Gardner (Joseph Mazzello, Jurassic Park) is a socially awkward, 25-year-old mail carrier in the indie romantic comedy Dear Sidewalk. He keeps to a usual routine which includes a postal route walking through Austin neighborhoods, a daily chat with sarcastic retiree Trudy (Lana Dieterich) and weekly meetings with his small philatelic club. This stamp-collecting group is made up of his postal service co-workers (Davi Jay, Hugo Perez and C. K. McFarland) who encourage him to get out more. Meanwhile, he sleeps in a boat in front of his best pal Calvin's (Josh Fadem, 30 Rock) house.
Then fortysomething divorcee Paige (Michelle Forbes, True Blood) moves into a house on his route and disrupts his daily pattern. She flirts with him and takes him to the Cathedral of Junk. She throws his watch in Town Lake (or Lady Bird Lake, if you prefer). What does this mean for Gardner?

Joseph Mazzello came pretty close to being forever mired in that well-worn, curiosity-driven trap of “whatever happened to this child star?” But the Jurassic Park actor has made something of a comeback these past couple of years, thanks entirely to turns in HBO’s The Pacific and David Fincher‘s The Social Network; although this small role probably won’t get him into a spandex suit and in front of a green screen right away, it’s good to see more work come in.
Deadline reports that he, Josh Fadem (The Master), and Michelle Forbes (The Killing) are part of the cast for Dear Sidewalk, an independent comedy that has Davi Jay (Treme), Barry Tubb (Top Gun), and Roark Critchlow (Days of our Lives) signed to star. Jake Oelman is directing from a script by Jake Limbert, which follows “a young mail carrier who falls for a recently relocated divorcee on his route.

Puncture Trailer. Adam Kassen, Mark Kassen‘s Puncture (2011) movie trailer stars Chris Evans, Michael Biehn, Vinessa Shaw, Brett Cullen, and Marshall Bell. Puncture‘s plot synopsis: “Mike Weiss (Chris Evans) is a talented young Houston lawyer and a functioning drug addict. Paul Danziger (co-director Mark Kassen), his longtime friend and partner, is the straight-laced and responsible yin to Mike’s yang. Their mom-and-pop personal injury law firm is getting by, but things really get interesting when they decide to take on a case involving Vicky (Vinessa Shaw), a local ER nurse, who is pricked by a contaminated needle on the job. As Weiss and Danziger dig deeper into the case, a health care and pharmaceutical conspiracy teeters on exposure and heavyweight attorneys move in on the defense. Out of their league but invested in their own principles, the mounting pressure of the case pushes the two underdog lawyers and their business to the breaking point.
