We're accustomed to thinking of great ballet stars as dazzling soloists. But Anatomy of a Male Ballet Dancer, an intimate study of longtime American Ballet Theatre principal Marcelo Gomes, made over a period of seven years by co-directors David Barba and James Pellerito, spends as much time highlighting its subject's extraordinary aptitude for partnering. That undersung virtue is seconded here by a string of ballerinas including Misty Copeland, Polina Semionova and Diana Vishneva, who attest to the rare combination of technique, sensitivity and connection that makes Gomes such a generous and freeing other half in a pas de deux.

Exclusive: Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos’ Milojo Prods. has come on board to co-produce with Charlie Corwin’s Original Media the second season of the docu-series Be Good Johnny Weir, which chronicles the flamboyant figure skater as he mounts his upcoming ice skating stage show Spectacular. The 10-episode second season is now in production for a summer run on the gay-centered cable channel Logo. Additionally, Milojo and Original Media, along with Weir’s Fireworks Management, will spearhead the development and production of Spectacular. “I am so honored and excited to have Kelly and Mark on board with Be Good Johnny Weir!," Weir said. Sundance sets up unscripted slate
The Sundance Channel is making a big push in the unscripted area with two new series, "The Day Before" and "Be Good Johnny Weir," and several projects in development, including one from producer Mark Burnett.

Additionally, the channel has greenlighted a second season of the interview show "Spectacle: Elvis Costello With ..."

"The Day Before" is an all-access behind-the-scenes look during the 36 hours before a fashion show.

-- "Be Good Johnny Weir," which follows the champion U.S. figure skater, is produced by David Barba, James Pellerito and Original Media.

Sundance's new nonfiction series in development for 2010 include:

-- Burnett's "Don't Bomb Kuala Lumpur," an anthropological comedy series featuring up-and-coming stand-up comedians visiting an unfamiliar city where they have to perform for the locals.
