The Murder of Isabella Calthorpe’s Lawyer Character Must be Solved on The Inspector Lynley Mysteries
Nathaniel Parker and Sharon Small in The Inspector Lynley Mysteries (2001)
Tensions can often arise between people who clash in personality. Those conflicts can become even more amplified when detectives of differing backgrounds are forced to work together to solve murder cases. That’s certainly the case for the two lead characters of the hit British BBC One crime drama, ‘The Inspector Lynley Mysteries,’ including title protagonist, […]

Prince Harry Jokes About Harry Styles Before Cuddling With Cressida
Prince Harry
Prince Harry and his girlfriend, Cressida Bonas, got cozy at the We Day UK charity event at Wembley Arena on Thursday. Earlier this week, the pair had a dinner date, but the couple's We Day UK outing marked the first time Cressida joined him for an official royal appearance. On the red carpet, Cressida posed for pictures wearing sequined Converse alongside her half sister, Isabella Calthorpe, and Isabella's husband, Sam Branson. Inside, Cressida and Prince Harry sat with a big group of friends and family, which included Prince Harry's cousin Princess Beatrice. During the event, Prince Harry took the stage to speak in front of more than 12,000 students, joking, "For those of you who were expecting Harry Styles here, I apologize, and no, I am not going to sing." He also admitted to feeling nervous on stage before adding, "Some people do not think it is cool to help others.

Sorry Ladies, Prince Harry and Cressida Bonas Are Still Going Strong
Prince Harry
Prince Harry and Cressida Bonas are still going strong. The young couple grabbed dinner at The Ivy in London on Monday night with Cressida's brother-in-law, Sam Branson. (Sam married Cressida's half-sister, Isabella Calthorpe, in 2013.) Monday was a busy day for Harry as he attended England's national Service of Thanksgiving at Westminster Abbey in London. The young royal was at the event, which was attended by Prime Minister David Cameron and Idris Elba, on behalf of Queen Elizabeth II, who couldn't make it to the service due to other commitments. Harry and Cressida's night out comes just a few months after they battled breakup rumors. They weren't the only royal couple who had a night off as Kate Middleton and Prince William hit up a club in London last Friday to celebrate their friend Louise Aubrey-Fletcher's birthday. Night Wolf (2010)
Directed by: Jonathan Glendening

Written by: Adam Phillips

Featuring: Isabella Calthorpe, Tom Felton, Gemma Atkinson

In Night Wolf, young student Sarah Tyler (Isabella Calthorpe) returns home from the United States to her dysfunctional family home in the English countryside. Sarah returns home to a father that seems isolated, a missing mother and gang of brothers that are all messed up in one way or another. While at home, she meets up with her brothers and a group of her old friends hanging out while a wild storm rages outside. The group notices some strange movements throughout the house that soon turn into a bloody rampage by this mysterious creature. Over the next 13 hours, Sarah and her friends are on the run within the house trying to survive the night.

It should be noted that Night Wolf is actually a British film called 13 Hrs from 2010 that has been repackaged for the North American market.

Scream at the Screen in Anger with Night Wolf!: A Movie Review
*here be spoilers. Director: Jonathan Glendening. Writers: Adam Phillips. Cast: Gemma Atkinson, Tom Felton, Joshua Bowman and Isabella Calthorpe Tagline: "A deadly secret is coming home." It is always strange to see a pin-up model headlining a film. Gemma Atkinson's film career can be summed up in six titles. Moving over to the crew, Jonathan Glendening is familiar to this reviewer for his terrible outing titled S.N.U.B. (reviewed here). Glendening also directed Strippers vs. Werewolves. With this type of pedigree, one might think they are entering amateur hour at the theatre. They or you would be right to think this. Night Wolf, previously titled 13 Hrs, is a werewolf film with many annoying characters. This is the same problem that plagued Glendening's S.N.U.B.. It is hard to enjoy a horror film when you just want all of the characters to fall off the face of the Earth.

