Michael Flynn Is Suing The Government for $50 Million
Image
Former Trump National Security Advisor and retired US. Army Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn is suing the U.S. government on grounds of wrongful prosecution, according to a new legal filing obtained by Rolling Stone. He is seeking $50 million in damages.

The lawsuit stems from a 2016 FBI investigation during the Obama administration over Flynn’s suspected ties to Russia. In 2017, Flynn pled guilty to lying to the FBI regarding his association with Russian contacts. Shortly after the 2020 election, the former head of the Defense Intelligence Agency (Dia) received a pardon from Trump.

Trump Defends Putin as Biden Visits War-Torn Ukraine
Image
Donald Trump on Monday night touted his great relationship with Russian autocrat Vladimir Putin and defended his past assertion that he trusted the foreign leader over his own intelligence community.

“Putin never, ever would have gone into Ukraine if I were president,” Trump told supporters at a Florida rally. “I actually had a very good relationship” with Putin.

The former president spoke to a crowd of fans for a Club 45 event thrown at the Hilton Palm Beach Airport hotel on the night of Presidents’ Day.

“Remember when [the media] hit me with...

The Comey Rule Trailer: Brendan Gleeson Is Trump in Showtime Miniseries
Image
Showtime has now released the first teaser trailer for the upcoming miniseries The Comey Rule. The series follows the lawyer who went on to become the 7th director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, James Comey, played by Jeff Daniels, and his various run-ins with President Donald Trump, played by Brendan Gleeson.

While the trailer is short, it gives us a good idea of the kind of intense atmosphere that will no doubt continue throughout, as Comey is brought further and further into the increasingly dark corridors of power. It also shows off quite a lot of Brendan Gleeson as Donald Trump, with the actor's take on Trump's voice sinisterly hovering over the footage. Though his face is mostly hidden in the trailer, several images from the series have already been released showing the prosthetics that are being used to turn Gleeson into a disturbingly accurate version of the divisive President.

HBO has made it official: It has scrapped its in-the-works Game of Thrones spinoff from Jane Goldman. News of the project’s demise leaked earlier this week.

“After careful consideration, we have decided not to move forward to series with the untitled Game of Thrones prequel,” the premium cabler said in a statement late Friday. “We thank Jane Goldman, [fellow Ep] S.J. Clarkson, and the talented cast and crew for all of their hard work and dedication.”

James Comey CBS Studios Mini Sets Steven Pasquale As FBI Agent Peter Strzok, Oona Chaplin As Lawyer Lisa Page; Lovers’ Text Exchanges Riled Trump & Embarrassed Bureau
Exclusive: For those concerned that the 4-hour CBS Studios miniseries based on James Comey’s book A Higher Loyalty might be a glowing portrait of the ex-FBI Director fired by Donald Trump: the series will include the embarrassing incident where FBI agent Peter Strzok and FBI lawyer Lisa Page — who were reportedly engaged in an extramarital affair — exchanged texts when Strzok was spearheading the Russia probe that reportedly disparaged Trump and favored Hillary Clinton during the presidential elections. It was a major embarrassment to the bureau Comey oversaw.

Rescue Me‘s Steven Pasquale has just been set to play Strzok and Oona Chaplin (Game of Thrones) to play Page. They join Jeff Daniels (Comey), Brendan Gleeson (Trump), Holly Hunter (Acting Attorney General Sally Yates), Michael Kelly (Acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe), Jennifer Ehle (Patrice Comey), and Peter Coyote (Robert Mueller).

Billy Ray adapted and is directing the limited series,...

Oh Nothing, Just Trump Fantasizing About Executing ‘Spies’ Behind the Whistleblower Complaint
President Trump is not happy about the contents of the whistleblower complaint released to the public Thursday morning. He’s so mad, in fact, that he fantasized about a few rather extreme punishments for the people responsible.

The report includes several damning revelations, including details of how Trump pressured Ukraine to investigate a political rival, how the White House sought to cover up Trump’s July 25th call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, and how Rudy Giuliani and Attorney General William Barr became entangled in the efforts.

The whistleblower writes...

Washington D.C. Theater Cancels Controversial ‘FBI Lovebirds’ Production Citing Security Concerns
Phelim McAleer
The Washington D.C. theater originally set to host a one-night-only performance of Phelim McAleer’s FBI Lovebirds: Undercovers, starring Dean Cain and Kristy Swanson, has canceled the production due to “threats of violence.”

McAleer, in a statement, condemned the cancellation at the Mead Theatre as censorship and pledged “that the show will go on despite the left’s attempts to sabotage it by forcing the venue’s withdrawal so close to the event date.”

