Showrunner Elwood Reid Unpacks Who Colter and Reenie’s Romantic Interests Are in 'Tracker’ Season 3
Image
Family secrets and missing people are the bread and butter of the Justin Hartley-led CBS procedural, Tracker. The beloved procedural does, however, take some time out for matters of the heart, as seen in Season 1 and in the first episodes of its sophomore season, as Hartley's Shaw reignites his relationship with Gina Picket's sister, Camille (Floriana Lima). Colter has also, throughout the show's two seasons, had a very clear, emotional connection with Fiona Rene's Reenie. While the pair are yet to explore a romance between themselves, they've been involved with others. Looking ahead to Season 3, showrunner Elwood Reid has discussed the potential direction romance takes for these two beloved characters.

Speaking with Screen Rant, Reid was quizzed regarding Colter and his lack of a partner, and if it benefits the show at this point. "I think it's hard because I don't know if people judge or not,...

Will Leo Sharf Still Be Bothering Reenie in ‘Tracker’ Season 3? Showrunner Weighs In
Image
One of the major shakeups early on in Tracker Season 2 saw Fiona Rene's Reenie Greene quit her job and start up her own firm. This meant a new space and, of course, new clients as well. It also allowed Reenie the opportunity to work out in the field with Justin Hartley's Colter on occasion. One of Reenie's new clients is the mysterious Leo Sharf (Pej Vahdat), who smelt like trouble from the very first moment. Ultimately, the ruthless businessman did bring that perceived danger to Reenie's doorstep in Season 2's penultimate episode, with Reenie's life severely threatened. While the season finale was mainly about Colter and his discovery at Echo RIdge, the episode checked in on Reenie, who is still visibly shaken from her ordeal but apparently, is still in the employ of Leo. Why could that possibly be?

Kidnapped and staring down the barrel of a gun,...

"What Does Her World Look Like?": ‘Tracker’ Season 3 Will Explore Reenie Further
Image
The second season of Tracker has completed its run and with its season finale came an earth-shattering revelation regarding the circumstances behind the death of Ashton Shaw (Lee Tergesen). It is a moment that negatively impacted the Shaw family in the Justin Hartley-led CBS procedural. The drama has been renewed for a third season and while Hartley's Colter and his siblings will have to deal with this new piece of information somehow, the upcoming season will also look to flesh out another character. Fiona Rene's Reenie Greene has been a mainstay since the series premiered in 2024. Despite working as legal counsel for Colter and their occasional romantic tension, not much has been revealed about the character. Showrunner Elwood Reid reveals that is all about to change in Season 3.

Reid, in an interview with ScreenRant, was quizzed about whether Velma Bruin (Abby McEnany) would have a bigger role...

Justin Hartley and Melissa Roxburgh in ‘Tracker’ season 2 episode 19

Melissa Roxburgh returns as Colter’s sister, Dory, on CBS’s Tracker season two episode 19. Roxburgh only appears for a few minutes, with Dory passing along a mysterious box of their dad’s. Dory doesn’t think there’s anything important inside, but Colter (Justin Hartley) recalls their dad always thought someone was trying to steal his ideas. He’d lost his academic credibility, but Colter thinks something in his research might have gotten him killed.

Their dad was a genius, but Dory points out that he was losing his mind toward the end.

Reenie (Fiona Rene) calls and asks Colter to come to Seattle because an assistant to her client Leo Sharf is missing. Before he leaves, Dory asks Colter not to obsess over the items in their dad’s box.

Is Reenie and Colters Romance Over After 'Tracker's Latest Episode?
Image
Sometimes. Everyone can see the proverbial sparks flying except, perhaps, for the two individuals involved. However, it hardly seems to be the case between Colter Shaw (Justin Hartley) and Reenie Green (Fiona Rene) as the pair seem well aware of their mutual interest in one another. Despite the pair's messy history being made known in Season 1 of Tracker, romance has failed to bloom. In this week's episode, titled Noble Rot, Colter and Reenie team up to solve the case of a missing woman. The case comes up while Reenie is away on a retreat with her plus one, Elliott Rush (Michael Rady). So what does this mean for a Colter-Reenie romance going forward?...