'Night Wolf' to Release on DVD in April
by MoreHorror.com

It's been a while since we've seen werewolves on the big screen. Now, for better or worse, a new film debuting from Lionsgate called Night Wolf (yeah, that's really the title) releases to DVD on April 24.

We searched for a trailer to share with everyone but were unable to track one down on Youtube. So for now it seems you'll have to judge the film by its cover or synopsis, which can be seen below.

Synopsis:

A deadly creature emerges from the dark this April as Lionsgate debuts Night Wolf on DVD, Digital Download and On Demand.

The horror film stars Isabella Calthorpe (How To Lose Friends & Alienate People), Tom Felton (the Harry Potter series) and Joshua Bowman (TV's "Revenge").

Sarah (Calthorpe) has avoided coming home to visit her family for quite some time. But when she finally does arrive, a storm is raging through her hometown...

Jonathan Glendening’s 13Hrs Takes a Bite Out of the Us as Night Wolf
I thought one of the coolest things about “Strippers vs. Werewolves” director Jonathan Glendening’s 2010 monster flick “13Hrs” was that you didn’t know what sort of creature you were dealing with until the end of the feature. Lionsgate pretty much spoils the surprise by not only retitling the film “Night Wolf” but also by sticking the beast front and center on the DVD artwork. At any rate, at least the film is finally getting a release here in the States. It’s not the sharpest werewolf movie you’ve ever seen, mind you, but it’s certainly quite a bit stronger than most of its direct-to-video brethren. Specifically, here’s what the film is about: Sarah (Isabella Calthorpe) has avoided coming home to visit her family for quite some time. But when she finally does arrive, a storm is raging through her hometown, and she and her family find themselves isolated.

Horror Channel announce the ‘Heritage of Horror’ season
Following the success of last year’s Cruel Britannia season, Horror Channel have announced another Brit-centric season, the Heritage Of Horror, which continues to showcase and celebrate British horror, past and present, at its finest – featuring two classics from the vaults and two brand new films, yet to be shown on UK television. I know I’ll be tuning in every Friday night – especially considering Horror Channel are showing one of my all-time favourite horror movies, the superb Blood on Satan’s Claw. I can also recommend 13Hrs, which I saw at FrightFest in 2010, it’s a great little (and by little I mean claustrophobic), werewolf movie. You can read my review of 13Hrs here.

From the press release:

First up, on Friday March 9, is Gary Sherman’s 1973 Death Line. Set on the London Underground, this moody shocker features brilliant horror icon Donald Pleasance in the lead role as a cockney copper.

Brit Werewolf Movie 13Hrs Arrives on DVD this April as Night Wolf
Even though Jonathan Glendening's British werewolf thriller '13Hrs' was released on DVD back at Halloween 2010 here in the UK our American counterparts are yet to experience the houndish horror. The movie has been picked up by Lionsgate for distribution on DVD across the Us this April but will experience a title change from '13Hrs' to the disappointing 'Night Wolf'. This isn't the only Glendening helmed werewolf-related horror to see a release this year. How could we forget the intriguingly entitled 'Strippers vs Werewolves' starring 'A Nightmare on Elm Street' legend Robert Englund, 'Hostel's Barbara Nedeljakova and hottie stripper action from former soap stars Ali Bastian and Adele Silva. 'Night Wolf' stars Tom Felton ('The Rise of the Planet of the Apes'), Isabella Calthorpe, Gabriel Thomson, Joshua Bowman and busty ex-Hollyoaks star Gemma Atkinson (below). Blooded and Out to Thrill No One: A Movie Review
Director: Edward Boase.

Writer: James Walker.

Blooded is a faux documentary styled thriller in the vein of The Blair Witch Project, Atrocious and others. This title was released exclusively in the United Kingdom with first time feature filmmaker Edward Boase at the helm. Blooded covers fox hunting in England, which is still one part tradition and another part controversy. The silly scripted interviews break up much of the tension in the reenacted central story line. And, sadly, this film is not even brave enough to pick a side in the controversy.

