My Chemical Romance Salutes Bon Jovi With a ‘Livin’ On a Prayer’ Cover
Image
Although it doesn’t appear to be a contractual obligation, it sometimes seems as if any major act playing New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium has to acknowledge the setting. Both Coldplay and Zach Bryan brought out Bruce Springsteen during recent shows there, and this weekend, My Chemical Romance continued the tradition by covering what frontman Gerard Way referred to as “what may be the New Jersey state anthem”: Bon Jovi’s “Livin’ on a Prayer.”

At the band’s show Saturday, part of its Long Live the Black Parade Tour,...

In this moment, with a jam-packed stadium of fans screaming the song’s emotional bridge back to My Chemical Romance, they are undoubtedly the saviors of the broken,...

Epic New Biopic Footage Brings to Life the Band That Soundtracked the Fall of the Berlin Wall
Image
Production on the upcoming biopic of German rockers The Scorpions is rocking like a hurricane. Wind of Change, which was first announced last month, is already filming, and the band has just released a first look at footage from the film on their Instagram account. The film, which will star The Crown's Dominic West and Star Trek: Picard's Ed Speleers, is expected to be released later this year.

In the first-look footage, the band, including lead guitarist Matthias Jabs (Speleers), notes that their distinctive band name came about because they're "like the Beatles, but more dangerous." It goes on to show off the band's formative years, in war-torn post-wwii Germany, and highlights their desire to be "the new generation of Germans." It showcases their rise to stardom, until they're filling massive stadiums and becoming hits on both sides of the Iron Curtain: their manager Doc McPhee (West) dubs them "heroes of Leningrad.

What Surviving Cancer at Age Four Taught Me
Image
The headaches began a week before diagnosis. I’d had migraines as a toddler, but these were worse – and each night, the fevers were brutal. I’m talking windburn bad, 104 degrees, the kind that full-strength Advil didn’t touch. Then my little stomach started to swell. I was four years old then, in the spring of 2011. My extended family had flown in to New York City from Lebanon for a wedding. It was my mom’s dad who first took note of my belly and insisted I get it checked.

Millie Bobby Brown Pregnant: The Rumor & The Truth
Image
Reading Time: 3 minutes

Millie Bobby Brown announcing “we’re pregnant” was not on many people’s bingo cards.

Just one year ago, she married Jake Bongiovi.

Fans and critics agree that Mbb has grown up very quickly after her meteoric rise to fame as a child actress.

But is she really pregnant? Or are people taking her “we’re pregnant!” announcement out of context?

Millie Bobby Brown makes an announcement on a talk show in 2025. (Image Credit: CBS) Yes, Millie Bobby Brown is a grown adult

While many would argue that being an actual “grown-up” starts more around 30, Millie Bobby Brown is an adult woman.

Born in February 2004, she is now a 21-year-old woman who is allowed to drink, style herself however she likes (and no matter what critics say), and marry.

In April of 2023, she announced her engagement to Jake Bongiovi. On May 27 of the following year, they tied the knot.

Jin’s Rock-Star Dreams Are Big and Bold on ‘Echo’

Jin has always been his own kind of romantic within the BTS universe, with his own style. This is the guy you go to for epic swoon-worthy love songs about space travel through the cosmos of the heart, in classics like “Epiphany” and “Moon.” (Especially “Moon.”) He summed up his sound with his official solo debut single “The Astronaut,” his 2022 duet with Coldplay, where he kept hitting high notes from outer space. (But still — especially “Moon.” What a song, right?) Jin pushes his signature style even further with Echo, his new 7-song EP,...

Jon Bon Jovi Dead? Here’s What We Know About the Trending Rumors
Image
Jon Bon Jovi is dead is the latest rumor that’s been ravaging the internet in recent days. So basically he’s the latest celebrity to be targeted by this form of internet lunacy where famous people go to die… virtually, at least.

In the real world, they’re usually fine. But in Bon Jovi’s case, his death news was more than just a stupid little rumor. Here’s what caused it.