Image
[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Tracker Season 2 Episode 4 “Noble Rot.”] Tracker introduced a messy history between rewardist Colter (Justin Hartley) and lawyer Reenie (Fiona Rene) in the first episode, and since then, it’s been a question of will they/won’t they—but at the same time, neither is waiting around. At the end of “Noble Rot,” Reenie remarks that she can really count on Colter, especially with work, and he says he hopes Elliot knows how lucky he is. Is that sort of closing the door on anything happening between Reenie and Colter, at least for now? “He’s known that I have been open and available and interested, and he’s been so shut off to it. The Baffling Filmography of Robert Shinn from Netflix’s 7M TikTok Cult Documentary
Image
Not much is publicly known about Robert Shinn, the elusive and mysterious founder of 7M Films and the pastor of Shekinah Church – as seen in Netflix docuseries Dancing for the Devil: The 7M TikTok Cult. Indeed, Shinn seems to prefer to stick to the background and let the talent assembled by his agency get all of the attention.

Founded by Shinn and son Isaiah Shinn, 7M Films is not the biggest talent agency in the world, or the most successful, but it might be one of the most viral. 7M traditionally has not been looking to boost working actors to new heights, but to tap into a talented community of self-motivated dancers, singers, musicians, and performers who have the skills necessary to go viral on TikTok with a little help from 7M. However, viral videos and brand partnerships aren’t Robert Shinn’s first attempt at getting a taste of Hollywood glory.

‘Melrose Place’ Revival in Development at CBS Studios
Melrose Place (1992)
A revival of ’90s hit “Melrose Place” is in the works at CBS Studios, with original stars Heather Locklear, Daphne Zuniga and Laura Leighton set to return, TheWrap has learned.

The Darren Star-created night-time soap followed the complicated lives of several 20-somethings who lived in a Los Angeles apartment complex called Melrose Place, where the drama included a bombing, a drowning and a “Dynasty”-esque pool fight.

Locklear played advertising exec Amanda Woodward, whose addition to the show late in the first season helped boost ratings at the time. Zuniga played Jo Reynolds on the series from 1992 to 1999 while Leighton played Sydney Andrews, sister of Josie Bassett’s character Jane.

Lauren Gussis of “Dexter” and “Insatiable” fame is set to write and executive produce the revival, which would see the “Og residents” returning when one of their friends die. Per the logline, the reunion “uncovers old traumas, rekindles old romances,...

Screambox Serves Up a Holiday Feast With ‘Secret Santa’, ‘Night of the Missing’, ‘Santastein’ and More!
Image
Tis the season to be scary and Screambox has got you covered with a trio of brand-spanking-new Christmas-themed horror movies that go perfectly with cookies and milk in front of a warm fire.

Now streaming on Screambox from the director of Jason Goes to Hell is Secret Santa and the awesomely creepy anthology Night of the Missing.

That’s not all! Just in time for Christmas break, Santastein will make the long winter’s nights anything but silent on Dec. 19.

Since Black Christmas, holiday films have been a refreshing sub-genre within horror. These films offer a much-needed contrast to the “all is well” narrative that is so often depicted in seasonal films. The angst and anxiety of holiday horror offer a cathartic release because for many the holidays are not perfect, and we don’t see ourselves in the yuletide rom-coms.

In fact, Screambox has more than stocking stuffers, with...

30-Year-Old Friday The 13th Gore Effect Makes Surprise Cameo In New Horror Movie
Image
A makeup effect from Jason Goes to Hell made a surprise cameo in director Adam Marcus' 2018 movie Secret Santa. The director still had old makeup from the Friday the 13th movie and decided to reuse it to create a $10,000 effect for Michael Rady's death scene in Secret Santa. Marcus noted Rady's resemblance to his brother Kipp Marcus, who played Officer Randy Parker in Jason Goes to Hell.

It has been revealed that a makeup effect from Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday made a surprise reappearance decades later. The 1993 movie, which was directed by Adam Marcus, was the ninth entry in the Friday the 13th slasher franchise. It featured the iconic killer Jason Voorhees revealing the heretofore unseen power of transferring his soul into new bodies and continuing his Crystal Lake rampage anew while possessing various people across town as he pursues his last remaining family members...

