoff is reportedly still on the table despite the show's lower-than-expected ratings.
Deadline recently reported on the renewal status of NBC's current scripted lineup, which boasts 15 series, two of which (St. Denis Medical and Happy's Place) have only been renewed for next season. While Suits LA has been neither a hit with critics nor in the ratings, Deadline has heard that the network is still considering a second season of the spinoff, likely due to the Suits franchise being a high-profile IP for NBCUniversal.
While it had a devoted fanbase during its nine-season run on the USA Network in the 2010s, Suits became massively popular when it was added to Netflix in 2023, becoming the platform's most-streamed show of the year. This renewed interest in the IP led to NBC ordering the Los Angeles-set spinoff.

The first season of the spinoff show, Suits LA, is gradually inching towards the finish line. While the show might have struggled with ratings so far, it does feel good to be back in the world of Suits, with well-dressed and exceptionally brilliant lawyers. While the original series had Sarah Rafferty playing Donna Paulsen, secretary and confidante to Gabriel Macht's all-conquering New York lawyer, Harvey Specter. The spinoff has its own version of that dynamic, with series lead, Stephen Amell's Ted Black, having his back watched by his secretary, Roslyn, played by Azita Ghanizada. Just like with Donna and Harvey, Roslyn seems to know everything there is to know about Ted, and the pair work seamlessly.
Knowing when to share and withhold information while choreographing Ted's life and firm from behind the scenes, Ghanizada's Roslyn is the invisible hand that steers Black & Associates. Speaking in an interview with Screen Rant,...

Former The Walking Dead star Josh McDermitt is now playing a major role in NBC's latest legal drama Suits LA, and he has one A-list actor in mind to join the growing list of celebrities to feature on the show.
Suits LA set out to differentiate from the mothership series as it pivoted to an L.A. setting, exploring the world of entertainment law. That format has opened the doors to actors appearing as fictionalized versions of themselves, including John Amos (Good Times), Patton Oswalt (Ratatouille), and Brian Baumgartner (The Office).
The legal drama sets out to establish just how big of a figure Stephen Amell's Ted Black is in Hollywood by featuring A-list actors in unique roles as clients of his who never actually appear, including Denzel Washington and Tom Hanks.

Suits LA has run half of its first season, and while the show might still be suffering a bit of a setback in terms of its popularity, the show remains one that has the potential to kick on eventually. To help boost its popularity, the spinoff will have to rely somewhat on the original series, Suits, and a number of its original stars returning. The spinoff features Lex Scott Davis as the female lead, Erica Rollins. The 2011 legal drama was a brilliant hit for the USA Network, and with its resurgence on Netflix a few years later, the spinoff was launched. Davis has discussed the potential return of some of its original stars.

If you're a fan of "The Office," chances are you've gone down the rewatch rabbit hole multiple times. In recent years especially, there's been an even bigger excuse to revisit the beloved series, which, according to IMDb, remains the best sitcom of all time: The actual stars of the series have also been revisiting the show. Kevin actor Brian Baumgartner kicked things off with his podcast "An Oral History of The Office" before launching "The Office Deep Dive with Brian Baumgartner," which featured extended, unedited interviews from his previous podcast. Then, Pam and Angela actors Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey gave us yet another excuse to return to Scranton with their "Office Ladies" podcast.
Altogether, this plethora of "Office" revisits has resulted in a goldmine of trivia and behind-the-scenes revelations, which have basically made it so no aspect of the series remains mysterious 12 years after it went off the air...

Suits: LA isn’t the show fans hoped it’d be, but there could be time for NBC to shift it up!
Hopes were high for Suits: LA. With the original USA Network show finding new success on Netflix, a revival show seemed a perfect idea. Sadly, with five episodes down, it’s time to face the fact that Suits: LA simply isn’t working. The factors are plentiful, but here are the key reasons why the show is in trouble and how NBC can fix it!
Ted isn’t a fun character in Suits: LA
It is fun to see Stephen Amell outside of Arrow but his Ted character isn’t working out. He’s supposed to be a top prosecutor turned entertainment/defense lawyer, but he’s not that good of an attorney in either part. He makes too many mistakes, so it's hard to buy people trusting him,...

As TV shows go, "The Office" is a goldmine of endless trivia, as evidenced by the fact that multiple former stars have started podcasts breaking down the series since it went off the air in 2013. The "Office Ladies" podcast is hosted by Pam and Angela actors Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey, while Kevin actor Brian Baumgartner hosted the podcast "An Oral History of The Office" before spinning that off into yet another podcast "The Office Deep Dive with Brian Baumgartner." Each of these retrospectives are must-listen resources for fans of the original series, as they provide exhaustive insights into how the show was produced, revealing every bit of behind-the-scenes trivia you could possibly want -- and there's a heck of a lot of it.

The American version of The Office is now 20 years old. Some of the talents involved with the hit series took some time to reflect on bringing it to life two decades ago with its earlier episodes, divulging how three of the show's writers wound up pulling double duty as on-screen actors.
Per THR, series creator Greg Daniels shared how B.J. Novak was the first person who was hired for the show. It was planned from the start for Novak to work as both a writer and an actor, and that resulted in him playing Ryan beginning with the very first episode. Daniels said he picked Novak first after recognizing his skills, noting, "It just felt to me like this is a really good place for writer-performers. I wanted to have a writer-performer vibe in the show."