Why Do People Think Jon Bon Jovi Is Dead

Jon Bon Jovi is not dead. Let’s say that and just get it out of the way. What we’ve been seeing online is merely the product of mass confusion, and even hysteria if you should dive deeper.

The obituary that sparked these rumors actually belonged to a Greek-American artist who made cover art for Bon Jovi’s albums, Loannis Vasilopoulos.

Following his death on April 7, the...

Billy the Kid meets Pancho Villa in Young Guns 3: Dead or Alive
Brushy Bill Roberts
Back in 1949 / ’50, a man called Brushy Bill Roberts claimed to be the legendary Wild West outlaw known as Billy the Kid, having reached the age of 90. There was a lot of evidence to back up his claim and he had the support of people who were known to have associated with Billy the Kid, but the authorities discredited him. One person who believes that Brushy Bill Roberts was Billy the Kid is Emilio Estevez, who played Billy the Kid in the 1988 Western Young Guns and its 1990 sequel Young Guns II (where he also put on old age makeup to play a couple scenes as Brushy Bill). That’s how Estevez is able to move forward with Young Guns 3: Dead or Alive, a project he has been developing with John Fusco, the writer of the Young Guns films, since 2019. Last month, it was confirmed that Young Guns 3 has secured a...

NJ Mayor Seeks to Close Jon Bon Jovi’s Restaurant That Helps the Homeless
Image
Jon Bon Jovi’s efforts to fight hunger and homelessness have earned him praise for years — but not everyone is impressed. In Toms River, New Jersey, a new pop-up location of his nonprofit restaurant, Jbj Soul Kitchen, is at the center of growing controversy.

The Soul Kitchen’s Mission and Success

The rock icon and his wife, Dorothea, co-founded the Jbj Soul Foundation in 2006, with a mission to tackle systemic issues like food insecurity and homelessness. Their solution wasn’t just charitable donations — it was innovative action.

In 2011, they opened their first Jbj Soul Kitchen, a nonprofit community restaurant designed to welcome guests from all walks of life.

The model is simple yet impactful: customers can pay for their meals at a suggested rate (currently $12), and those who can’t afford it are encouraged to volunteer their time in exchange for a hot meal. Patrons are also invited to “pay...

Jake Bongiovi and Millie Bobby Brown decided that the Miami Open wasn’t just about tennis, it was also a prime opportunity for some over-the-top Pda. The young couple who were seated cozily between his famous parents, Jon Bon Jovi and Dorothea Hurley, turned up the romance dial, much to the awkward dismay of their VIP box companions.

Pda Overload, Parents Beware

Jake, 22, gazed adoringly at Millie, 21, before diving in for a smooch, while she wrapped herself around his arms like a love-struck koala. Meanwhile, Jon Bon Jovi, the rock legend himself, found something more interesting to look at, and Dorothea, well, she might have been rethinking her decision to come at all.

Kid Rock Storms Off Stage During Birthday Celebration: 'F--k Y'all'
Image
Kid Rock is taking an early exit.

The 54-year-old rock star briefly joined Bon Jovi rocker David Bryan in a birthday celebration on Saturday (February 8) in Nashville, but left the stage before finishing his song after repeatedly scolding the crowd for not clapping.

The Bon Jovi musician turned 63 over the weekend, and celebrated with a party and performance at Jbj’s Nashville, owned by bandmate Jon Bon Jovi.

Keep reading to find out more…

Kid Rock joined the musician onstage in a surprise appearance, singing “Proud Mary” by Creedence Clearwater Revival.

Two minutes into the performance, he stopped singing and asked the band to pause and told the crowd to clap, demonstrating how they should do it.

“F— them. F— them. Hey, hey, stop. If you ain’t gonna clap, we ain’t gonna sing. That’s how it’s gonna go,” he said in footage posted by a fan.

Kid Rock Storms Off Stage After Audience Doesn’t Clap
Image
Kid Rock cut short a performance in Nashville when the audience didn’t clap enough, leading to a petulant outburst from the “American Bad Ass.”

