While Captain America can deliver a heart-warming and hopeful plea to his allies, only Thor has the power to wield his words with the weight of the King of All Gods. With the highest seat in Asgard, Thor carries a deep sense of reassuring strength when tragedy befalls his subjects. He may not rally others as effortlessly as Steve, but the heavenly weight of a god’s words is incomparable.
Steve Rogers and Thor have a lot in common. Regardless of their initial reasoning, both have carried the tremendous responsibility of leading armies of soldiers. They make life-and-death decisions on behalf of others but push themselves to go beyond their expectations of leadership for the betterment of their teams.
But as charismatic as Captain America’s speeches are, he’s only been around for a little over a century. Thor has had millennia more experience commanding, now fully stepping up to command all of Asgard.

Marvel Comics Sentry is one of the most powerful beings to ever walk amongst Earths Mightiest Heroes. Having gone toe to toe with the likes of Thor, The Hulk, and Namor, there arent many that can compare to the Golden Guardian of Goods raw power.
But even for a superhero regularly seen as 'Marvel's own Superman-level superhuman,' all that power doesnt make Bob Reynolds entirely unstoppable. And for all his great strength, these are the Sentry's biggest weaknesses pulled straight from Marvel Comics.
Negative Zone Energy
For all his vaunted power, the Sentry is as vulnerable to the Negative Zone as any other Marvel Hero, if not more so. As established in Sentry #3 by Paul Jenkins, John Romita Jr., and Mark Morales, prolonged exposure to the Zone incapacitates Bob with the N-Space effect a crippling onslaught that renders the Sentry both physically powerless as well as emotionally overwhelmed.

The Sentry is considered by many to be one of Marvel Comics strongest superheroes, but such a reputation does Bob Reynolds a major disservice. With the power of one million exploding suns, the Golden Guardian of Good wields abilities far above not only mortal men, but most of his superheroic counterparts.
The Sentrys powerset is nothing short of godlike. And while he has access to more traditional superpowers like flight and super-strength, its these abilities that make him greater than any simple superhero.
Invisibility
One of the Sentrys lesser-known abilities is the classic superpower of invisibility. Using his mastery over energy to alter light rays and avoid detection, Reynolds stealth capabilities are startlingly understated. Civil War: The Return #1by Sentrys creator, Paul Jenkins, Tom Raney, and Scott Hanna puts Bob on the receiving end of these abilities after his powers are mimicked by Crusher Creel, the Absorbing Man.

Warning: Spoilers for Captain America (2023) #14 ahead!
Captain America has seen more than his fair share of tragedies, leading the Marvel universe from one world-shaking battle to another - but when city-destroying calamity happens on an average monthly basis, which events become memorialized, and which are just part of the day-to-day? Readers get a rare glimpse into this process as one specific disaster is revealed to have legendary status in Captain America's mind.
Captain America (2023) #14, by J. One of the greatest battles that I have ever seen from Iron Man and the Avengers was when they fought Bob Reynolds, also known as the Sentry. At this point in the comics, the Sentry had been taken over by his evil alter ego, the Void, who wielded all the power he needed to end the world. This scenario may sound like an amazing climactic fight, but I've seen a few fans confused about how it actually ended.
The battle against the Void in Siege #4 by Brian Michael Bendis and Olivier Coipel is massive and bloody. While characters like Captain America, Thor, Luke Cage, and Captain Marvel are all pretty heavy hitters, they absolutely paled in comparison to the Void, which is why I think some fans seem to find it odd how the Void was beaten so quickly. But after reading over the issue myself, it really wasn't quick or easy.

Infamous Marvel villain Rhino, a perennial Spider-Man rogue, has just received a major upgrade, one that makes him a powerhouse on the level of the Juggernaut. In their previous brief encounters in Marvel canon, Rhino always comes out on the losing side, but now one surprising story might just show the design that could finally give Rhino the win.
Spider-Gwen: The Ghost-Spider #4 by Stephanie Phillips and Paolo Villanelli revealed the surprising secret weapon that might even the playing field between Rhino and Juggernaut. In this story, the Chameleon's powers are going out of control, and he is continually shapeshifting into different Spider-Man villains, their powers included.
At one point, Chameleon shapeshifts into the Rhino, showcasing a never-before-seen design, which boasts a very Juggernaut-esque helmet and significantly tougher armor all over his body, and this new armor might just be the key to Rhino finally overcoming his rivalry with the Juggernaut.

Janet Van Dyne's death in Secret Invasion feels arbitrary and unfair, serving mainly to shock readers and make other heroes feel sad. Like many characters in Marvel Comics, Wasp doesn't stay dead for long, with Brian Michael Bendis bringing her back a few years later. Wasp's death in Secret Invasion serves as a commentary on an infamous Avengers moment, highlighting the mistreatment of female characters in comics.
When Marvel Comics' 2008 crossover Secret Invasion happened, it claimed the life of a founding Avenger, the Wasp, which was especially heartbreaking because she was barely even involved in the story. This "shock death" is emblematic of several problems with major comic crossover events of the era, and the carelessness with which female characters are often treated in comics. Its also a metatextual examination of Marvels most contentious relationship, though thats still no excuse for what happens.