Exclusive Interview: ‘Jason Goes to Hell’ Director Adam Marcus Talks ‘Secret Santa’ and What’s Next
Image
Horror fans will recognize Adam Marcus as the director of Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday and the co-writer of Texas Chainsaw 3D, two divisive but oft-discussed entries in their respective franchises. He recently returned to the genre to helm Secret Santa, a holiday horror-comedy streaming exclusively on Screambox.

The final installment in our three-part interview with the raconteur focuses on Secret Santa and the trials and tribulations of independent filmmaking. He also teases several projects that are in the works, including a monstrous collaboration with special effects legend Robert Kurtzman.

Secret Santa was born out of Marcus and his writing partner/wife Debra Sullivan’s frustration with the lack of creative control they had on their two previously produced screenplays, 2013’s Texas Chainsaw and 2015’s Momentum. “Artistically, it just started to feel really hollow. I was like, ‘Did I get into this to make money, or did I...

‘Secret Santa’ – Unwrapping the ‘Jason Goes to Hell’ Director’s Christmas Horror Comedy
Image
The frightful weather outside has nothing on the family gathering in Secret Santa. Adam Marcus, who is best known for unleashing the gonzo Friday the 13th entry Jason Goes to Hell upon the world, truly outdid himself with this over-the-top Christmas horror movie. Which is saying a lot considering the events of Jason Voorhees’ sole ‘90s outing. After some time away from the genre, though, Marcus returned in 2018 with a comedy as black as coal. Christmas cynics will naturally be drawn to the promise of a family going off the deep end during the holidays. However, this seasonal shocker may prove to be too much even for the biggest of scrooges.

For many folks, Christmas is the most joyous time of the year. For April Pope (A. Leslie Kies) and other members of her family, it’s the most dreadful. The director’s own internal struggle with Christmas is channeled...

Screambox Serves Up a Holiday Feast With ‘Secret Santa’, ‘Night of the Missing’, and ‘Santastein’!
Image
In case you missed it earlier this week… Tis the season to be scary, as Bloody Disgusting announces the acquisition of three new holiday horror titles for the Screambox streaming service – Secret Santa, Night of the Missing, and Santastein will make the long winter’s nights anything but silent!

We’re thrilled to be releasing these films because they offer something for everyone; whether you want to laugh, scream or just have fun, you can find it on Screambox!

Secret Santa

The first of the three films we’re unwrapping is Secret Santa,...

The 40 films will air on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 8 p.m. Et, with additional features also airing every Thursday on the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel, with a few exceptions. Hallmark first began airing its Countdown to Christmas movies in...

Hallmark Announces 40-Title Holiday Movie Slate Not Impacted By Strikes
Image
Hallmark has revealed that it will have 40 all-new, original movies for both its flagship channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, as well as special content for Hallmark Movies Now, the company’s subscription streaming service.

Even though the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes impacted TV and film productions, Hallmark anticipated the labor dispute by getting a head start on production in Canada. “Christmas is a year-round business at Hallmark, so we were able to mitigate early in the year understanding that the strikes were unfortunately imminent,” Lisa Hamilton Daly, EVP of programming at Hallmark Media, was recently quoted as saying. “We’re grateful to meet all our goals for a full, all-new holiday slate and to bring our viewers the content they love most to celebrate the season.”

Holiday programming kicks off Friday, Oct. 20 with the channel’s Countdown to Christmas and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries’ Miracles of Christmas.

Jay Hernandez and Perdita Weeks in Magnum P.I. (2018)
Magnum P.I. Season 5B: Cast, Release Date, Plot, and Everything Else We Know
Jay Hernandez and Perdita Weeks in Magnum P.I. (2018)
Regarding the return of Magnum P.I., it's a good news-bad news situation for fans.

Let's go with the good news first. Unlike many scripted programs, the second half of the NBC series' fifth season will return on Oct. 4, earlier than was previously announced.

The bad news is that these episodes are likely the end for the Magnum reboot. After saving the show following its cancellation by CBS, NBC managed to run it into the ground before canceling it yet again. Yup, it's been that kind of season for Magnum.

Here's everything we know about the probable Magnum final ride.

Has Magnum P.I. been renewed?

No, sadly, just the opposite. It's been a roller-coaster couple of years for those involved with Magnum.

