Shawn Hunt grew up in the suburbs of Charlotte, North Carolina, making
many backyard productions with his father's camcorder. By the late 90s,
filmmakers like John Carpenter and George Romero served as his
inspiration to go out and make his own brand of low budget independent
horror films. In 2002 he and friend David Passine created Funhouse
Pictures, a production company devoted to making horror films in the
Carolinas.
