A graduate from McGill University in Political Science and History, he manages the film and video production company CanyonGem Productions S.E.N.C. with his brother Pablo. Passionate about the art of storytelling and committed to capture the changing dynamics of the world in his works, he strives to continually strengthen his filmmaking skills and craft vital and engaging stories. His favorite film is Sergio Leone's "Once Upon a Time in the West" and he is also active as a creative and freelance writer.

  • He is related on his mother's side to the Canadian painter and sculptor Jean-Paul Riopelle.
  • He is 1/4 Spanish. His paternal grandfather was born in Pamplona in 1932; in 1936 he and his entire family had to flee Spain to escape persecution in the midst of the Spanish Civil War. Leaving the family home in the dead of night and rushing to San Sebastián, where they crossed the Bay of Biscay on a raft, they lived as refugees in the French countryside for several years before emigrating to Canada in 1953.
