  • On Broadway (May 08, 1962-Aug 29, 1964), the actress whom she replaced in the role of Philia in "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum" was Karen Black.
  • She worked for almost a decade at Dixie Canyon Elementary School in Sherman Oaks starting in 1996 as a special-education assistant.
  • Born in Chicago but grew up with her two sisters in Maplewood, New Jersey, not far from New York City. Her father gave her the nickname Preshy, which was short for Precious. After attending Vassar College, she toured as a singer with Fred Waring and His Pennsylvanians in 1954 and 1955, then joined The Four Martins, a vocal quartet led by songwriter Hugh Martin, who co-wrote "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," "The Boy Next Door" and "The Trolley Song" for the 1944 Hollywood classic Meet Me in St. Louis (1944). She and Martin remained in contact throughout their lives.
