Lady Gaga is the leading nominee for the 2025 Video Music Awards, and one of her collaborators is right on her heels.

Gaga has 12 nominations for the VMAs, including for video of the year (for “Die With a Smile”), artist of the year and album of the year for Mayhem. Bruno Mars has 11 total nominations, all for his collaborations with Lady Gaga on “Die With a Smile” and K-pop artist Rosé on “Apt.”

Kendrick Lamar picked up 10 nominations, seven of them for his video for “Not Like Us.” It will compete for video of the year with “Die With a Smile,” “Apt.,” Ariana Grande’s “Brighter Days Ahead,” Billie Eilish’s “Birds of a Feather,” Sabrina Carpenter’s “Manchild” and The Weeknd and Playboy Carti’s “Timeless.”

Gaga’s dozen nominations are followed by 11 for Bruno Mars, 10 for Kendrick Lamar, eight apiece for Sabrina Carpenter and Rose, and seven each for Ariana Grande and the Weeknd. Maareesan is set to release this week and marks the reunion of Fahadh Faasil and Vadivelu after their collaboration in the 2023 political drama Maamannan. However, unlike their previous outing, Maareesan is not a political film. This time, the story unfolds as a road movie. In an interview with OTTPlay, director Sudheesh Sankar revealed that while the first half plays out like a thriller, the second half will take the audience by complete surprise. He also noted that Vadivelu will be seen in a role unlike anything he has done before.

The idea of bringing Fahadh Faasil and Vadivelu together for a film like this, the director revealed, came only after watching Maamannan. In that sense, Maamannan acted as a catalyst for Maareesan. As for the title, there’s an interesting story behind it, too. The name Maareesan is drawn from the Hindu epic Ramayan.

There are a few shows or movies that set a standard and a template for a whole genre. In a recent interview, she discussed the possibility of making a comeback, and she recounted her big break on the ABC soap, noting that she auditioned for various acting roles.

However, breaking into the entertainment industry proved to be a challenging endeavor. Initially, Livingston was unsure about joining the show, but her father encouraged her to think of it as a “vacation” rather than just a “job.

On Thursday night (January 23), Matthew McConaughey brought along the couple’s 15-year-old daughter Vida to the Ut Women’s Basketball game against the Tennessee Volunteers in Austin, Texas.

“Having children I know has made me a better artist and has made me a better actor, because kids see things for the first time all the time. “The most requested recipe in the house for me to make by Ma Mac and Matthew—would be the no-mayo coleslaw”, Camila told Southern Living, referencing her popular coleslaw recipe that uses olive oil, vinegar and lemon juice in place of mayonnaise.

As per ‘People’, their children’s taste buds crave for something sweeter. “For the kids, it’s the honey chicken,” Camila added.

In that recipe, wings and drumettes get marinated and baked, and then drizzled with honey before going under the broiler. Matthew chimed in with one of their more hearty favourites.

In its first three weeks on Netflix, “Loudermilk” has made Nielsen’s Top 10 chart for acquired streaming programs each week: eighth twice and 10th once. As an Amazon Prime Video series, “Loudermilk” never charted — and it is safe that say it never came close.

What was old was extremely new on Netflix in January and even into this month.

Specifically, the Peter Farrelly-created dramedy series about addiction, Loudermilk, which was barely found in its original run on the now-unplugged AT&T Audience Network, became a must-see show on the streamer six-plus years after its original airing.

In Nielsen’s Top 10 for Streaming Originals (January 8-14), Loudermilk ranked No. 8 with 846 million viewing minutes.

But even before that list was published, Loudermilk was showing signs of life across the streamer’s own Top 10 charts. Loudermilk Season 1 was in the Netflix Top 10 most-viewed shows in the U.S. for four weeks with a peak rank of No. 4 during the week of January 15-21. Season 2 of Loudermilk ranked in the Netflix top 10 stateside during the week of July 28.
