First Wrong Turn 6: Last Resort Teaser Attacks!
We live in a world in which there will soon be six Wrong Turn movies. Ponder that if you will. That's amazing since the only deformed killer who survived in the original was Three Finger. So is this another prequel? Looks like it. I think. Does it matter?

Frightfest 2014: ‘Wrong Turn 6′ Review
Stars: Sadie Katz, Anthony Ilott, Aqueela Zoll, Rollo Skinner, Roxanne Pallett, Chris Jarvis, Luke Cousins, Rhys Coiro, Asen Asenov, Danko Jordanov, Billy Ashworth | Written by Frank H. Woodward | Directed by Valeri Milev

Who new that some 11 years after the series started Wrong Turn 6 would come along to cement the franchise as the modern successor to Tobe Hopper’s Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Yes the films started out (and some would say continued) as sub-par rip-offs of all the backwoods slashers that had come before it Wrong Turn 6: Last Resort (to give the film it’s complete title) builds on what has come before, adding much-needed story and mythos to a series that – in its last two entries – were little more than effects show pieces. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed the previous two films, which themselves rebooted the franchise in a “different” direction but this sixth film (really, I...

DS Icon: Sally Gray
The world of children's telly can be a cruel and unforgiving one. You can be the big cheese, the next Phillip Schofield/Andi Peters and the saviour of Cbbc one minute and six months later you can be Chris Jarvis and on the panto circuit scrapheap. 50/50, It'll Never Work and occasional Record Breakers hostess Sally Gray was for a brief period at the end of the '90s quite a big deal. A cool all-rounder, Gray's stern Scottish demeanor was able to keep 100 unruly scamps in check and simultaneously entertain dads tuning in to watch her (more)...

Jedis stand up for religious rights | Charles Nevin
The proposed equality bill says any 'heartfelt' belief is a religion – yet Star Wars disciples are still being asked to de-hood

Chris Jarvis, aged 31: the force may be with you. Jarvis is the Southend Jedi knight who refused to dehood in his jobcentre and has now received an apology from the manager for the lack of respect given to his "religion or beliefs". Being a Jedi knight, though, and committed to struggling unceasingly for justice and civilisation, Chris spurns such mouthings as empty, choosing rather to endure to the final triumph, and is planning to sue for discrimination.

You may argue that the history of the galaxies would look a great deal different if Darth Vader had taken a similar course, and would certainly have been far less exciting; I thank Jarvis for showing us what happens when The Earthly Powers That Be try to fight the forces of...
