Ninety-five members of the Writers Guild of America have signed a letter sent to the guild’s board of directors urging that it divest from gun companies and any companies that support the NRA.

The letter, sent to the Board Tuesday, warns “Gun violence enabled by the ready availability of military grade weapons, has become one of the biggest threats to the safety and security of the American people.” The letter continues, “We urge the WGA and the WGA Pension Plan to divest of all stocks of any gun or ammunition manufacturer, and any company that provides material support to the gun industry lobbying organization called The National Rifle Association, whether through donations, deductions or other means (e.g. Federal Express), until such time as sensible national gun reform legislation is passed.”

It is signed by 95 members of both WGA West and WGA East.

The Walking Dead producers Circle of Confusion will adapt the Image Comics series Sheltered.

Jesse Peyronel (Siren) is writing the screenplay based on Ed Brisson and Johnnie Christmas's title, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The 'pre-apocalyptic' tale centres around a group of families living in seclusion who anticipate the imminent destruction of North America by a powerful volcanic eruption.

They fail to account for a threat from within, which sees their children take control under the leadership of a charismatic, sociopathic teen.

Circle of Confusion is also adapting the upcoming comic series Outcast from Walking Dead co-creator Robert Kirkman.

Peyronel intends to direct Sheltered as well, with filming scheduled for late 2014.

According to THR, Jesse Peyronel, the filmmaker behind the indie movie Siren, is teaming up with The Walking Dead producers Circle of Confusion to adapt the Image Comics book Sheltered.

The comic is a pre-apocalyptic thriller set in a survivalist compound somewhere in the Pacific Northwest populated by families who believe an imminent volcanic eruption is about to make the U.S. uninhabitable for years. Yet, the adults are unprepared for a strike from within in the form of a coup d'etat by the kids, led by a charming sociopathic teen.

What follows is a struggle between two sets of young protagonists that is described as having shades of Lord of the Flies and The Hunger Games.

Tolga Ornek ("Labyrinth") is set to direct the recently acquired Alex Allrich spec script thriller "The Forger" for Fox International. The project may actually be filmed entirely in Turkish.

In its last few episodes Dracula has done what seemed impossible, especially after its meandering and somewhat disappointing first half season. The last three episodes have actually exceeded expectations, showing that things really aren’t as bad as they seemed. With its penultimate episode, “Four Roses”, Dracula has righted many of its early wrongs, starting with Grayson (the awesome Jonathan Rhys Meyers) declaring war on the Order.

Last week’s episode, “Come to Die”, was probably one of the freshman series’ best. Tightly wound and full of excellent plot twists that pushed the story forward, it was a great lead in to the even better “Four Roses”. ABC Family is developing a new show called 'Shadows' that would center on a secret Harvard program to develop young spies, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The show would feature the faculty and students -- a kind of Hogwarts for espionage.

'Shadows' was created by director Jesse Peyronel, whom the Reporter says will also serve as an executive producer. Peyronel sold the show 'Illuminati' to ABC last year, and wrote, directed and produced the short film 'Swimming Out to Holly,' which premiered at the Sundance Festival in 2001. He also optioned the Chuck Palahniuk novel 'Invisible Monsters' in 2002. The movie was not made.

ABC Family is developing a new series titled "Shadows," about a secret program at Harvard designed to train a new generation of spies.

The project was created by Jesse Peyronel, who will serve as an executive producer.

The show revolves around faculty and students involved in the spy program and represents one of several scripted shows the network has on its development slate.

Executive producers are George Tillman Jr., Matthew Pritzker and Robert Teitel of State Street along with co-creator Rene Rigal and Mal Young.

Peyronel sold the show "Illuminati" to ABC last year and wrote the short film "Swimming Out to Holly." He is repped by CAA and Generate.
