We present the list of winners of the 5th Singkuwento International Film Festival that took place from February 19th until the 27th, in the city of Manila (Philippines).

Born in 2012 this festival´s objective is to unite both Filipino and foreign filmmakers in one place. It is an avenue for Filipinos both in the Philippines and abroad to share their voices, sentiments and thoughts via the films they created. It also give a channel for non-Filipinos to share their impressions of the Philippines and its people.

We just got word on a new trailer from the Noel Tan directed Filipino film Darkest Night, which will be released in the U.S. later this year. Check it out!

Not sure if that's the title I would have gone with considering the final Batman movie comes out later this year as well, but maybe they'll grab some extra ticket sales when some bumpkins accidentally wander into their film thinking they're about to see the Caped Crusader and Bane duke it out. Hey, every dollar counts, right? The film stars DJ Perry, Anne Gauthier and French Filipina. It also features Issa Litton, Nic Campos, Jill Palencia, Marife Necesito, Zeny Sevilla, Kevin Vitug and Jonas Gruet.

Chilling Film Darkest Night to Hit Theaters Soon
Darkest Night is currently in post-production and looking to hit theaters in April. The film is a psychological struggle for the characters involved as a family gathering devolves into a nightmare. Check out the newest trailer and some official Darkest Night stills.

You can get all the info you'd like about Darkest Night at the official website. The film has almost all Filipino actors, as well as American DJ Perry. Co-starring in Darkest Night is Anne Gauthier, a newcomer to film, and French Filipina. Pull Your Hands Down from Your Eyes for this First Trailer and Poster for Darkest Night
The first trailer and poster for Noel Tan's Darkest Night is now showing. This is a film which was shot in the Philippines and Darkest Night blends supernatural elements from both eastern and western cultures. The result is a crazed cult, who terrorizes local inhabitants. This film was produced by Gothic Pictures International with Collective Development and currently the film is in post-production. So, expect a release date soon, but for now, enjoy the blood curdling reel below.

The tag line for Darkest Night is: "The price of eternal life ... is eternal death."
