Madisyn Barnes

Madisyn Myshíel Barnes is an eleven year old girl born and raised in Chicago, IL. She began her journey in the art and entertainment world at the age of five years old, when she performed the black national anthem during her prekindergarten black history program. Since then, Madisyn has graduated from the Chicago Performing Arts 2022 cohort, worked as a background actress for season 10, 2023 Chicago PD, Emancipation Apple+ 2022 original film, and was the daughter Imani Leijend in the 2020 film, The Leijend. Madisyn also has a passion for fashion as well as drawing which she believes will lead to exciting future endeavors. Madisyn loves God, her family and being the one to put a smile on someone's face with a joke, encouraging word or being a helpful person to anyone in the time of need. Madisyn enjoys acting, as it allows her to embrace another creative expression of her personality and share her gift from God. Recently, Madisyn, was featured as Diana in the film, We Grown Now, which is a powerful story paying homage to the residents of the public housing community, Cabrini Green by acknowledging their tests, trials, and triumphs. This is only the beginning for Madisyn so stay tune as she continues to grace new opportunities to let her light shine forth in every project/production.