One of the enduring conundrums concerning Batman has been the inconspicuous movements of his Bat-Vehicles to and from Wayne Manor, a potential giveaway to the secret of Bruce Wayne being the Dark Knight. Warning: Spoilers for Batman/Catwoman: The Gotham War - Scorched Earth #1 ahead!
The Gotham War comes to an end, but the true winner is the Batman of Zur-En-Arrh, who successfully severs Batman from his allies. Batman's backup personality, Zur-En-Arrh, has been controlling him throughout the war, leading to increasingly rash actions and isolating Batman from those who could help him. Batman is now more vulnerable than ever, as he is left alone without Catwoman or the Bat-Family to protect him from the influence of Zur-En-Arrh.
The Gotham War has ended almost as suddenly as it began, but neither Batman nor Catwoman's side has won in the end. Instead, victory goes to the puppet master orchestrating things all along: not Vandal Savage, but rather the Batman of Zur-En-Arrh, who has finally succeeded in severing Batman from the last of his allies.
The Gotham War concludes in Batman/Catwoman:...

Lady Loki has become an important symbol of self-expression and gender exploration in the Marvel Universe, both in the comics and the MCU. A spectacular cosplay by @jamiebearfancypants celebrates Lady Loki's regal and sinister design, capturing the iconic look. The introduction of Lady Loki and Loki's gender fluidity opens up the possibility for the MCU to further explore how gender informs Loki's character and godhood.
One of the most appealing things about Marvel’s Loki is that they can be whatever they choose to be, and a new cosplay is celebrating Loki’s classic Lady Loki form. Lady Loki has become a touchstone, not just because a version has appeared in the MCU, but because she helped to begin the trend of Loki’s self-expression going beyond his classic villainous male-presenting form — even if it took her death to truly kickstart that revolution.

Warning: Spoilers for The Immortal Thor #2 ahead!Just as Thor has come into his own as King of Asgard just in time to confront an invasion from Utgard, so has Loki embraced their new aspect as "The Teller of Tales." Now sporting a fantastic redesign, Loki's new style is an homage to another exemplary trickster character - David Bowie's Jareth the Goblin King, from the 1986 film Labyrinth. The resemblance marks Marvel's Loki finally coming into their own as a gender-fluid icon.
Al Ewing, Martín Cóccolo, and Matthew Wilson's The Immortal Thor #2 opens with Thor calling upon the mighty Thor-Force in his duel against Toranos. Although Thor is able to win a reprieve, he knows Toranos will return for him soon; to lure him away from the people of New York, Thor retreats to the abandoned Inhuman moon base to await his foe. However, instead of Toranos, Loki arrives.

Darth Vader's greatest strength is revealed, and it's connected to the controversial concept of midichlorians in Star Wars lore. Darth Vader defeats Cyn Sendvall, the son of the doctor who gave him cybernetic attachments, showcasing his superiority as someone who is not bound by a son's need for acceptance. The comic-book story highlights Anakin Skywalker's lack of a father and the reminder that midichlorians exist in-universe and are the source of Darth Vader's immense power.

Warning! Contains Spoilers for Knight Terrors: Poison Ivy #1!Every criminal in Gotham City fears Batman, but in Poison Ivy's newest nightmare, she sees the Dark Knight like never before. Readers can see Batman's hilariously terrifying new appearance in Knight Terrors: Poison Ivy #1 by G. Willow Wilson, Atagun Ilhan, Mark Morales, Arif Prianto, and Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou. An amazing piece of fanart has brought together three great armored suits for Spider-Man, Daredevil and Black Widow. None of these heroes are known for being bulletproof crime-fighters, but each has enjoyed at least one costume that enhanced their durability to superhuman levels.
Chris Ouellette (@cjolet) has brought back the spirit of the 90s with this armored fanart. Commissioned by Tim Stevens (@ungajje), Ouellette’s art brings together Spider-Man’s Spider-Armor Mk II, Daredevil’s black and red armor '90s armor, and Black Widow’s War Widow armor, with all three posed aggressively in a dark alley. Ouellette’s art perfectly captures how intimidating these costumes are, and uses the colored highlights of each to give the piece a visual pop, especially contrasted against the grays and blacks of the bodysuits themselves. Despite coming from completely different stories, the piece seamlessly brings all three costumes together.

The first trailer for Sony Pictures' Kraven the Hunter has revealed Aaron Taylor-Johnson's take on the titular character won't be the only Spider-Man villain to feature in the movie. The trailer's final moments offer a first glimpse of Alessandro Nivola's Rhino. The Rhino has only rampaged onto the big screen once before, played by Paul Giamatti in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. In that instance, he took his name from the mechanical suit of armor he wore, but Kraven the Hunter has opted for a very different take on the character.