The most awkward part is that it wasn’t even Kid Rock’s own show: He was appearing as a special guest at the birthday bash for Bon Jovi keyboardist David Bryan, which was being held Saturday (February 8th) at Jon Bon Jovi’s bar in downtown Nashville.

Rock’s appearance came during a cover of Creedence Clearwater Revival’s “Proud Mary.” As seen in audience footage, Rock, who sounds like he may have enjoyed a few adult beverages, momentarily stopped the performance due to the lack of participation from the crowd. He didn’t like the fact that they weren’t clapping along.

“F**k them. F**k them. Hey, hey, stop,” he said as he lightly shoved aside...

‘Ladies & Gentlemen… 50 Years of SNL Music’ Is a Spectacular, Definitive History of the Most Influential Music Stage in America: TV Review
Image
No matter how a person might feel about “Saturday Night Live”’s jokes or cast or host choices, there’s absolutely no denying that for the better part of the last half century, it has been the most consistently powerful platform in America for musicians, whether they’re superstars, rising stars or falling stars.

Virtually every major artist has performed on it, and for musicians on the rise, it’s a sign that they have almost arrived, that they’ve attained enough popularity or curiosity or — perhaps most important — controversy for the show to take a chance on them. It was the first mainstream American television show to feature new wave (Devo 1978), hip-hop (Funky Four Plus One 1981), hardcore punk, and many other sub-genres.

What serious music fan can’t remember a classic performance on the show, if not a dozen, if not 50? David Bowie — who delivered arguably the best all-time...

What follows is a montage of Chalamet’s look-alikes performing various duties around Studio 8H — meeting with the writers, working on the monologue, and listening to Mikey Day brag about hosting Is It Cake?

New Bon Jovi Anthology Book Authored by Jon Bon Jovi Chronicles Band’s History
Image
A new Bon Jovi anthology book, Bon Jovi: Forever, is set for a June release via Genesis Publications.

The lavish tome was authored by Jon Bon Jovi himself and chronicles the band’s 40-plus-year career. The books are handmade in a limited edition of 1,500 copies — each hand-signed by Jbj — and are packaged with a bevy of extra collectibles.

The 264-page compendium is quarter-bound in black vegan leather and is housed in a black clamshell box. Content-wise, the book features Jon Bon Jovi’s 35,000-word narrative biography alongside interviews and memorabilia, including handwritten lyrics, tour passes and posters, stage costumes, guitars, studio track lists, plus hundreds of photographs from the band’s personal archives and private collections.

An excerpt from Jbj in the book reads: “I was single-minded. There was no plan B, even before there was an audience. It was just the feeling that you got singing a song, and then playing in a band.

Sam Moore Dies: Half Of Grammy-Winning ‘Soul Man’ Duo Sam & Dave Was 89
Image
Sam Moore, one-half of the Grammy-winning R&b duo Sam & Dave behind ’60s hits “Soul Man,” “Hold On I’m Coming” and “I Thank You,” died this morning in Coral Gables, Fla. at the age of 89.

The cause of death was listed as complications recovering from surgery.

Born on October, 12, 1935, Moore grew up in Miami’s Overtown and Liberty City neighborhoods and began his musical journey in church. Upon becoming the singing Mc and talent show host at Miami’s King O’ Hearts Club, he met Dave Prater, a local baker who tried out for the club’s talent show. Thus was the genesis of Sam & Dave, who were eventually inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1992.

After being discovered in late 1964 at the club, where they had become locally known, Sam & Dave were signed to Atlantic Records. Jerry Wexler loaned the duo to Atlantic’s southern production arm,...

Sam Moore, Legendary Soul Singer and Member of Sam & Dave, Dead at 89
Image
Sam Moore, one-half of the legendary soul group Sam & Dave, known for their iconic hits including “Soul Man” and “Hold On I’m Coming,” has died at the age of 89.

According to Roger Friedman of Showbiz 411, Moore passed away on Friday, January 10th due to complications from a recent surgery.

