Brainstorm Media has revealed the official US trailer for an action epic about a real moment in history titled Stockholm Bloodbath, yet another new film made by Swedish director Mikael Håfström. He also directed this year's Slingshot, but this film was finished before that one and premiered in Sweden last year - only now getting a US release. Anne and Freja seek revenge on the men who murdered their family. They end up in Stockholm, where they are drawn into a political power struggle between Sweden and Denmark which culminates in a mass execution. Wheel Of Time Season 2 Images: Rand's Journey Continues, Mat Recast Revealed & More

New The Wheel of Time images offer a closer glimpse into the goings-on of the upcoming season 2. The series, which is based on the high fantasy novel series by Robert Jordan, premiered on Prime Video in November 2021. It follows Aes Sedai member Moiraine (Rosamund Pike) who believes that one member of a group of people from the region of Andor is The Dragon Reborn, a prophesied figure who will either save the world or help destroy it.

Prime Video has unveiled new first-look images from the hotly anticipated The Wheel of Time season 2.

The images reveal a glimpse at what the bulk of the returning characters are up to, including Moiraine, Rand al'Thor (Josha Stradowski), and Egwene al'Vere (Madeleine Madden). One new image also offers a look at the returning character Mat Cauthon in a moment of exhausted repose, with Dónal Finn replacing original performer Barney Harris.

Viaplay’s Sales Arm Scores First Batch of Deals on ‘Stockholm Bloodbath,’ Mikael Håfström’s Epic Period Film With Sophie Cookson, Claes Bang, Emily Beecham (Exclusive)

Viaplay Content Distribution has closed the first raft of deals for its ambitious action drama film “Stockholm Bloodbath” directed by Mikael Håfström.

Ahead of Viaplay’s official streaming premiere in 2024, “Stockholm Bloodbath” will be distributed in the Nordics by Scanbox Entertainment. It will roll out in Denmark on Jan. 18th and in Sweden and Norway on Jan. 19. Splendid Film, meanwhile, has acquired all rights for Germany, Austria and German-speaking Switzerland.

“Stockholm Bloodbath” is part of Viaplay Content Distribution’s roster which will be unveiled at the Cannes Film Festival to international buyers. The company will present new and exclusive material from the film.

‘The Wheel Of Time’ Rounds Out Season 2 Recurring Cast With Guy Roberts, Arnas Fedaravicius & Gregg Chillingirian

Exclusive: Amazon is expanding its cast for the second season of The Wheel of Time. Guy Roberts, Arnas Fedaravicius and Gregg Chillingirian are set for recurring roles in the fantasy series adaptation of Robert E. Jordan’s books.

The Wheel of Time, set in a sprawling, epic world where magic exists, but only women can use it, is co-produced by Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television and comes from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and Chuck writer Rafe Judkins, who is showrunner and exec producer.

The story follows Moiraine (Rosamund Pike), a member of the incredibly powerful all-female organization called the Aes Sedai, as she arrives in the small town of Two Rivers. There, she embarks on a dangerous, world-spanning journey with five young men and women, one of whom is prophesied to be the Dragon Reborn, who will either save or destroy humanity.