“We will get a venue,” said McAleer. “The staged reading will go ahead. It will be filmed and released online and everyone will get to see the truth about how the upper echelons of the FBI tried to subvert democracy. This censorship will not succeed.”

FBI Lovebirds is based on the anti-Trump text messages — to be read verbatim by the cast — of FBI attorney Lisa Page and former FBI agent Peter Strzok. Earlier this month,...

Fox News Host Jeanine Pirro Calls Conspiracy Against Trump “True Reality TV”
Fox News host Jeanine Pirro said on her Saturday evening show that viewers should “grab their popcorn,” as the anti-Trump conspiracy within the government is about to receive some backlash.

“They’re not going quietly into the night, ’twill be a joy to watch,” Pirro said in her opening segment of Justice With Judge Jeanine. “Grab your popcorn, Junior Mints or whatever makes you happy. The real show is about to begin. This will be true reality TV. No scripts, no rehearsals, just a gang of criminals pointing fingers at each other to save their own hides. A version of true crime and the reality show Survivor. The deep state exposed.”

Pirro claimed that nearly a dozen former and current FBI officials will hear a knock on the door soon, including former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, former FBI agent Peter Strzok and girlfriend Lisa Page, attorney James Baker, John Brennan,...

Defending Against Accusations of Russian Meddling, Trump Cites ‘All of the Different Things’
President Trump called into Hannity on Wednesday night for his first interview since Special Counsel Robert Mueller filed his final report to the Justice Department. It’s probably inaccurate to refer to this segment as an “interview.” The call, which lasted nearly 45 minutes, consisted mostly of Trump aimlessly cycling through issues with little intervention or pushback from the Fox News host, someone he counts as a friend and informal adviser.

The president has claimed, falsely, that he has been totally exonerated from any wrongdoing in the wake of the Mueller Report.

President Donald Trump Tweetstorm – The Saturday Edition
It’s a holiday weekend, and President Donald Trump undoubtedly has a light schedule. That leaves plenty of time for tweeting, and the Commander-in-Tweet is off to an early start.

So far, the President has rounded up a few of the usual suspects for his broadsides: the Mueller investigation and their apparent mishandling of some evidence; and the Democrat opposition, which apparently are fiddling while the government burns, at least according to Trump.

We’ll update as more tweets become available. The story so far:

“It turns out to be true now, that the Department of Justice and the FBI, under President Obama, rigged the investigation for Hillary and really turned the screws on Trump, and now it looks like in a corrupt & illegal way. The facts are out now. Whole Hoax exposed. @JesseBWatters

Trump Has Resumed That Whole Melting Down Over the Russia Investigation Thing
It’s been a while since Trump has railed against the Mueller investigation like we saw Thursday morning. “The inner workings of the Mueller investigation are a total mess,” the president tweeted 15 minutes after touting how “smoothly” the White House is running. “They have found no collusion and have gone absolutely nuts. They are screaming and shouting at people, horribly threatening them to come up with the answers they want. They are a disgrace to our nation and don’t…” *deep breath* “…care how many lives they ruin. These are Angry People,...

Donald Trump Tweet Storm: Universities Will Some Day Study “Witch Hunt Like No Other In American History!”
President Donald Trump took a break from blaming Gop midterm losses on voter fraud perpetrated by hat-and-shirt-switching criminals, to rail about Robert Mueller’s Russia probe, reports his wife embarrassed him into dumping John Bolton’s Deputy National Security Adviser, and his plans to sack his Homeland Security chief.

“The White House is running very smoothly and the results for our Nation are obviously very good,” Trump tweeted the morning after media reports he was upset with election results, angry about his disastrous trip to Paris, and generally “pissed – at damn near everyone” as CNN quoted a White House insider.

“We are the envy of the world,” Trump insisted. “But anytime I even think about making changes, the Fake News Media goes crazy, always seeking to make us look as bad as possible. Very dishonest!”

With midterm elections over, Mueller’s investigation has ramped back up. Trump, who last week...

President Donald Trump Tweetstorm – The Saturday Edition
President Donald Trump was back on the Twitter trail Saturday morning, unleashing his thoughts on the Charlottesville anniversary, minority unemployment, the FBI and “lovely Lisa Page.”

The president has plenty of time on his hands to add to his tweetstorm, as he has but one event on today’s schedule – a 2:30 meeting and photo op with bikers at his Bedminster estate. We will update as they happen.

The tweetstorm so far today:

I am proud to have fought for and secured the Lowest African American and Hispanic unemployment rates in history. Now I’m pushing for prison reform to give people who have paid their debt to society a second chance. I will never stop fighting for All Americans!

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 11, 2018

The riots in Charlottesville a year ago resulted in senseless death and division. We must come together as a nation. I condemn all types of racism and acts of violence.