A native of Miami, Moore began singing in his local church and briefly considered pursuing a career in gospel music. However, he had a change of heart after seeing Jackie Wilson perform in concert and shifted his focus to pop and soul. He met future collaborator, Dave Prater, at a talent show, and together they began recording music as Sam & Dave. By 1965, the duo signed a record contract with Atlantic Records and were subsequently “loaned out” to Stax Records, through which they released their biggest hits. In 1968, Sam & Dave appeared at Martin Luther King, Jr.’s memorial concert at Madison Square Garden.

A Complete Unknown: Timothée Chalamet to pull double duty on SNL as host and musical guest
Image
Very few people serve as both host and musical guest on Saturday Night Live. When it does happen, the host/musical guests are icons such as Elton John, Taylor Swift, Ray Charles, Paul Simon, or Britney Spears. In the history of SNL, only four of the double-duty hosts have been non-professional musicians, with the last being Deion Sanders in 1995 (although Bon Jovi also performed that night). We can soon add Timothée Chalamet to that list as the star of A Complete Unknown will host and serve as the musical guest on the January 25th episode of SNL.

Given the dozens of Bob Dylan tunes Chalamet sings in A Complete Unknown, it’s reasonable to assume that he’ll belt out a few of those, but the actor is also a big fan of rap music, so anything could happen. Might we witness the return of ‘Lil Timmy Tim?

Timothee Chalamet set as ‘SNL’ host and musical guest as ‘A Complete Unknown’ Oscar campaign continues
Image
Like a rolling stone gathers no moss, Timothee Chalamet’s awards campaign for A Complete Unknown continues unabated. On Friday, NBC announced Chalamet will host the Jan. 25 edition of Saturday Night Live and serve as the night’s musical guest. The expectation is that Chalamet, who plays Bob Dylan in the new film, will perform Dylan songs on the broadcast.

Regardless of the playlist, Chalamet’s dual role on the broadcast will make some Saturday Night Live history. He’s among a select few non-professional singers or traditional musicians who have served as SNL hosts and performed as musicians on the same show, joining names like Lily Tomlin, Desi Arnaz, and Deion Sanders.

The SNL appearance is the latest high-profile stop on Chalamet’s press tour and awards campaign for A Complete Unknown. The actor has spent the last month promoting his work in James Mangold’s film – including a...

Image
Warning: The following contains Spoilers for No Good Deed season 1.No Good Deed show creator addresses the possibility of a second season. The dark comedy series stars Friends actor Lisa Kudrow and Ice Age star Ray Romano as a married couple who are selling their house three years after their son's death. The season 1 finale ties up many loose ends, including solving a three-year-long murder mystery and uncovering the true face of a neighbor, who turns out to be a manipulative woman and a criminal. The series also plants a potential arc, with the new owner of the Los Feliz home hiding another massive secret.

In an interview with TV Insider, the Netflix series' creator, Liz Feldman, discusses her thoughts on coming back for another season. While season 1 has wrapped up the story with satisfaction in eight episodes, Feldman reveals that she has a "very clear idea" of what season 2 will be about,...

‘No Good Deed’ Soundtrack: All The Songs You’ll Hear In The Netflix Series
Image
Liz Feldman’s No Good Deed has suspense, emotion and humor all in one. The murder mystery series starring Lisa Kudrow, Ray Romano, Abbi Jacobson, Denis Leary, Poppy Liu. O-t Fagbenle, Teyonah Parris, Luke Wilson and Linda Cardellini arrived on Netflix Dec. 12.

Throughout the series, several songs emphasize moments or themes in the show, like that of home, which is punctuated by Ozzy Osbourne and Motley Crue songs. A Eurythmics number sets the tone at a big scene in the finale, and a Bon Jovi song also pulls at the sinister side of the story.

Several other original songs performed by different characters put some spin on the series, which follows the Morgans, Lydia (Kudrow) and Paul (Romano) as they attempt to sell their house to reasonable buyers so that they can move on from a tragic event that happened there a few years ago. Thus, three couples — Leslie (Jacobson...

