Big news has been revealed for Season 13 of Chicago P.D. following the recent exit of a major star. Last month, it was revealed that Toya Turner would not be returning as Kiana Cook in Season 13. Now, a replacement actress has been found.
Per Deadline, Arienne Mandi (The Night Agent) has just been cast as a series regular in Chicago P.D. Season 13, filling in the void left by Turner's departure. Mandi is playing the role of Naomi Kerr, described as a "former soldier and military contractor who is said to thrive in dangerous situations," as well as a "fearless outsider who keeps her cards close to the vest." However, it was also reported that this is tentative, as the character's name and other details could change.

The One Chicago franchise is a strange beast that's constantly in flux while simultaneously remaining as static and unchanged as you'd assume from a group of interconnected procedural dramas. NBC might cancel "Chicago Justice," a fan-favorite like Jesse Lee Soffer's Jay Halstead might leave "Chicago P.D.," and Scott Eastwood might depart the franchise before even truly establishing himself as part of it -- but all the while, the shows trudge on, with the first responders of the Windy City navigating their difficult jobs and personal lives.
Sometimes, the cast shake-ups the property has become known for are borne out of necessity when an actor wishes to leave- However, there are other times when a major character is simply written out of the series. Such was the case with Charlie Barnett's second-generation firefighter Peter Mills, who was a prominent part of the first three seasons of "Chicago Fire...

CBS is cutting the ranks of its FBI agents.
The network has canceled FBI: Most Wanted and FBI: International. The two shows will end their runs in the spring after six and four seasons, respectively. The flagship series, which is in the midst of a multiseason order taking it through the 2026-27 season, will remain at CBS.

"Prison Break" was one of the most popular shows of the early 00s, and recently got a second life thanks to streaming. It's a show that — like "24" and "Lost" — helped popularize serialized narratives in network TV. Instead of standalone episodes that made it easy for casual viewers to dip in and out, "Prison Break" told an ongoing story where every episode directly built up to the next one. This forced viewers to keep tuning in every single week expecting actual resolutions to the story.
The show follows two brothers, Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) and Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller), whose lives are upended after Lincoln is wrongfully accused of murdering the vice president's brother. When Lincoln is quickly sentenced to death and incarcerated in a high security prison, Michael takes it upon himself to commit armed robbery to get sentenced to the same prison as his brother. The “Prison Break” reboot in development is one step closer to freedom, landing a pilot order from Hulu.
The new iteration of the series, from “Mayans M.C.” co-creator and showrunner Elgin James and 20th Television, is not expected to feature the characters at the center of the original jailhouse drama, Michael Scofield (played by Wentworth Miller) and Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell). Rather, it will exist in the same universe as the original “Prison Break” but focus on a new crew of inmates.
James executive produces alongside Dawn Olmstead, “Prison Break” creator Paul Scheuring, Marty Adelstein and Neal Moritz. In addition to the “Sons of Anarchy” spinoff “Mayans,” James also co-created with Stephen Merchant the Amazon Studios/BBC One series “The Outlaws,” starring Christopher Walken.

Law & Order: Organized Crime season 5 must accomplish several changes to fix serious problems that are making the series more difficult to enjoy. The Christopher Meloni-led spinoff of Law & Order: Svu originally focused on Meloni's Elliot Stabler returning to New York and joining the Organized Crime Bureau so he could solve the murder of his wife. Since then, there have been frequent Law & Order: Organized Crime showrunner changes, leading to the series repeatedly reinventing itself.
Although Stabler is a big draw, Organized Crime has long struggled to achieve the large, passionate audience that the other shows in the franchise enjoy. Organized Crime season 5 will air on Peacock, which is meant to solve that problem. However, it is difficult to tell whether the move to Peacock will work, given continued production shake-ups and the lack of a confirmed release date halfway through the 2024-25 television season. Law & Order: Organized Crime premiered in April 2021 with the highly anticipated return of Christopher Meloni’s Detective Elliot Stabler, but a big change before season 5 puts the future of the show in question. The former partner of Olivia Benson during the first twelve seasons of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit returned to New York to investigate the murder of his wife as he joined the Organized Crime task force. The series also explores Stabler’s relationship with his family, including his mother and children.
Organized Crime sets itself apart from other Law & Order shows, including the original and Svu, by focusing more on Stabler’s personal life. The multi-episode cases also give the series the cinematic feel of an action crime drama epic. Law & Order: Organized Crime will return for season 5, but this time on Peacock due to low ratings on NBC last season but stronger viewership on streaming.

The popular drama “Law & Order: Organized Crime” enters its fifth season, navigating another key leadership shift and preparing for a major network changeover.
The series, featuring Christopher Meloni as Detective Elliot Stabler, is filming its ten-episode season. John Shiban has stepped down as showrunner, marking the show’s sixth leadership change since its premiere in 2021. Law & Order: Organized Crime season 5 continues to progress despite the exit of its most recent showrunner. The Law & Order: Svu spinoff, starring Christopher Meloni as Detective Elliot Stabler, follows the veteran cop's return to the NYPD as part of the Organized Crime Task Force. The series is known for its darker, serialized storytelling, distinguishing itself from the broader Law & Order franchise. While the show has undergone several showrunner changes since its 2021 debut, Law & Order: Organized Crime season 5 is being developed for Peacock, marking a transition from its previous home on NBC.
According to Deadline, production on Law & Order: Organized Crime's fifth season is halfway complete, though the series currently lacks a showrunner. Recent seasons have been led by a string of showrunners such as Barry OBrien and Sean Jablonski, with David Graziano overseeing various episodes. Most recently, Ozark veteran John Shiban guided the show through its fourth season.

In the days of high-concept television, Fox had its own answer to shows like ABC's philosophical mystery show, Lost. In 2005, the network aired Prison Break, a series that would go on to originally have four seasons. Starring Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell, the series follows structural engineer Michael (Miller), who purposefully goes to prison so he can break his brother Lincoln (Purcell) out before he is executed for a crime he didn't commit. While this series may have been better implemented as a feature film, the series changed up the seasons every year and included a revolving cast of interesting characters.
Season 2 introduces FBI Agent Alexander Mahone, played by the incomparable William Fichtner, who would stay throughout the entirety of the series. But when Prison Break was revitalized for Season 5 in 2017, the fascinating character was nowhere to be found. Mahone left a gaping hole where his integral character once was.

The following contains major spoilers from FBI: International Season 4, Episode 1, "A Leader, Not a Tourist," which debuted Tuesday, Oct. 15 on CBS.
The FBI: International Season 4 premiere welcomes Jesse Lee Soffer to the game -- and it also looks to completely change the flavor of the first FBI spinoff. Soffer and showrunner Matt Olmstead combine for an episode that takes the Fly Team in a direction that it might not have gone with Luke Kleintank's Scott Forrester in charge. Of course, that's the point of bringing in a new leader, but how excited fans are about this change of pace may vary.
"A Leader, Not a Tourist" is mostly about Soffer's character Wesley "Wes" Mitchell, a Los Angeles Police Department veteran turned FBI agent who travels to Budapest on the trail of a foreign-based robbery crew. The episode reveals Wes's past with Fly Team member Cameron Vo, and explores both...

Chicago P.D. fans knew Jesse Lee Soffer as Jay Halstead for the first ten seasons of the law enforcement drama. He exited the show in the tenth season as his character left the unit and the country. However, Lee Soffer will pop up in another show by Chicago P.D. producer Dick Wolf. The move seems almost lateral, even though his new character is a boss for FBI: International's Fly Team.
