"When I signed on to do the series, [that] we would have a starting point, and they gave me the end point," Moten said. "That endpoint hasn’t changed, but it is, Season 5, Season 6, type of endpoint.We've always known that we're going to take our time with the development of the characters."

It’ll be a while until viewers return to the apocalyptic wasteland in Prime Video’s Fallout, but, nevertheless, Walton Goggins is providing an update to the second season of the breakout drama.

Speaking to Deadline at the red carpet premiere of The White Lotus Season 3, The Righteous Gemstones alum promised a bigger and better Season 2.

“We’re in the middle of filming it right now, we’ve been at it since November, and I can tell you that I thought Season 1 was extraordinary, personally, I was very pleased with it,” he said. “This blows it out of the water, what these writers have done and the artisans that have come together to tell this story. It’s really gonna be something. I can’t wait for people to see it. We’re working really hard to make that happen.”

Ella Purnellwas a guest at Mega Con Orlando this weekend, where the actor was part of a panel that discussed her roles in shows such as Arcane, Yellowjackets, Sweetpea, and, of course, Fallout, in which she plays Vault Dweller Lucy. When Fallout Season 1 premiered on Amazon Prime Video in April 2024, newcomers and veteran fans welcomed the live-action adaptation of the nuclear world with open arms. Created by Graham Wagner and Geneva Robertson-Dworet and executive produced by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, the eight-episode first season received rave reviews from audiences and critics.

The video game adaptation managed to remain faithful to the source material of the video games both in its thematic elements and in its impressive production design while also not alienating those unfamiliar with the games it's based on. After the exciting conclusion of the first season, Fallout is set to return for a second season at an unspecified date.

Fallout was one of the most successful TV shows last year in 2024 and has become the second most-watched show on Amazon Prime Video. The show surpassed 100 million total views and is confirmed to be getting a second season.

What may also be confirmed is one of the locations set to feature in the upcoming season. Fallout Season 2 will take place in New Vegas, based on new BTS photos. Shared in a Reddit post, the leak revealed two icons from Bethesda's Fallout: New Vegas - the Welcome to Fabulous New Vegas sign and The Tops Hotel & Casino entrance. The Season 1 cliffhanger teased that's where Hank MacLean went, and also where Lucy and The Ghoul are headed. New Vegas has divided franchise fans, however, and there was debate over its place in the lore. Bethesda Studio Design Director Emil Pagliarulo confirmed the game is canon, prompting sleuths to point out timeline discrepancies in the show.

The 2025 WGA Awards nomination announcement was delayed a week due to the devastating fires that hit Los Angeles and scorched more than 40,000 acres. TV’s best scribes are getting their moment in the spotlight: The Writers Guild of America West (Wgaw) and Writers Guild of America East (Wgae) have announced nominations for the 2025 Writers Guild Awards ceremony, which is to be held Saturday, Feb. 15.

The TV nominees include a number of first-timers, including the final season of Paramount+’s supernatural drama Evil, HBO’s Batman spinoff The Penguin and freshman series like Prime Video’s Fallout and FX’s Shōgun. Of course, usual suspects like Hacks, The Bear and Abbott Elementary are all present and accounted for as well.

As a fan of long-form content and storytelling, I find it interesting to see where the wind is blowing with regard to storytelling. The streaming service bubble is slowly beginning to burst. Auteurs and studios being given carte blanche is now becoming a thing of the past, and the older television model of storytelling is slowly being favored as budgets begin to be slashed. The sureshot bets stumbled hard, with Indian content especially exhibiting its weakest year yet. But amidst all that, the strongest shows stem from the stalwarts, while miniseries led by singular visions manage to stand out once again. As always, whittling down to the 10 best TV shows of 2024, and having missed out on a couple of interesting ones (“Pachinko” Season 2), or dropped due to sheer boredom, is quite hard to do, but one must be ruthless.

It has been officially confirmed by Deadline that the production of Fallout Season 2 has hit a snag due to strong winds and a wildfire near Santa Clarita. Filming was originally set to resume tomorrow, but now it’s been pushed to Friday as a precaution.

The show, produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Kilter Films, films in Santa Clarita, a region known for its windy conditions. The city was hit with a brush fire north of town just yesterday, causing additional concerns.
