Sergio Guerra's fondness for genre storytelling formed at an early age, the end result of too many impressionable "Twilight Zone" marathons. A San Francisco native, the award-winning Latine writer/director started making movies in high school using old family cameras, developing a particular affinity for the otherworldly graininess of Super 8. He honed his craft while attending New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.
His work includes "Murder Ballad," a Southern Gothic short that had its world premiere at the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival and its LA premiere at Screamfest; the horror comedy "Do You See It?" winner of Best Horror at the Hollywood Blood Horror Festival; "Home Invasion," an official selection in the Fantaspoa at Home contest; and the sci-fi short "Mad Machine," an official selection in the New York Latino Film Festival.
