Ethan Nadelmann Reexamines Adult Drug Use in New Podcast ‘Psychoactive’
Image
There are countless podcasts that strike a contrarian pose or promise a mind-expanding journey; few fulfill the promise. But Psychoactive, a new podcast on drugs hosted by Ethan Nadelmann, delivers — in spades.

Nadelmann founded, and for decades ran, the Drug Policy Alliance, an anti-Drug War nonprofit, before stepping down in 2017. (Rolling Stone profiled Nadelmann as he helped lead the battle to legalize marijuana in the 2013.) Marijuana Legalized In Oregon & Washington, D.C.
Oregon, Alaska and Washington, D.C. residents voted to legalize marijuana at the ballot box on Tuesday.

Marijuana Legalization

Oregon, Alaska and Washington, D.C. joined Washington State and Colorado as states that are loosening up their laws on the possession of marijuana.

"The pace of reform is accelerating, other states are sure to follow, and even Congress is poised to wake from its slumber."

While Oregon and Alaska were nice wins for marijuana activists, the win in the District of Colombia, the nation’s capitol, could be even more meaningful. The issue of marijuana legalization will be a hard one to ignore when it's so close to lawmakers.

Bill O’Reilly Debates Against Marijuana Legalization On Behalf Of Abused Children
A couple of weeks ago, the Drug Policy Alliance, an organization funded by George Soros and dedicated to fixing our nation's drug laws (particularly the laws prohibiting marijuana), released a PSA featuring Sting and Montell Williams. We've already gotten Megyn Kelly and John Stossel's views on the subject (he's for the repeal, she isn't), so, last night, it was time for Bill O'Reilly to voice his opinion. He brought Ethan Nadelmann, the Dpa's founder, on for what turned out to be a pretty interesting debate.