Who Ended Up Getting The Morgan House In No Good Deed
Image
Warning! Spoilers for Netflix's No Good Deed ahead!

No Good Deed follows three couples as they make desperate attempts to claim a prime piece of real state—but who ends up buying the Morgan home in the end? Of course, this Netflix series isn't just about home hunting. Every character in this black comedy is hiding a secret, and the house in Los Feliz is hiding more than any of those vying to have their offer accepted. Add in the fact that the current owners, Paula and Lydia Morgan (Ray Romano and Lisa Kudrow), can't agree on much of anything, and this competitive market becomes all the more complicated.

At the start of Netflix's No Good Deed, it's clear that the Morgans experienced something terrible in the Los Feliz house. It's been three years since a tragic death occurred within the walls, which means the time has finally come...

No Good Deed Soundtrack Guide: Every Song & When They Play
Image
Warning! Spoilers for Netflix's No Good Deed ahead!

Netflix's No Good Deed features a soundtrack that perfectly sets the tone for this dark comedy. The series follows a couple attempting to sell their home without dredging up too many dark secrets and comes from Dead to Me's Liz Feldman, with music by Siddhartha Khosla. Along with an original score, No Good Deed features a variety of popular rock, classical, and pop songs, many of which perfectly fit the theme of house and home. Then, to sweeten the pot even further, the Netflix series features a couple of original songs from artist Rachael Cantu.

It's quickly clear in Netflix's No Good Deed that the central couple, Paul and Lydia Morgan (Ray Romano and Lisa Kudrow), are hiding something. Of course, they aren't the only ones since each member of the three couples vying for their Los Angeles home keeps some secrets as well.

Dem Operatives Offer an Exhaustive Accounting of the Harris Campaign’s Faults
Image
Kamala Harris raised more than $1.5 billion dollars in less than 107 days — a staggering, incomprehensible sum of money that signified an enormous confidence in her ability to deliver the presidency — and then she went on to lose all seven battleground states and the popular vote to a four times-indicted, twice-impeached, convicted felon and adjudicated sexual abuser. If losing that badly weren’t fuck-up enough, the campaign appears to have ceased operations tens of millions of dollars in debt.

The party’s financial outlook is so bleak that, on November 18, the Democratic...

Matthew McConaughey's Only Two War Movies Are Streaming on Netflix
Image
Matthew McConaughey has proven himself as a jack of all trades in Hollywood. He's starred in everything from a handful of 2000s romantic comedies to heavy-hitting dramas like The Lincoln Lawyer and Dallas Buyer's Club (for which he won the Oscar for Best Actor), not to mention his role as a stripper in Magic Mike, a disturbing villain in Killer Joe, an animated koala in the Sing franchise, or his iconic role in Dazed and Confused. McConaughey is able to fully embody any role he takes on.

However, in U-571 and Free State of Jones, the celebrated star takes on a totally different genre: War. Portraying rugged men who manage to be compassionate yet headstrong leaders while running head-first into battle seems to come naturally to him. Though one film is fashioned more as a blockbuster with giant explosions and nail-biting turns and the other a more zoomed-in analysis of...

Lady Gaga Sings ‘God Bless America,’ and Oprah Winfrey Pleads for ‘Voting for Healing Over Hate,’ to Close Out Kamala Harris’ Final Campaign Rally
Image
Lady Gaga fans who were wondering what song she would pull out for Kamala Harris’ final rally in Philadelphia Monday night got a song arguably even more glorious than “Edge of Glory” — Irving Berlin’s “God Bless America” — to preface the candidate’s speech. But she didn’t let down those who wanted to hear her own inspirational anthem, returning after Harris’ climactic speech to indeed belt out “Edge of Glory” as the clock struck 12 and election day officially arrived.

“For more than half of this country’s life, women didn’t have a voice,” Gaga said in introducing “God Bless America” while sitting at the piano. The singer spoke of women during that time who “raised children. We held our families together. We supported men as they made the decisions. But tomorrow, women will be a part of making this decision. Today I am holding in my heart all the tough,...