For four seasons, the Jay Hernandez-starrer was a pretty sturdy performer for CBS. Granted, ratings expectations for Friday prime-time are a fairly low bar.

In May 2022, CBS shockingly...

Magnum P.I.: Jay Hernandez Talks New Season 5 Threat, 'Great' Backstory It Will Reveal — Plus, Grade the Premiere
Image
The following contains spoilers from the first two episodes of Magnum P.I. Season 5 on NBC.

Magnum P.I. this Sunday night kicked off its NBC run with, yes, steamy shower smooching and extra-flirty banter between the newly coupled Thomas and Juliet. We also saw that Katsumoto, though at first resigned to being sidelined at the Hpd (and replaced with Michael Rady’s Det. Childs), has instead decided to fight for his job; Kumu will be helping out at La Mariana as Rick juggles fatherhood; and said new dad is now crashing as Magnum’s place, until he can close on a new,...

15 Best Winter-Themed Hallmark Movies, Ranked By IMDb
Image
The Hallmark Channel is best known for its Christmas movies, but there are a huge number of non-holiday, winter-themed offerings in their lineup. The latter is a great reminder that Christmas is not the only thing that makes winter a magical season.

It may be cold outside, but these Hallmark movies will warm anyone's heart, and provide plenty to appreciate before spring arrives. So grab a warm blanket, make some hot cocoa, and don't forget slippers.

Updated on December 24, 2022 by Aya Tsintziras: The line-up of 2022 Hallmark Christmas movies is just as sweet and festive as ever, but fans of the channel shouldn't forget the many movies that are set during the wintertime. There are several New Year's Eve movies, including 2021's A New Year's Resolution starring Aimee Teegarden and Michael Rady. These movies are worth watching for the chemistry between couples and the romantic settings. From a writer visiting a...

Magnum P.I. Season 5 Casts Michael Rady
Michael Rady
When Magnum P.I. jumps to NBC later this season, Michael Rady will be along for the ride.

TV Line reported Monday that the Timeless, Melrose Place, and Chicago Med veteran would be a part of the highly-anticipated fifth season.

The outlet states that he will play Detective Childs of the Honolulu Pd in a recurring capacity.

Rady is a popular actor who has appeared in many beloved projects, so there is undoubtedly a lot of excitement about his role on the CBS-turned-nbc procedural.

Magnum P.I. was canceled by CBS earlier this year, despite commanding strong ratings (to the tune of 7.3 million viewers and a 0.7 rating) on Fridays.

The numbers were relatively stable vs. its previous season, but the show was not owned by CBS.

“Every year, there’s a couple of tough ones, and this was one of them,” CBS president Kelly Kahl told The Wrap following the controversial decision.

SNL Video: Nicole Kidman's AMC Ad Attracts a Literal Cult Following
Image
Even if you’ve never once set foot in a movie theater, you probably know about AMC’s Nicole Kidman ad. It’s a spot so serious — so wildly self-important — that it’s taken on a life of its own. Shot by an Oscar nominee, written by an Oscar nominee and starring a one-time winner walking in the rain, it’s practically begging for a Saturday Night Live parody. This weekend, it finally got one.

The sketch might be a little late; the ad first appeared over a year ago. It’s been hashed and rehashed online countless times. Tweets have been shared,...

The first rule of comedy is make fun of yourself before anyone else can and, in the season opener of NBC’s Saturday Night Live, they did just that.

With the loss of seven cast members and the addition of four unknown quantities (two stand-ups, a comic actor, and a TV writer), the show’s first cold open of Season 48 went full metacomedy.

Inside La Brea's Prosthetic Leg Drama: 'Izzy Is Having a Very Difficult Time'
Image
NBC’s La Brea opened Season 2 this week by unleashing fresh drama in the form of, yes, a new tribe of jackholes and a pair of warring rhinos. But it also caught viewers off-guard with a personal predicament for Izzy Harris, who is an amputee.

In the course of hoofing it from (what she, Gavin and Ella thought was) Seattle circa 10,000 B.C. to Los Angeles, Calif., Izzy lost her footing, and in doing so accidentally put enough pressure on her left leg prosthetic to make the socket crack.