Warning: Spoilers for Lazarus Planet: Revenge of the Gods #4More powerful than ever before, Wonder Woman's Amazon sisters now have the power to reshape the entire DC Universe. Themyscira has always been an independent "nation," but with one major change to the Amazons' status quo, they could be major players in the world of DC Comics.
The Amazons' history and political status quo have lately been a major focus of the Wonder Woman family of books, especially with Queen Hippolyta's death (and rise to godhood), Queen Nubia subsequent rise to power, and the integration of a third, long-lost Amazon tribe in Brazil. But even with these massive shake-ups, the Amazons—as they always have been—are an isolated people, often reluctant to reach beyond their borders. Despite Wonder Woman's status as a champion of "Man's World" and her history as a Themysciran ambassador, the other Amazons tend to remain on the island.

The following contains spoilers for Star Wars: Visions Season 2, Episode 9, "Aau's Song," streaming now on Disney+.
Throughout the Star Wars eras, Jedi have forged bonds with the Force in many ways that are tied to their own view of the Force. Some Jedi view the Force as a fire, some Jedi view the Force as a river, and these unique takes on the Force can lead to surprising abilities. In Star Wars: Visions' second season, Triggerfish's "Aau's Song" explores how Aau connects to the Force through music. Aau's Force singing ability is strong enough to purify an entire mine of kyber that has been corrupted by the Sith, a feat that most fully trained Jedi Masters would be unable to achieve.
Aau's connection to the Force through song mirrors the High Republic era's Avar Kriss. In Phase I of the Star Wars: The High Republic subseries, Avar can connect with...

Superman's greatest weakness is often considered to be green Kryptonite, the amber shade of Kryptonite is much more dangerous. Green Kryptonite de-powers him and causes him pain, but different colors have different effects on Kal-El, some even being a little sillier than serious. Some, however, have dire consequences and can even cause harm to others around Superman.
Originating from his home planet, Krypton, green Kryptonite weakens Kal-El similarly to radiation poisoning for humans. Many of his vilest enemies use the substance against him to bring Superman down to their level, Lex Luthor being among the most famous to use Kryptonite. Because of this, it's considered his Achilles' heel and the most powerful Kryptonite color, but the amber Kryptonite that spawned from his worst nightmare is even more powerful.
Superman's Worst Fear Come Alive
Amber Kryptonite was first introduced in Dark Nights: Death Metal - The Last 52: War of the Multiverses #1 by Regine Sawyer,...

Marvel Comics just changed again the origin story of its most powerful villains the Beyonders, less than a year after the last retcon. This is the third time that this all-powerful race of cosmic creatures gets a makeover, and it appears that this time it wasn't even planned.
In Avengers Beyond #1, by Derek Landy, Greg Land, Jay Leisten, and Frank D'Armata, the original Beyonder from Secret Wars reveals to the Avengers that he has been secretly "training" them to fight against an upcoming threat that is coming for him and his fellow Beyonders, the Lost One. According to the Beyonder's story, this creature created the members of his species, imbuing them "with the tiniest fraction of his power". The Beyonders then grew jealous of their creator and attacked him, stealing the rest of his power and trapping him for eons, until he finally got free and started hunting his treacherous creations.

Wonder Woman and the Amazons have always had a complicated relationship with DC's versions of the Greek gods, but now they're more alone than ever before. After the events of Lazarus Planet, the Amazons have officially been abandoned by the gods.
Queen Nubia and the Amazons on Themyscira learn of their fate in "The Stranger" from Lazarus Planet: Revenge of the Gods #1 by Becky Cloonan, Michael W. Conrad, Alitha Martinez, Mark Morales, John Livesay, Alex Guimarães, and Becca Carey. The story begins with two young men, clearly aspiring social media influencers, finding the usually un-findable island of Themyscira. Before the Amazons themselves can defend their home, the boys are killed by a stranger, another man claiming to be an ally.
He also tells Queen Nubia that he is a "messenger—one bearing ill news." He tells the Amazons that their island "is no longer under the protection of the gods.

Warning: Spoilers for DC Power: A Celebration #1Wonder Woman's Amazonian sister, Queen Nubia, just debuted a stunning new look to go along with her surprising talent. With this gown and her role as a harpist in a symphonic orchestra, Nubia is more like a queen than ever before.
Queen Nubia debuts her newest look in a story titled "The Queen, The Bee & The Symphony" featuring Bumblebee and her husband Mal Duncan. The short, from DC Power: A Celebration #1, follows the heroes as they prepare to attend Mal's debut as a conductor. Though they fight Monsieur Mallah and the Brain along the way, the focus is on Nubia, Bumblebee, and Mal's connection—especially once Mal invites Nubia to play the harp in his orchestra.
Nubia, of course, accepts the invitation, and the story ends with her playing a harp solo written by Mal. Her new ruffled red gown spreads out around...