In its initial four episodes, Daredevil has not suited up since the action-packed opening in Daredevil: Born Again. Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) has seemingly retired from his vigilante lifestyle and chosen to spend the rest of his days as a defense attorney. The Disney+ series plays out more of a law drama than other shows, such as Suits LA.
The justice system has always been used as a subplot in the Marvel franchise. When the comic book became a movie in 2003, Matt (played by Ben Affleck) defended an abused woman from gangster Jose Quesada (Paul Ben-Victor). Matt stormed out of the courtroom, unhappy with the verdict. Matt suited up and went on the prowl, attacking Quesada at a nightclub.

This week marks the 20th anniversary of The Office, the groundbreaking NBC sitcom that redefined workplace comedy and launched the careers of several cast members. Since the show’s debut on March 24, 2005, many of its stars have gone on to successful careers in television and film, earning critical acclaim and industry recognition — but the ensemble surprisingly did not have the greatest success when it came to Emmy Awards.
Leading man Steve Carell starred as Michael Scott, the endearingly incompetent regional manager of the Scranton branch of paper company Dunder Mifflin. The following contains spoilers for Suits LA Season 1, Episode 4, "Batman Returns," which debuted Sunday, March 16 on NBC.
Enrico Colantoni has been a fan-favorite on TV for decades, whether it's playing Keith Mars in Veronica Mars, the stalwart Greg Parker in Flashpoint or any of his numerous guest appearances. However, his role on Suits LA might have surprised more than a few viewers. In the NBC spinoff's fourth episode, Colantoni played a version of himself... who was arrested for attacking his neighbor's petunias with a chainsaw.
The plot only got stranger from there, not only as audiences found out why the actor had been motivated to do a little gardening, but exactly how he'd done it. Plus, Colantoni ran afoul of Stuart Lane, portrayed by Josh McDermitt. In an interview with Cbr, the English Teacher star gave his thoughts on the storyline, discussed a possible return to the show -- and...

No TV series this century has had a following like The Office. The Steve Carell-starring workplace mockumentary comedy ran for nine seasons on NBC and has an endless number of iconic moments that still make fans laugh out loud to this day. One of those was the cold open to the Season 5 episode “Casual Friday”. This is where accountant Kevin Malone (Brian Baumgartner) brought his famous chili to work. Now, that moment has been immortalized in a humorous figure from McFarlane Toys.

Speaking to TV Line, Korsh was asked if he could give any inside scoop on the apparent sexual tension or romantic history that has been hinted at between Lex Scott Davis' Erica and Bryan Greenberg's Rick. "In the original pilot, we had that as a reveal that they used to be together," Korsh responded. "And they actually end up getting together again in the pilot. But I ended up cutting that scene because I felt like, in classic Suits fashion, it's better to have them yearning for each other than it is to have them being together. Every actor has regrets -- even the best ones. For example, the late Gene Hackman wished he hadn't starred in two of his films, noting that he accepted one role for the money and hated the title of the other project. Elsewhere, the list of actors who regret making superhero movies just keeps growing, with everyone from Ryan Reynolds to Sylvester Stallone wishing they'd been pickier at certain times. And then you have actors who regret being typecast, even if they don't necessarily hate the role that led to their frustrations. "The Office" star Brian Baumgartner can relate to the latter, and he pokes fun at his career woes in "Suits LA" Episode 3.

“Suits LA” went meta for its latest case, which that creator Aaron Korsh hopes will lead to more real-life Hollywood stars popping up on the NBC spinoff series.
Episode 3, titled “He Knew,” follows as Erica (Lex Scott Davis) helps “The Office” star Brian Baumgartner — a client of the firm — with his desire to seek advice on pivoting his acting career from comedy into serious dramatic roles. At the start of the episode he demands the firm set him up with a meeting with Tom Hanks, but both Erica and her assistant Leah (Alice Lee) know they could never make that happen.
Instead, Leah sets up a meeting between the actor behind Kevin Malone and Patton Oswalt, who also plays himself and comes with sage advice for the veteran comedian. The enounter was equal parts earnest and hilarious, as the two actors bickered about their standing in the entertainment business.

Episode 3 of Suits LA, titled "He Knew," doesn't make the show look like a typical law drama. The characters haven't been in a courtroom since the first episode, and Episode 3 mostly focuses on creating emotional moments. It's a strategy that feels wrong at first, but pays off by the end of the episode.
Rick Dodson (Bryan Greenberg) doesn't play a big role in this week's episode, mainly just receiving his office as the new Head of Entertainment. The episode also gives a bigger part to Ted's secretary, Roslyn (Azita Ghanizada). Roslyn did appear in the first episode, but it was in such a small capacity that her presence in Episode 3 is jolting. The episode also has two celebrity cameos, Patton Oswalt and Brian Baumgartner.
