John Stripe

The first and only baby to be born at the U.S. Air Force Academy clinic, John Stripe was born and raised in heart of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado Springs, CO. John was an extremely active individual growing up. John played recreational soccer, martial arts, track, long distance running, basketball, tennis, ice hockey, and climbing. At 4 years old John was enrolled in Taekwondo and earned his junior black belt at 11 years old. However, during a training session John suffered a leg injury tearing his ACL in 2005 and was inactive for a few years and later in his early college years he dislocated his right knee right before enlisting in the U.S. Army as an Infantry soldier. During Army basic training, John's right knee dislocated again on the first day of shark attack hell week due to a soldier's duffle bag swinging into the back of his leg. Despite the injury and accident, John convinced the Drill Sergeants not to send him back home due to his commitment to serve his country. He rehabilitated his leg during downtime and committed to serving at his first duty station in El Paso, TX where he ultimately was looked up to as a star military athlete for his units that he served in by achieving numerous record level scores on physical fitness tests, which ultimately provided him a slot into the National Guard Ranger Training Assessment Center in Fort Benning, GA. In training, John suffered another injury stress fracture in his right foot and was unfortunately sent home due to not completing the land navigation course on time due to the limping injury. For the remaining time on active duty as an Infantry soldier, John continued to rehabilitate and regained to becoming an athlete yet again until the completion of his contract in 2017. After active duty military service, John continued physically training diligently in boxing, weightlifting, and trail running while being in the Army Reserves as a Civil Affairs soldier, in conjunction with completing his education in Denver, CO and Malibu, CA with degrees in B.A. Communication Studies and Master of Dispute Resolution degree. After completing his educational tenure, he began working in the federal government in administration. John traveled to multiple cities and countries which ultimately led to his recent destination in Chicago, IL, where he began his career in acting as a background actor in January 2024. Since January 2024, John has worked 14 background and stand-in jobs. In April 2024, John signed with The Rock Talent Agency to further his steps in becoming an actor. John received a callback from his first job submission to Brooks in the same month. Soon after, John received a callback and option for Stitchfix and Del Monte, then booked his first job in June for Harley Davidson Fashion Show 2024 to model 2025 season gear. Additionally, he began training in acting with Acting Studio Chicago and is revisiting an undergraduate education at Loyola University Chicago starting Fall 2024 in Theatre. John Stripe is a fighter at heart who carries the drive and passion to becoming an actor. John's dedication to his passion is unrelenting and unstoppable despite any obstacles. With his vision, he knows he will achieve his goals, at the rate of the effort he will put in.