Five friends head up to the Isle of Mull to get away from it all. Lucas (Nick Ashdon, Neil McDermott), the protagonist, is a fox hunter and an advocate for this sport. He has his eye on Liv (Cicely Tennant, Isabella Calthorpe) for marriage, but he also has some hounds nipping at his heels. The local anti-hunting league has...

13 Hours (aka 13 Hrs, 2010) Movie Review
It’s been a while since I’ve seen a good creature film, and while Jonathan Glendening’s “13 Hours” (also spelled “13 Hrs”) isn’t the best the genre has to offer, it’s still a reasonably entertaining effort. At the very least, at about 80 minutes of running time it never once bored me, which, let me assure you, is a major win. Though I have to admit, the set-up was a bit much, with zero traces of anything supernatural or creature-ish happening whatsoever until the creature begins attacking at around the 20-minute mark. I suppose we should be thankful Glendening and screenwriter Adam Phillips care enough to even attempt at proper introductions of the various meat – er, I mean, characters. Unfortunately they all come across as dicks instead of people I should be rooting for, so there you go. “13 Hours” opens with Sarah (Isabella Calthorpe) returning to her family’s...

Frightfest 2010: 13 Hrs review
Is 13 Hrs [sic] a film? It's a serious question. Jonathan Glendening's haunted house slasher flick feels more like a cheap and cheerful piece of late-night British genre television, only with more blood and guts thrown in than even post-watershed programming usually allows.

There's the largely attractive young cast most of whom speak in clipped, public school diction; the ex-soap star plainly there to show off her curves; the slightly guilty handling of sexual content and profanity; the threadbare effects, beyond the one big set piece that used up all the money...

The first third or so doesn't suggest it's going to be anything more cinematic. Sarah Tyler (Isabella Calthorpe) arrives back in England to find her family's stately home crumbling into ruin, her parents' marriage falling apart at the seams and the bills mounting up unpaid. Her siblings and their friends are drinking and smoking themselves into oblivion when something...

FrightFest 2010 Review: 13Hrs
13Hrs

Stars: Gemma Atkinson, Isabella Calthorpe, Tom Felton, Joshua Bowman, Peter Gaddiot | Written by Adam Phillips | Directed by Jonathan Glendening

Sarah Tyler returns to her troubled family home in the isolated countryside, for a much put-off visit from Los Angeles. The rundown stately pile isn’t so much a money pit as a financial abyss though and the massive cost of the ongoing renovations has caused much distanced friction between Sarah’s parents. But as a storm rages outside, Sarah, her family and friends leave all their problems at the door and shore up for the night, cut off from the outside world. But something is about to come out of the driving rain and darkness. Something that needs to kill and is looking for human prey amongst the distressed and trapped group of people scared out of their wits in the vast darkness. Something that holds a terrifying secret so devastating that,...

Film4 FrightFest 2010: Kaboom Out, Damned by Dawn In
A slight change has occurred to the lineup of the UK's popular horror film festival Film4 FrightFest due to the withdrawal of Kaboom by its director Gregg Araki. But no worries; Plan B is now in effect, and writer/director Brett Anstey's Damned by Dawn will be screening in its place.

Here's the skinny straight from the Film4 FrightFest website:

We were keeping Brett Anstey’s Damned By Dawn for our special Halloween extravaganza because it’s not going to be released in the UK until spring 2011. But we’ve been given special permission to show this gory Australian goodie in August instead by our friends at Odin’s Eye Entertainment, and we couldn’t be more pleased. Damned By Dawn concerns a Banshee on the loose and is the nearest thing you’ll see to an Evil Dead 4, its clear Sam Raimi influences making it a remarkably effective piece of visual spookery.

Considering how generally well regarded Dog Soldiers is, it's no surprise a new flick from the UK, 13 Hrs, is marketing itself as being "from the producers of" that film. Even so, based on 13 Hrs' synopsis and cast & crew, it looks potentially good enough to stand on its own merits.
